Remember when they released prior Galaxy dragons and only brand new accounts created after their release date would receive them? The rest of us had to clone them from friends. This event is an improvement over that system, you now have the choice to prioritize the dragon or the habitats. You can even pick them up on alt parks and clone from there. They'll spread quickly among players with large friend lists.
I do think this shines a glaring spotlight on Backflip's lack of in game friending outside of Facebook.
You'll also pick one of the dragons up during the next daily login, within the next 100 days, if you have all of the others.
I’ve already seen the new dragons on my friends list. My first three attempts. Electrum, platinum and rainbow. Ha. They also are showing up in mystery eggs
Just cloned a Starlight, using Earth + someone's 18 Starlight. Took 4 tries, spent about 40 gems hurrying the fails.
None of my friends have a Glimmerwing up, but I'll put my Starlight up now.
My game is crashing every time I try to breed a dragon. Is anyone else having this issue? Everything was fine until just a little while ago. I was able to do basic park chores & hatched a couple of dragons, but can't rebreed. Shut my iPad down, restarted it, no change. It's going to be hard to reach the daily limit if the only way to get stars is making the game crash. 😢

Midnight has the same problem as the Rifted Opposites used to have: the combo is locked to the Primary Dark dragon, and Dark Rift doesn't count. They'd need to change the combo to make it actually Rift breedable.

Good news is these galaxies seem to be permanent. Although probably at singularity difficulty. Sigh. The only things we HAVE to get with stardust are two habs and the fifth island. Normally there is a timer so I’m waiting to this double weekend to buy, so hopefully the fifth hab isn’t a one day thing.
So basically we have to choose between using our event cash on Habitats/Island or dragons or pony up real $ to aquire the new stuff. Over the years I have supported BFS with my time and my money and I am finding this rather insulting. Unless we have a couple of triple weekends instead of doubles or they say, “Ooops!” and gift us Star Dust, this is not doable. Are they hoping a few of us buy the new Galaxy dragons outright and then share? Are they going to make it easy or difficult to breed? I wonder if this is Hasbro’s doing because their latest game isn’t selling as they expected? Hasbro’s idea of a fun game Talk about stepping in it.
Ditto re events; I have always bought a NZ$7+ pack, but this event, that's so little dust it's pointless... Be interesting to see if they read these and no doubt FB comments and think 🙄🤔 might just have to adjust a little here actually all our own fault for celebrating in this community how easy the last one was in terms of getting prizes... Sigh

Try storing some of your moving decorations, see list in Encyclopaedia thread OP may help if it's overloaded RAM

Thanks, Kiwichris. I went back to the game intending to start reducing the animation load as the Encyclopedia thread suggests, but all is back to relative normal. I may have panicked for nothing, but may try to reduce the load anyway.
What even is the point of the "buildings" on the event island anyhow? And no collective earning of RNG eggs this time either. (Also I'm jealous, none of my neighbors have the new dragons up yet. <-< )

I started playing another game a while ago, Hidden City, a game where you basically try to find listed objects in cluttered scenes. It’s fun except in order to be anywhere close to successful, the player MUST pay Real $ for clues & tools. I also play WGT Golf, which is a great game, although their customer support s__ks. It is hard to be competitive in WGT Golf without spending Real $ on better clubs and expensive golf balls. It’s pretty obvious that BFS, since it’s accquisttion by Hasbro, has changed their philosophy to conform to the rest of the gaming industry: get Real $ from the players at every opportunity.
This latest event? In my opinion, awful. No calendar, no games. Extremely difficult to get the 2 new Dragons, let alone other stuff, without paying Real $. In the past, before the Rift, I probably spent between $100.00 & $200.00 every year (I wish I had kept track of what I spent) on DV but somehow, I didn’t feel like I was being ‘forced’ to spend it. Now, it couldn’t be any clearer: they want more & more.

Best set your Weather Station to ‘NONE.” My experience is that the shooting stars cause the most problems.
After reset today I decided to try for my missing Singularity Twin Pedestal. First breed, 24 hours... of course. Just decided to speed things up... big mistake. Second breed, 48 hours. This is going to be a long two weeks. On better news I went over to the Rift thinking, well I won’t have any luck here either and instead I nabbed a Bouquet on a 2500E breed. Used lvl 16 Flower w/Plant trait and lvl 20 Rift Water with Rift at Dark. First actual dragon I bred that I was trying for in a while and I got it on the first day I tried. Wonders!
I was only half awake when I checked my park this morning, and didn't notice the habitats weren't providing event beans...Did all my Rift breeding already (all sold/released), and have pretty long timers on the other caves, but only need 10 more beans, so I guess it turned out alright. Still, I really don't like this change. They basically made the event a non-event, taking away any of the features that actually made it fun...all we have is another marketplace to buy other prizes from, and not enough currency to get the newly available ones, even if we had everything already released before this point. And considering that, how must the new players feel? What a daunting and ungenerous event, from that perspective...I feel that the enjoyment factor of this game is continually decreasing as time goes by and they introduce more of these changes.
This event stinks for people with no friends. I have to buy the 5th Galaxy Island because I am suffocating in dragons. Which means I can only afford one of the new dragons by the looks of it. My extra park has to buy the other one since that park is my only coop friend. So no new habitats or probably even pedestals for me. The worst thing is that I can`t even start trying to clone either of the new dragons until the event is almost over, as soon as I can afford them. With the lovely new breeding odds it looks like I will be stuck cloning these dragons for the rest of the year, really looking forward to that.
To add salt to my wounds, Dragonvale currency is ridiculously expensive. Someone here said you pay 50$ for 6750 stardust in USA. Which, in my opinion, is daylight robbery. Well I did the math and I have to pay 72$ for the same amount in Denmark. Probably because the salaries are higher here. Well since I don`t have that luxury salary, this is way above my price range. So I won`t be buying anything from Dragonvale and especially when they are trying to force me to do so. I will rather be buying Playstation 4 games on sale, that is a lot cheaper. I can get something between 2 and 6 whole games there for the price of half a dragon in Dragonvale (Depending on which games you want, maybe only 1 game if it`s brand new). OK sorry, a WHOLE dragon when there is a sale, whooooa... Ridiculous...

POTM for comprehensive justified perfectly timed Rant-whine!
see you in the Lounge Dreki, if you can worm your way out from under the suffocating pile of draggies 😆 🐨🐨🐨
So we need to breed the new dragons in the co-op. Anyone have any idea what the elements are or what might be the best choice to breed one? Or does it really make any difference at all or should we just pick a random dragon to breed with one of the new galaxy dragons? Any suggestions?

After the daily disappointment (and expense) of failing to breed Misfortune for the past few weeks, this event only adds insult to injury. It could be a game-changer, as in "I'm going to change to a different game," unless I somehow manage to feel more rewarded by the end of the event. I don't mind a long slog for an eventual certainty (the new legendary T'something), but grinding anxiety for an impossible limited? It's teaching me to let it go. Let it all go. Do something else.
Am I the only one who thinks these events are getting worse and worse? Also, which genius decided that selling a dragon directly from egg should reward LESS stardust than hatching then selling???
