Hi everyone! Just wanted to get your opinion on best course of action. Long story short, I accidentally missed the deadline to use tickets during the Boulderbright segment, so now I’ve got all these tickets stocked up from then and spark in the dark! I’m trying to make sure I spend the tickets wisely...
I saw on the prize page that it says there are “4 unique prizes” still to come in the grand finale. I just picked dragonvale back up in February, so I don’t have any of the dragons available now in spark in the dark (nor have I had any luck with breeding them *sigh*). When do you think these four grand finale prizes will become available and what do you think they are? I don’t want to go nuts with these spark in the dark dragons and then miss out on a fabulous grand finale dragon.
Orrr I also noticed there’s still two days for spark in the dark. Do you think there will be a time frame when the grand finale prizes and the spark in the dark dragons are available at the same time so I could pick from either?
If it helps, 3 of the grand finale prizes are the gargantuan island, relic of the epics, and monument of the epics. There is also a single new prize that has not been seen yet. They will be available for a single day (maybe two?) starting at the reset on Thursday July 5th. The cost of all of these is unknown. I'm hoping the new item is very cheap, as most of us getting the new dragons will be out of tickets.
You were right! I ended up just buying all the spark dragons and had enough left over for one mystery egg...ended up being a bronze dragon. Lol oh well. I wonder how many people actually purchased any of the available dragons in the finale, I can’t imagine many people went into the finale with a bunch of leftover tickets.
I tried to get the exact number possible variants you can have. It's kind of complicated and I'm not sure I counted right. Anyone care to check my maths? 🤓
5 x1 legendaries/mythics 112 x2 other dragons without Rift traits (I counted this a bunch of times but kept getting different numbers...) 30 x1 Rift Specials +4 Rift Special Twins 441-5-112-30=294 x4 dragons with traits and twins.
Added = 1439 potential variants, or 6731 if you include normal/twins of all 10 traits (and untraited) for the 294. It's a lot either way.
Some people are a fair way into getting them all, and the Rift is once again not big enough to hold one of everything at a cap of 275/324(ish?). I'm by no means complete, but my dragons have just started spilling out into the main park again, and I'm curious how everyone else is doing for room.

What are the 4 rift special twins? I assume this contains spore. And, I have a twin metal rift, which i think is another anomaly. What are the other 2??

The 4 are Spore, Light Rift, Dark Rift and one other primary elemental Rift like your Metal Rift. Light and Dark Rift twins were available from pre-rift, when they were both Light/Dark specials. The Roar of the Rift event let you choose a Rift Dragon at the end and had twins available if you already had bought those dragons in the event. You got a twin Metal Rift, I got a twin Air Rift, but you could only get one of these.
Phew, glad I got 112 right. I counted 112, then 111, then 113, then 112 again. Knew it was around there but still wasn't certain which. I think the 84 will be given traits at BeB if not in collection comebacks before then, though we'll need another mystery egg or something for both the Snowflakes and the Chrysalides.

I was only able to get one epic mystery egg in the finale section as well, but I’m really glad I got it because it turned out to be the twin rift Djinni I needed! I was very happy with this event overall, though one more day for the finale section would have been nice, especially since we could only get the rift versions of dartwing and fireflight on that day - which was bizarre.

How did you get twin Spore? Is it currently twinable via Coop?

There was a period just after the Rift activated (and then again over a weekend or something) that you could breed with a Spore dragon in co-op.
If you bred a Thorn with the Spore you could get a Spore, Metal, Plant, Malachite, Thorn, or Ironwood. Obviously with the chance at twins for any of those.
If you got a Spore you could also hatch it instantly, and if you fed it (in the regular park or without logging out while it transferred the the rift), it only took regular amounts of food to level (instead of the insane amounts Rift dragons take).
I still have about 15x lvl 15 Spores in my rift hibernation cave awaiting the next expansion of the place.
