I have a love-hate relationship with Mystery Eggs, and it skews, hard, to the hate side. Usually I get winners like twin Poison or (yet another) twin Double Rainbow. Ugh. But, because of Double E Week, I decided to throw caution to the wind and buy a couple. The results were great!! My 2 Epic Mystery Eggs = Leaf & Twinkle, neither of which I had.🎉 The only Seasonals I am missing now are Seed and Winter, and I just need Lace to complete my Ornamentals.
I'm going to allow myself one more Mystery Egg and then push on with my clearing plan. Update on that: I'm 5C and 5T. Got the Hibernation Cave open (just in time, too- bred a rifty Cave Dragon today. Eeew. He's now in the HC) and need to uncover 4 more cloud sections to get to the Tower. The slightly altered plan is to do 2 habitat upgrades per day and one cloud clearing. Maybe once I get the TT uncovered there will be enough E to get another Mystery Egg or two!

Arkynos surely has a PhD in DV science I just wonder how do DV players not visiting this forum or others related to DV (but who probably do not have such gurus) can hope to figure out what to do in the Rift! I have visited some long time player s park who are probably not reading forums, and their rift is quite empty. Many will give up I assume.. Frankly, for me this is no longer the game I used to play. I am not thrilled by the prospekt of breeding complicated variations of a specific dragon to be then mixed with another as complicate to get and then trying to get that specific rift dragon; that is, if the moon is in the right quarter, the temperature at a certain level, and the air humidity less then 50% lol. But apparently, some find it fun to struggle with such complicated challenges.
Hi all! You've helped me out so much and I'm beyond grateful ^^
I have a quick question - I think it's been answered before but I'm not too sure - is it that traits are kept even when we release and not hatch? Much thanks!

Left. Go north west where the lava dragon habitat is. See the three light purple clouds to the left of the lava dragon. Clear the middle one. The one directly behind the voltaic and earth dragon

The hugest thank you to Arkynos and BFS for putting so much time into sorting out the in and outs of this complicated breeding fiasco! As someone else said earlier, how on earth to people outside this wonderful community manage to work it out.
Big hugs to you both.
Must remember to hit 'hatch' and not 'release' tomorrow morning when I breed a new trait adorned dragon. Could have wept a bucketful of tears this morning to see my quake dragon disappear into the etherium.
Hoorah! Just found that bleep bleep hibernation cave! My sense of direction is terrible, especially when what I am looking at is skewed. 😬😳🙄 so much E used. 😱😂
Really annoyed at the size of the Regal Rift Habitats. I can get more habitats, but to get the Regal I have to clear 2-3 Ether clouds to fit them in. At that rate the new habitats are still cheaper (even if I have to clear 1 cloud).

Yes! 🐨🐨🐨🐨🐨
dp ⭐️🌟✨ and skeeter622, all that clearing won't be wasted, think of it as pre-clearing!! Note that many folks find themselves slowed down by having to clear several clouds before they can upgrade habitats. 🐨🐨🐨🐨🐨🐨🐨🐨🐨🐨

You are quite correct, lol. I have 3 refined habitats and 14 revitalized habitats....just went in to collect E and was going to buy another habitat, but realized the cost, 2,500 E, is what it would cost to upgrade one of the revitalized habitats. Now that I have all that space, I will be upgrading.
I have not been paying attention to the cost of upgrading....can someone tell me if the cost of upgrading them stays constant? If I upgrade each of the revitalized habitats to refined, will they each cost 2,500 E, or does that escalate like everything else. It seems like each of the habitats I bought cost 500 to upgrade the first time, then each cost 1,000 I think. Sorry...brain still foggy from a stupid sinus infection. 😂😂

When the rift was about 4 days old I used a wish on a regal habitat to get the eth production going. That idea work well but now that regal is a pain space-wise.
I like my 3-dragon habitats. They fit in very nicely. Sometimes I can level up once more and it still fits in the same spot without clearing.
BFS granted me the stinking', unfair layout 4. Space is unreasonably costly, am I right?!

I think it stays consistent but I keep buying more habitats...... I upgrade little by little as I go along. I have so much space due to the reject #4 layout, I figured I may as well fill it w habitats lol

The upgrade costs are consistent, ie revitalized will always be 2,500 E. While I know it might seem better to upgrade your habitats now that the cost of a new habitat is 2,500 too, consider the following: To get 3 new spots open for dragons by upgrading: 2500 x 3 = 7,500 E. To get 3 new spots by buying a new habitat and doing 2 upgrades: 2500 + 500 + 1000 = 4,000 E.
It's still more efficient to buy a new habitat and upgrade it twice, vs 3 upgrades, to get the next 3 dragons out. When the new habitats cost 6,000 E, then it's the same cost to upgrade existing ones vs buying a new one.
Quil- I’m confused. I keep buying new habitats for 500 and upgrade them. I don’t understand the comparison you are making.
* oh no I just looked and the price per habitat is now 700 magic E! It has been 500 thus far.... maybe once you get to X amount of habitats the price increases?

Does the cost of a new habitat reach a cap? Because so far each time I buy a new habitat, the cost has gone up. If I buy a habitat now, the cost of next one may go up....or is my foggy brain still clouding the issue, lol. 😂😂
