i just recently bought and leveled up my last rift habitat. When I left the game in early 2016, the light and dark rift dragons had just been introduced, so they were all I had. I returned to the game in late October last year. So, in less than a year, I have cleared all but two patches of etherium and bought and leveled up all the habitats. It does take a concerted effort to accomplish. At first, since I was missing so many dragons, I bought a lot of mystery eggs, but then I realized that had to stop if I wanted to get all the habitats, especially since the mystery eggs were getting more expensive. Also, because I like things orderly, and wanted to be able to arrange my rift habitats, I cleared most of my etherium before I bought the last 10 habitats. Then as I bought each habitat, I would level it up all the way before I started saving for the next one. I felt like that helped me to get them faster. During the event with Delicia and Tebori, I was breeding through the 10,000 E breeds, but when I still didn’t get either dragon, I cut down to the 5000 etherium breeds, because otherwise I couldn’t build up my etherium. I would also try to go in more often, if only to collect etherium. My baby park also has all the leveled up habitats, but I still have quite a bit of etherium to clear, so that is what I am working on now.

To answer your question it took me 4-5 months to get all the habitats but I worked really hard and collected E as much as I could. I didn’t buy mystery eggs and only had my dragons at level 11 to breed and lower if they weren’t breeding. I bred to 2500 but sometimes less. I was trying to save as much E as I could. It’s kind of a drag to not spend it on fun stuff but getting more habitats and upgrading is the only way you can make more E so it’s worth it later.
The habitats get really expensive so it takes longer to save up and get the next one. Depending on how much E I had I would upgrade and clear ether instead of buying a habitat b/c it was cheaper. But the thing is if you keep buying and upgrading you’re making more E so habitats like #55 look like you’ll never afford it now but once you have #50 or #52 it’s not as bad as it looks now b/c you’re making so much more E. it is still really expensive but it’s not so impossible.
Youll need to decide if it’s better to buy a new habitat or upgrade one you have.There’s some strategy to it but a lot depends on your E stash and how much it’ll cost to clear the purple clouds to make more room for the island if you’re going to take the less expensive route and upgrade.
It’s cool there’s a Rift thread. I know it’s not new but I never saw it. It was probably too far down. Let me know how y’all are doing w/ the Rift! I’ll try to help when I can

I have a baby park and I can’t focus on getting habitats because I keep spending all my E on breeds or leveling up dragons but I haven’t bought eggs so I guess that’s one temptation I’ve overcome.

In my Vale, I’m also rearranging ALL the islands. I have the giant island, that second one at the bottom, that is still sitting empty and a couple of other islands I’ve just been throwing thing on. A real shambles all around🙃. I’m hoping to have all my renovations and constructions complete before Xmas. 😊. I was thinking to start posting pics under island tours, but I still can’t understand how to post a photo 🤦🏻♀️

I'm not sure if anyone cares about traited dragons anymore, but I've got my first success in this Easter Event, A Rift Clairvoyant! (would have preferred no trait, but...)
Unfortunately, the trait is probably the saddest one, that it even beats the belly rifts. I thought my game was lying at first, until I've checked the Dragonarium and I'm like: "...That's it?"

After two lost years, I've finally claimed a Rifted Rosebud! I was using Rosebud and Woodvine in hope of getting either.
Fire trait does look good on it. Now, where is that Rift Pond...
Congratulations! That looks really cool with the fire trait. I have it with Earth and it doesn’t look as good. Maybe I’ll buy the fire trait. Thanks for the idea!

What is the actual, proven chance to produce a traited dragon, though?
I always took it for granted that the server flips a coin. Perhaps a slightly boosted chance for event dragons.
My luck to get a new release dragon traited just seemed way better than when old ones rolled around during BEB. However, the first thing I saw when I came here were people quoting really low chances

In the past, with Backflip’s Rift Expansion, there was a lot of anger and backlash when prices were increased and players were caught off guard. So, I asked Deca if they’d be willing to share this information in advance. They have kindly done this.
Knowing that the mystery egg caps and breeding prices are going to increase will prepare players. You can now strategise and either spend as much of your Etherium before 8 September on mystery eggs, or save it for the expansion. You also know there will be 20 new Rift islands and more Miasmic Ether to clear, so keep that cost in mind too.

The new Extravaganza will be a little different than the one in 2017
• All dragons in the Rift now earn double the Etherium • Releasing an egg after breeding will receive twice as much (200 Etherium) • Etherium Vortices payout double • Win more Etherium from the Dragon Track and Quests • There are three types of Fallen Stars hidden in your park that offer a variety of rewards
🌟 1 Yellow Fallen Star = 1 gem 🌟 1 Purple Fallen Star = 50 Etherium 🌟 3 Blue Fallen Stars = 250k DC per star

I love the double Rift extravaganza! It’s been fun seeing how much Etherium I can get. I wish the Extravaganza lasted a couple days, it was too short. But I’m really glad it’s back in the game!

I too loved the rift extravaganza. But———I spent all my new found etherium and then some! trying for that elusive rifted rotblossom. I’ve made a trip to a local orchard and picked some honey crisp apples and have some fresh eucalyptus leaves.. I’m off to the whine lounge - with a bottle of rose and red wine and cheese and crackers. I would love some company! 🐨🐨🐨🐨🐨🐨🐨
