I am missing so many regular Rifts I have lost count. Still no Rifted Wick. Seems the only way I get a Rift is by accidently buying a twin though Mystery Eggs. Quite boring and it makes me loathe having to open the Rift.

I have 7 left: Elegant, Macabre, Tusk and 4 from the last event: Reminiscence, Venture, Spellmason and Frond. Sadly, Harmony and Yule were the only dragons I managed to breed during BeB despite going through the 10k breeds daily and and sometimes even the 20k ones. Ah well, at least the Runic Caves helped for the Twin collection so it wasn't a total write off.
(Speaking of Twins I'd like to put in an official whine to Venture, which has now reached 12 social clones without twinning. Come on buddy, you've made your point, now let me breed something else...)

I am missing Spellmason, Harmony, Yule, Frond and Thrasher. I did not go for Frond or Thrasher beyond the first days of release as I assume they will be permanent soon. I had all the twins so I used claims on Remi and Venture rifts. 😊

If I go through the dragonarium category by category (air, cold etc) and look at the Rift symbols in top left corner of each dragons icon, if there is a blank/ grey Rift symbol, then a rift version is breedable but I don’t have one yet....correct? Then I guess I have to check whether the dragon itself (once I get all elementals) is breedable... yes?

That’s correct, if the Rift symbol in the upper left corner is completely grey, you’re missing the Rift version of that dragon. If the hourglass is grey, the dragon is limited and unavailable; if the hourglass is green, it’s a go!

im still working on the rift so this will help me & i will post here with red! i love the picture of the habitats price cause it was easy to save the picture & keep on my mobile so i can get it when i need it. i will need it more cause they are getting to be a lot of etherum.

It’s been cool going through this thread at the beginning to seeing how new the Rift was for everyone! I have some parks that are smaller and don’t have all the habitats it takes a while to get enough etherm to buy the 30th habitat and up.
I don't think gemstone dragons can be used for breeding at all.
Breeding gemstone dragons sounds like a good suggestion to go under "Dear DECA"!
As Amos mentioned above, there was a mini-event called Shimmering Solstice that let players breed Gemstone and Crystalline dragons. And its return has been requested on the Dear Deca thread. It’s been more than three years since we’ve had a Shimmering event — so it never hurts to mention it again on Dear Deca if you want to! 😊

To answer your question it took me 4-5 months to get all the habitats but I worked really hard and collected E as much as I could. I didn’t buy mystery eggs and only had my dragons at level 11 to breed and lower if they weren’t breeding. I bred to 2500 but sometimes less. I was trying to save as much E as I could. It’s kind of a drag to not spend it on fun stuff but getting more habitats and upgrading is the only way you can make more E so it’s worth it later.
The habitats get really expensive so it takes longer to save up and get the next one. Depending on how much E I had I would upgrade and clear ether instead of buying a habitat b/c it was cheaper. But the thing is if you keep buying and upgrading you’re making more E so habitats like #55 look like you’ll never afford it now but once you have #50 or #52 it’s not as bad as it looks now b/c you’re making so much more E. it is still really expensive but it’s not so impossible.
Youll need to decide if it’s better to buy a new habitat or upgrade one you have.There’s some strategy to it but a lot depends on your E stash and how much it’ll cost to clear the purple clouds to make more room for the island if you’re going to take the less expensive route and upgrade.
