Remember when I said Blazing and Wraith are my favorite Rift-i-fied dragons? Well, today I bred a Light Rift Crystal and it's super pretty. This time Crystal is my favorite rift-i-fied Dragon. Now I shall try to breed a Rift Mountain and Lava.
Even better that it did not take 24 hours to breed and 24 hours to incubate, right?

Hi vampdragon , yep two lots of info in OP, and a reminder to all of us, keep checking the OP for this thread, all the info gathered through everyone's intrepid experiments and mightily brilliant maths (avaunt) is either being posted there direct or has links to the post elsewhere 😉 Koala all and keep eating the brain supporting foods 🤓
OK double read the OP still don't see a escalated costs of clearing ?
Maybe I misunderstood your q does this help? ( thanks magpac!)
There is a user on Reddit who has cleared all the Miasmic Ether, I've left a post to ask how much it cost to clear it all. Will report back
And he said the cost increases by ~250 Etherium per square, with the last ones costing in the 38k range, so there's another 2.7-2.8 million Etherium required.
Assuming you get 40 habitats, all upgraded to level 5, and you collect them when they are full (200 Etherium, which is every 2 hours), that's 8000/collect. Or 350 collects to have enough to clear all the Miasmic Ether.
So assuming you can collect 5 times a day, after you are maxed on Etherium production, it will take ~2 months to clear all the Rift Park. And probably around that to *get* to full production.
I'd rank the layouts as 1, 3, 5 and 2, 4 from best to worst. 4 has fairly long distance from the start area and its buildings are away from the search path. 2 has the longest distance from the start area. 5 has the cave and tower reversed in the search path which is fine if you just want to know which set you're on, less so if you're specifically looking for the tower.
5 layouts leads to equal distribution if you base it on the park ID. I wonder if there's any correlation between your starting element and which layout set you're on. Bit of a long shot: even if they are both based on park id it could be different digits. Might be worth investigating anyway. I started Earth aligned and am on Layout 2 for whatever it's worth.
If the biggest Rift habitats are a reasonable size then there should be enough room for all of them. 8x8 would be ridiculous but I'm pretty sure they still fit even then. 6x6 leaves lots of room to play around with in the future. That's good.
I've cleared 3 lots of ether (costing 250, 320 and 405) and discovered I'm on layout 3, which I'm happy with. Just need to save 515 Etherium and I'll have my tower.
I think I started on the air alignment, although I only downloaded the update a day after it was released, not sure if that made a difference.
What house are you in Arkynos? 5 layouts, 5 houses... could be coincidence. I'm in hidden bolt.
Oh, and I've seen mention of ether regenerating! So total clearance could take longer and be more expensive than initially thought!
Edit: hubby has just discovered he's also on layout 3. He's in blazing gale and I think his rift started with the earth alignment. Doesn't look like there's an easy way to predict which layout we're on, unfortunately.

Looks like I'm on rift layout 5.
Can I just say that I dislike how Backflip did this? I expected them do to something like, uncovering 7 tiles reveals the tower, and then after 12 tiles you find the cave, regardless of which direction you went. That would still give a sense of exploration without being unfair.
Imagine if we didn't have this information. Since clearing costs go up with each one, we could've been floundering around for months trying to find our buildings. I bet some unlucky sap on layout 4 is going to find their tower in 2019, all the way in the upper left corner, under the last bit of ether. Meanwhile, layout 1 can find their tower with the very first thing they clear.

Mountain Sun, like Cyn, who has layout 1 via page... 2 I think? Does look like we're out of luck on the prediction front. It was worth checking regardless, could have saved people a lot of time, effort and purples if a link did exist.

My next square is 830 and still have to find my tower and cave I did see the map so I think I know were to start looking. The rift has sure made things interesting! Thanks for the help !

Thanks for posting the charts from reddit, now I know I'm Layout 1! My mothers account isn't and also not Layout 3, still have to investigate further, but tried the right path down the left corner by chance.

I'm layout 4, and I'm also hidden bolt. So it appears to not match based on your house.

Cry I'm at 3000 E for my 12th cloud . and still can't tell between layout 2 or 4. My stupid luck it will be 4. Previous two clouds were 1700 and 2450. I've cleared 11 for those who are counting these things.
Edit : Yup. I'm the unlucky one. Layout freaking 4. Unless I'm so special , I'm not one of the five. Cry

On the reddit page jWobblegong took lunboks' 'Hidden Rift Building Positions' and jazzed it up. Great for us visual learners. THANKS, jWobblegong and lunboks!
For the record: I am Mountain Sun, first two days in the Rift were set at Plant, and I am Rift Layout 1.
The Rift seems to cycle through the Elements as they were introduced to the game: Plant > Fire > Earth > Cold > Lightning > Water > Air > Metal > Light > Dark (EDIT: At least in my park it is... for now.)
Today for me was Cold so I expect tomorrow will be Lightning. Based on what you started with and what you were set at today, you can anticipate and move dragons back and forth before reset.

Iron blossom, started out as Plant, and I am on Lightning today.
Don't know what layout I am.

I pretend to move something and the game pieces shrink. Ok. If you want to hunt for your tower you need to clear the fog pieces in a line 3 down and one left starting from your metal dragon. And/or the one cloud where the rift hat is pointing towards. That will give you the best chance of finding out what layout you are. The tower silhouette shows up if it's in the light fog.

Besides knowing it exists, and where to look for it depending on where your tower is, is there any more information on the hibernation cave, like initial capacity, cost to expand, etc.? And whether dragons can move directly from one zone's cave into the other cave, or do they have to move into and out of habitats? I am wondering how important it will be to find quickly, having limited habitats and the 2 hour transit time is kind of a pain, but it will cost to make the path through the fog to the cave...

Guys. Thanks for all the helpful info. I have to be honest- I don't think I'm smart enough to understand how all this works. I keep reading but I legit think it's just a little beyond my intellectual capability. And that's ok. I will continue to play in the regular world and enjoy that. Hopefully there will still be new dragons there. If no, then that's a bummer.
