I noticed yesterday that some of the banner bearers were giving more tickets than others, and today I was able to confirm what's going on. Regular banner bearers give you 10 each, but there's also a second set of fire and air which give 50 each. It does seem to be the standard fire and air figures, not the special red-and-white ones they've used for the house games in the past. Anyway, presumably that will rotate as we pass into the other elemental phases of the event.
There certainly seems to be no lack of ways to earn tickets this time around...

In the Challenges, has anyone figured out what the perfect element is for the icon that looks like a sun but apparently a Sun dragon isn't the right dragon?
Ok the maths is not good: I've maxed out at 2500 tickets: first dragon expires in 5 days; 5000 +2500 leaves me 500 short to buy dragon, UNLESS there are more doubles before expiry... Now I'm going to recheck my leaky math... leaves me 530 short... so unless there is another doubles day, I have to buy tickets to get the first new dragon before it expires....
I maxed out today at 3388. Something isn’t right because I maxed out yesterday with doubles so should have at least 3500 right now.

That's a good thought but I tried a rifted sun, cold trait, and only received 50 tickets.
The trick is to also use the elements that the dragons contribute when breeding. Sun, Fire, Air is Solar Eclipse (Sun/Moon; contributing Fire, Air, Earth). Sun, Fire, Light is Sunstruck (Sun; contributing Fire, Light, Dark). Are there others that use the Sun element? I'll post answers if anyone finds one, but check your Sun dragon breeding hints for the clues.
It's pretty unusual to see the epic element symbols. I'd quite like it if quests used them. It would at least make it easier to distinguish between all the quests for the (pick 3 or 4) Fire/Cold/Earth/Plant rares and the epics that share those elements.

I know Misfortune's quest was asking for Treasure as one of the elements (at least initially, it might have been corrected).

Yeah nah, the symbol we're talking about I've not seen anywhere before, kinda stylised sun w a dot in the middle from memory ( gah I have all this tech and NEVER remember to use it; shoulda taken a screenshot) oh, I'll check the wiki in case s/one else has answered

I was able to clone fireflight in the co-op using a friend's level 20 fireflight and my level 20 inferno. I have it up in the coop if anyone wants to use it. Send me a friend request if we are not already friends on FB. Koala to all.
Kiwichris , Bred a Midday but it t’wasn’t a twin. Thanks for sharing! Will try again later but for right now want to try for the newest since it seems to be breedable.
It is absolutely that symbol but I still have no idea what dragons I should use. I had that symbol as well as fire and lightening and no idea what would work. I can tell you this, what I chose did not. With any luck I won't get it again. And the reality is there are other ways to get the necessary tickets to reach the daily limit so no big deal. I just like to undertsand stuff.
Doubles today! Crisis averted - we can afford Fireflight without having to spend cash if we didn't buy much of anything else.
Won't we still need 30 more tickets?
...fudge. I thought for sure we only needed one more doubles day, but I guess we need two. Sorry for the false alarm...
