Been trying for Dracabra no luck so far. Need to get Oni and Gargoyle also (unsure if will have enough by end of event for these and 2 halloween habitats)

The way to tell if a dragon can be bred with traits is to look it up in the Dragonarium. If it has a Rift symbol on the upper edge of the 'portrait,' it can be bred with Rift traits.

I can confirm that Nesting is breedable without owning one first, at least in the rift. After reading above I decided to try some combos in my baby park, which did not have a Nesting. I used flower and glacier in the Rift, and got Nesting on the third try. While I did not pay attention to traits when selecting those two, the flower had plant trait and glacier had earth. Alignment was also earth.
Finally got myself a Rift Lycan! Would have prefered a Dark Rift Lycan, but it was in a shiny Metal Rift, which is also cool. And that shiny hairdo, so amazing. Steel Dragon must be jealous.
At this point, the RNG wizards are like, "Fine! Fine! Here! We'll have over the Rift Lycan! Happy now?"
Now my whine shall continue for a Rift Nosferatu and a Rift Bog.

Well, this event isn't as much of a success as I hoped it would be. I missed out on several days because of real life stuff, and by the time I got back to playing it said I needed to spend 222 gems to catch up on the daily event gifts. Yeah, I think I'll save my gems and pass on that offer.
Also, I want to apologize to my gem buddies for not sending gems as often as I normally do. See, I have internet at home, but it's not always reliable because I live so far out of town. I usually walk to the visitor center during events because their internet is better, but I sprained my ankle so I'll be laid up for a couple weeks while I recover.
The good news is that I have enough event currency for either Spirit or Dracabra and some new decorations. I don't have enough for both so I have to choose one. And I have been taking screenshots like I said I would, so once I get done going through what's become my DV photo gallery, I'll pick some out and post them.
I can relate to trekking to find wifi for my DV addiction! Hope your ankle gets better soon.

I, too, can relate! I just got back from a three week road trip through the American southwest, and wi fi coverage is spotty. Spent a lot of road time searching for coverage. Wishing you a speedy recovery!

Does the game require you to pay the total 222 Gems for all of what you missed or can you pick and choose which days you want to retrieve the daily gift and spend a lot less? If so, you may want to check out the HALL OF HOLLOWS post and only spend for the free dragon or the days there were 500 Candies. Plus, who knows what tomorrow may bring as the daily gift. Don’t forget that the decorations will be available at BEB, except for maybe the bone path. Hope your ankle is better soon.
It does allow me to pick and choose, so I went ahead and got the 500 candies. Choosing only one or two days instead of all of them at once is much cheaper, and I still have around 900 gems so all is well.
I went ahead and got Spirit and the bone path, and I really think that Spirit is incredible. 💜👻💜 I love that dragon so much. Its my favorite out of all the new Halloween dragons this year.

Whoa Nesting first try in the Rift! Love those insta breeds, too! Also finally got a traited Decay after lots of non-Rifty fails. Still no Nosferatu... someone on Reddit said that the Eerie theme should now be considered a night theme, but can anyone confirm breeding Nosferatu with it set to Eerie? I may need to change the theme again...

Trying to decide between Oni and Spirit. Been mulling it over all day and still can't decide. Of course, I'd love to have both, but will be a little short on candy.
I'm thinking maybe Spirit would be a little easier to clone in the coop since it has one less type than Oni?? But, more of my friends seem to have Oni. Arg!
Just spent 10 minutes at a friend's Park watching all the new guys frolic. She has several of each, and has all the different ages shown. But, instead of helping, I think seeing the dragons "live" just made my decision even more difficult.

Rift set to Lightening Lichen (Lightening) + Cactus (Lightening) = Lycan (Lightening)
No I didn't deliberately do any any of these setting. 😊Today my rift was set to Lightening and both the dragons I had bred before the event.
Maybe trait overkill works....... or just coincidental 🤷🏻♀️
Thank you. I will try it. I finally got a Bog yesterday...with no trait. 😒 I tried not to waste too much Etherium in hopes of using the rift to possibly breed the limited that might show up today.

After many many fails for bog I got a Coral (Fire trait) as a fail. I fed the Coral up to 10 added a Plant rift dragon and first try was a Bog (plant trait). Yay now to try for pedestals quickly for the Spooky's I don't have one for.
Still no Nesting or ONI but otherwise a fun event for me.

Nope, this time it's only 2 days - 2k total, if I recall correctly.
I got very lucky today, managed to breed a Nesting in the rift this morning. Then got 24 hours in the co-op cave with it, sped it up and got a second. Next try, another 24 hours. Checked it tonight, and got a 3rd - so 2 dragons + egg. Now I need to get a few more spooky eggs in the days left, and I'll consider this one of the best events in recent memory in terms of staying busy and getting things done.

Ooo! For some reason I thought after the last event they were going to end all collection of banked points. If we can collect 2000 from Gifts, I think I will be able to get both Oni and Spirit. Sweet!

I don't think the Lycan has a night time breeding requirement like the Nosferatu. My park was set to the Spectral theme (the current one for the event), when I managed to (finally) breed a Lycan in the rift right after the reset (so mid-morning for me). That being said, the Spectral setting might be a nighttime theme because my Lycan dragons are all puffy.

A quick question...... I haven't been collecting twins before. They weren't that different so I haven't been worried about it. But now that we've got the rift and are only getting rift options in gifts if you have the twin I'm having to rethink this. My question is how are you handling the space issues in your park? Do you only keep the twins or is your storage tower huge? ;-) Since I'm now going to be focusing on twins I'm not sure how I want to do it so thought I'd ask for suggestions.
