So for anyone keeping count, with the additional eggs on my alt account I did 9 total breeds and got a rosebud dragon. I still wouldn't try it on my main, as it's completely luck based and I know I'd have no luck!
Also, Backflip Mike responded to my second email about not being able to buy Rosebud:

The last line in the description concerns me. Do you all think it is just an oversight? The hourglass in the Dragonarium is green, so ??
Edit: Ack. Just thought of something: Could it maybe be available in the Rift but not in the Park? I've been trying in both, and also in the Coop a few times (using my Panlong or Bloom with those of friends)

Nononono😱😱😱😱 jes suggesting some music in the Jazz funeral New Orleans spirit! actually my Dad was a jazz head ( and raised us with wonderful music) and we used Satchmo's New Orleans funeral march ( and a jazz theme) for Dad's funeral. It was amazing. I wish I had been to New Orleans when I could financially and environmentally afford to travel all the way from NZ: had to make do with Treme!

Gemstone dragons like Ovalith can't usually be used as parents in breeding, but they can be bred fine using their combo when they are available (green hourglassed). It can't be cloned though, for obvious reasons. All of the gemstones have that line in their description.
also, R.I.P. everyone who already spent their eggs on the breeding cave, assuming they wouldn't have enough to buy Rosebud anyway

I wonder...when I've sent emails to Backflip, I've only gotten answers from three different names: Mike, Craig, and Brandy. With the lions share being from Mike. I wonder how many people email them per day and how many people work in the email Support group...or is are these pseudonyms and there are really more people working there but they just use those three names...

Has anyone been able to breed a Rosebud with a friend who has it in one-op? I know I saw someone that did with plateau + rosebud that had success. Just popping in here cold, haven't read all the posts yet.

Bred my first in the co-op with my plateau + a friend's rosebud (took 3 tries). Hatched the rosebud, put it with my friend's (rosebud+rosebud) and got a second and a pedestal in my next 2 tries, so it's absolutely possible! Fingers crossed and koalas to everyone trying...hope their luck is as good as mine was!

Yeah Mike but not enough to buy the Ped. The next Limited is gonna be the same way but there won’t be any APPOLOGY EGGS...obscene...forcing us to buy Eggs just to even get the Dragons.
Aha Thumbing my nose at the powers that be! I just tossed my plateau in with a very flirty rosebud in co-op and got my very cheap 1st Rosebud. It took several tries, but not going to have to spend eggs on this one. Sorry if my large fonts made someone have to throw device on floor to read. Just experimenting. I should have Rosebud up in co-op some around noon. Koalas everyone. Don't give up yet! ~~~ waving to GPK~~~
Ouch. Yesterday was a super-busy day for me. I maxed out in 4 of my 5 games at 1,000 eggs but I got busy and didn’t have time to hit the max in my main game. I was at something like 832 eggs in that game. It didn’t get the 1,250 gift eggs. And I’d spent 250 eggs on a failed breed. It’s my main game, of course, and it won’t have enough to get Rosebud unless I spend real money. Sigh. And of course, in coop my Rose and a friend’s Rosebud got 60 hours. This is not my event...
I decided to gamble last night on the breeding in the event cave. Threw my elder earth and lv20 rose in, and imagine my surprise when out came a rosebud! Now, I haven’t been able to duplicate the feat, but I also haven’t gotten anything other than DC or gems from the golden egg yet, so I guess it all balances out.
Today is a lucky day for me! Thought I’d give a try on a baby park to get rosebud, with rose and earth, and I got it on first try. I decided then to try it on my main park, and I got rosebud on first try too!!! 🎉🐉🍀🍀
