Yesterday one of my four breeds was Swamp with Metal trait. You can use Swamp on the "other side" to breed Plasma. If I put Lightning with my Swamp do I have a shot at Plasma with Metal trait on the rift side?
For clarification - The guide on page one says try to get Rust/Quicksilver for Plasma, but I am guessing that Swamp would work as well.
Yes, that will work perfectly for the Metal Plasma.
There are lots of valid pathways to get the dragons. I suggested the Rust/Quicksilver route because it only requires the basic elemental Rift dragons and the elements the Rift has been aligned to while you've been breeding doesn't matter. Simple, not necessarily quickest.
I'd encourage everyone to not just stick to the instructions but to experiment, see what you can make. And post them here! I like seeing the different combos that people have been making.

A arrgghh WHICH cap on the TWO towers of the rift gate? Bent one on left or straight up one on right?!? ( see that's MY level of what...what...what)😂 At this point I'm sticking w hysterical laughter at my thick brain behaviour,
I don't care what anyone says. It FEELS like rocket science!
Only ever got Kampos
But rocket science in a good way... I really like the "complicated" multi-step breeding program (many thanks, Arkynos, for the step by step instructions), and even kind of like the enforced slowness of only a few affordable breeds a day, and having to choose between more or upgrading habs or clearing fog... and switching between my regular old park and the new mysterious place, it does feel like a separate dimension. Starting slowly like this I feel like I am savoring the game again, instead of the gobbling habit I had fallen into in the plain old park...

Only the bent one actually covers light ether that can be removed, as far as I know.
Also see my post with the light ether removed the tower revealed.
ETA: The "Gate" is the unmovable portion. The Rift breeding cave has a tower on it -- but can be moved so is not a good thing to judge locations off of.

I took the opportunity of my Rift being aligned to Air today to breed Fire Rift with Snowsquall (The only cold trait dragon I had). I got Ice with an Air Trait! So now I'll breed Fire Rift with Ice (Air) in hopes of getting Blue Fire (air)! (didn't happen today. Will decide by the end of the day whether to try once more at 1000E)
Apologies if mentioned before, but today managed to win 600 E in my daughter's account at the racetrack.
That's very interesting. I haven't even seen etherium in any chests, so that's probably a rare prize.
This might have already been mentioned as well but I just got 50E in a chest for my Kairos quest.
With the demise of game centre I just started in FB to be able to friend people from this forum and join in on the fun. Please message me if you want to send a friend request so I know to watch for you😊, I never check FB otherwise. I'm deleting random requests way too many of those 😮.
Please repost your pic or a link to it so I don't have to hunt. There's a lot to comb thru.
The Rift alignment, while necessary for specific breeds, is not a transferable quality. We need to breed for as many variations of each dragon as possible, then only one needs to transmutate to the desired trait for breeding purposes. (eeeee, I hope that's clear, "consternation face")
As as you can see on this page of the Breeding Hints, Antumbra doesn't require a specific Rift alignment. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that first symbol means "any Rift dragon with an Earth trait".
Actually, Antumbra is the only that does require a specific Rift Alignment. When they mean Any Rift Dragon with a specific trait they put it in a Yellow Circle like the Ghast underneath. The Rift symbol with a particular trait means the Rift alignment needs that.
(I got my Kampos with a Water Rift Dragon. The Rift Alignment was NOT set to water)
piggybacking on this post, to say that today my rift alignment was earth. I bred a sand (with plant trait) and a dark rift to get a Cave dragon with an earth trait (from the alignment). Then I bred that Cave with my light rift and bam! Antumbra! I feel so lucky, since I haven't gotten plumewing nor kampos yet. Then, I tried breeding the antumbra with a light rift and got a dark dragon (NOT a dark rift dragon) and retried with the earth Cave to get my antumbra pedestal.

it will work perfectly if the breeding is done in the Rift Cave, not in a regular park breeding island/cave. We cannot pass along traits outside of the rift.

Not really rare, but new. Think they patched that in with today's reset. Game took a much longer time to load and afterwards I saw E for the first time as prices for racing.

I'd read "on the Rift side" the first time as implying that, but on second look it is slightly ambiguous. You are of course correct and make a very important point; you can't spread the Rift element or traits in the original park. As they say, what happens in the Rift, stays in the Rift.
On another tack, has anyone seen Noel laPlante in the past few days? I haven't done an intensive search, but I usually saw him by the time I caught all my flag bearers.

I think the E referred to in this post is perhaps the Essence which powers up Kairos to knock several hours off the breeding/hatching times every few days, NOT the etherium which we are needing in the rift.
I levelled up two rift traited dragons this morning by rolling a 7. Is that because they were only Level 6?
Cecilia at the Duckpond
yes, the required number you have to roll depends on the dragon's current level. You have to get +1 of their level or better
That's wonderful! It means I have a fair chance if levelling up my young traity drgaons which won't currently fit onto the rift.
I still have a problem understanding the breeding. Each day the rift alignment changes, so should I begin by using this rift drgaon as one of my breeding pair?

Got a Plumewing today with my Blazing fire trait and Earth rift - finally! Haven't uncovered any buildings yet. Happy to see the etherium in the racetrack and as options for quests. Got a nice gem stash - may use those to get more E!
