Hi...I've been in DV for several years, but just now found the community. Thanks for being here! I don't have Facebook, so getting friends is not happening...sad but true. I have a couple questions. First, how do you breed an Alpenglow, a Spore, and a Snowsquall? I didn't get these 3 in the Roar. I like the feel of the Rift, but it's so expensive! I am on a fixed income, so I can't spend a lot of money playing games....even DV...lol. Again, thanks for being here, I was about to give up on the game.
The reddit map doesn't make sense either. Look at my rift....according to their map I should have found the tower right?
No, I'm afraid not. Have a look at the edited image that's been shared. It's easier to understand than the original. The first square I cleared was under the point of the tower on the rift gate - that will be next to the tower if you have layout 1.
If you don't find anything there, the next square to clear is the one 2 below the habitat with blightwing and fire in in your screenshot. The edited map explains better - there's a link to it on the first page of this thread.
I hope you find your buildings soon. It might also be worth buying a couple more habitats first so it doesn't take as long to save up the ever increasing amount of Etherium you need for clearing. koala!

Welcome Iontra! I wasn't sure about the rift at first, but it's growing on me! I don't think we need to spend money on it (I'm not), just take it slowly. It's taken me years to get this far in my original park, so why should I expect to get everything in the rift straight away? I've barely bred anything in the rift yet, I've uncovered my transfiguration tower (even though I don't have anything to transfigured) and ploughed most of my Etherium into buying and upgrading habitats. Meanwhile, there's good company here in this community!
In answer to your question, I knew I'd seen this, but it was buried deep in many other posts. Mods, please could Vonfirmath's post go on the first page! Thank you!
I cannot find breeding hints for the Rift Elemental Dragons Earth Rift and Cold Rift cost 2500 Etherium Lightning Rift and Water Rift cost 3000 Etherium Air Rift and Metal Rift cost 3250 Etherium Plant Rift and Fire Rift cost 5000 Etherium (And were given to us on first entrance to the Rift) Dark Rift costs 10,000 Etherium Light Rift cost 15,000 Etherium
The House Elemental Rift Dragons do have Breeding Hints. I bought one for the good of all. (Spore because I am partial to Iron Blossom) Spore = Plant Trait + Plant + Metal + Rift (Spore itself only has Plant Trait)
I expect the other dragons to be similar. Alpenglow would be Lightning Trait + Earth + Light + Rift Blightwing would be Dark Trait (?) + Fire + Air + Rift Snowsquall would be Cold Trait + Cold + Water + Rift Voltaic would be Dark Trait + Dark + Lightning + Rift
So is it possible to breed any of the epics with a rift element? Like could you make a rift rainbow dragon, or are only the special rift dragons and the 90 hybrids the only possible outcomes?
No it's not unfortunately:( but that would be epic doh (geddit) But you might want to check out the rift exclusive rare dragons, I hear they are very hard to breed...

Regretfully, I have decided to stop contributing to the airships. No matter how appealing the Etherium they offer is. I did an evaluation for the Food to Etherium ratio and I'm having problems figuring out a scenario it makes sense in -- maybe if you have maxed out all your affordable habitats with dragons and need Etherium to buy more habitats/expand what you have? Maybe when your dragons are high enough level that you are using Etherium to level them and not food?
At the top level, Iron Blossom airships (At least) request 674,100 food and give you a total of 125 E.

Hate to say it, but I also was thinking along those same lines. I was feeling a bit guilty for abandoning my airship, but I'm glad to see your crunched numbers. Don't feel quite so bad anymore.
Just stopping in. Wondering if riftified dragons give any bonus to Collection or not? Or just to try for those dragons to breed new rift dragons?

there is supposed to be a new type of fire breathing dragonarium animation when you unlock all 900 traits available for the hatched dragons, and I personally will be at least trying to get the extra 90 eggs (they are all the same for each of the same type of rift dragon you breed, no matter which trait you egg, so since I bred two flowers with a fire trait, I just egg pedestal'd the second one. I've gotten 4/90 eggs so far. 😔 More long term goals, and while I'm glad to have something to work towards, I'm a bit disappointed we can't breed twin rifts for the moment (my dark rift twin egg is the only one of the primary elemental rift dragons that I have a twin of, and I have twins hatched of light and dark, but no others. It's a weird, unbalanced feel to the dragons). I don't know if I will be able to get all 900 traits unlocked by breeding, some may have to be bought with E3M.

I'm begrudgingly playing in the rift, can't abandon this when it took me so long to get my fiery dragorium. Anyways at moment I'm just trying to get the pedestals for the rifty versions of the house dragons. I shoved my spore and metal rift hoping for second spore or metal and what do I get, well besides a bunch of basic metals and plants I got a kampos and a plumewing. For kampos it was on a water alignment day and for plumewing it was a air alignment day.

How can I breed for dupes of the rift element dragons? i.e. how can I get a second water rift dragon, for example?
I am guessing that you'll have to buy them from the market. I can't think of any combos with the rift dragons that will produce a single element to get seconds.
No, you don't have to buy them. Got an Air Rift yesterday by breeding Air Rift and Water Rif

Can someone please post the accurate map(s) of where we can find the buildings in our rifts?

Try this one, and follow the instructions of which Miasma to clear. Except it's actually a TRANSFIGURATION Tower, not a Storage tower.

I have a green exclamation point on my rift portal, and cannot figure out what it's for. I have been in both realms and can't find anything that clears it. Ughhh can anybody help me???

Do you have dragons in the passage between park and rift? The exclamation point means your dragons are ready for their destination after their two hours journey.

So just to see if I've got it all straight in my mind, for general "no idea what's going on" players, we should follow these basic steps:
Go to the Rift. Collect from any habitats, click on the little whirlpool thingys for some extra etherium, send the airship out if you'd like (at the very least send the dragon, it'll get you a few extra etherium). You'll have a plant and a fire dragon at minimum since everyone started with those. Breed at the cave, for 1 Etherium. Sell that dragon unless you REALLY need it, which will net you 99 Etherium. Rinse and repeat until you've got enough for another habitat. Buy habitats, fill with rift dragons, buy more habitats. If you need more rift dragons, breed at the cave a few more times, but at some point it'll be 1000 etherium to breed, so stop and wait for it to reset the next day to continue doing that. Once you've bought 9 habitats, it's cheaper to start upgrading those that you've got, so upgrade all of the 9 habitats until you've upgraded once, then go back to buying more habitats and filling them with rift dragons.
At some point you'll need to clear the rift to make space. The most efficient way is the image Cyn posted via reddit, where you'll clear a total of 5 spots to figure out which configuration you're in. Once you know, start clearing spots toward the buildings. You could probably set a decent goal of clearing at least 1 spot a day with no problem.
For breeding dragons, refer to the step-by-step guide on the front page for who to breed how and when.
And that's it for now!
...how's that, guys? Any changes/additions?
Absolutely perfect except don't "Sell", (made it bold in your summary) never sell!!!! Release!!! Releasing is the only way to get the Etherium! I'm sure that's what u meant but someone else who gets confused easily like me would make the mistake of selling 😲.
Thank you for your summary 😊👍
With the demise of game centre I just started in FB to be able to friend people from this forum and join in on the fun. Please message me if you want to send a friend request so I know to watch for you😊, I never check FB otherwise. I'm deleting random requests way too many of those 😮.

I would add to that, in the early days, don't EVER release a Rift Dragon (including Hybrids with Traits), keep them all, stick them in a habitat, level them up a bit, and you will quickly earn more Etherium from them, than you would by releasing. Get them to level 10 and you will get your 100 Etherium in <5 collects, depending on the size of the habitat.
I'm keeping ever Rift-hybrid, even duplicates, and will continue to do so until my Rift Park is clear, every habitat bought and fully upgraded, and I'm earning 8000 Etherium/collect.
At *that* point, I'll replace, release, sell stuff I don't want.
