My complementary Crystalline/Gemstone dragon was a Rifted Wavelyte. Already had one. Of course I couldn’t have received a Rifted Barite, Bismuth, Jasper, Mesolite, Okenite, Pyrite, Sanguinite, Tourmaline or one of the ten Rifted Gemstone dragons I am missing as my Rift is cursed. I remember the good old days when we were gifted a dragon we were missing.   Somewhere along the line the code was changed from ‘a dragon they don’t have’ to ‘a dragon they have bred a dozen times.’

I'm logging on 3-5 times a day so I can collect from the rift and be able to breed through the 5,000 E level. Not every breed gives 10 or 20 magic, but sometimes the breeds surprise me and I shake a little magic from a late breed. Are you remembering to collect from the airship's Fortuitous Forecastle every day? Those are the only things I can think of that you didn't mention but if i think of anything else, I'll post again.

Colour me confused, again, with all the efforts at demystifying the chrysalis roundabout 😳 🙃 But thanks all, for trying 😊🎉☺️
So I drew the diagram posted by the great @pedrosancheeze (WHY O WHY won't this highlight for me? I've looked REALLY HARD and i thinks it's spelled right 😩) and ticked what dragons I had from buying mystery eggs, then referred to the brill sandbox to find out what parents I needed for remaining absent draggies...
Some of us just need pen and paper, it's a generational thing 😆😆😆

Now that I see how many Facepalms resulted from my response to peanutzmom:), I'm sorry I didn't post a reminder earlier to hatch THEN sell. I didn't realize it added up that much because I'm getting low amounts per hatching but it's something. Here's what I'm getting on a regular day:

1 magic - Rift-only (Air rift, Snowsquall, etc.)
3 magic - Regular hybrid (Evergreen, Quicksilver, Mountain, etc.)
5 magic - Rare hybrid (Frostflower, Coldforge, etc.)
10 magic - Epic (Rainbow, Surface dragons like Totem, etc.)

So part of my strategy has been maximizing hatching in the regular park. If I have two eggs ready to hatch on a regular day and need a spot, I'll hatch the Evergreen before the Frostflower, in hopes that I can hold off until the next doubles day and get 10 for the Frostflower as opposed to 6 for the Evergreen. I even hatch and then sell a dang Snowsquall for one measly magic rather than sell it straightaway. Koala to all in maximizing magic for the remainder of the event!

Do the chrysalis mystery eggs guarantee a rift chrysalis? I want to be sure before I start throwing away what little magic I have managed... (I also want to upgrade some omnitats for magic, that's a bit pricey too)

Well, I've bought 5 and got 4 different Rchrysalids (but not yet the Chrys dragon itself 😩) with 2 Rmarbletails,  from which 4 I *should* be able to breed the missing ones...🐨

Actually, I don't think it did matter this time about hatching first - I tested that in the first day or so and got just what Dragonin lists above whether I hatched or not. (Though I would add that some of the shorter epics seem to give 8 rather than 10.) And when you think about it, they can hardly give us much less than 1 for selling immediately, right? 🤣

So I don't think people need to be facepalming themselves into a headache if they didn't hatch first. The videos were a big deal, though - if you weren't watching Tolzar's daily videos, that was costing 150-300 per day. 😲 (And thank you to whoever pointed it out originally, because I don't typically watch the ones available under the CBC.)

I am sure going to be busy during BEB. Still no Eve or Sprite, although I did manage an Oracle & whatever the other limited was, so the koalas didn’t completely desert me.

Yeah, Tolzar’s videos killed me. They only work oneout of four or five times and completely crash my game when they don’t work, so it all depends on how much time and patience I have on any particular day to have my game crash multiple times and get nothing for it. Unfortunately,I missed a lot of Magic that way. I contacted Backflip on three different occasions (all prior to this event) and was told they were “working on it.”

I am hoping for you that Totem will be your randomly gifted dragon at the end of the event... or maybe your friends will keep it in the cbc.

My problem is, grrr... I don't know how many rifted sun and moon and I don't know what else dragons I have bred in the rift and sold because they aren't needed on the bingo card, only to need one for the next card and discover I don't have one to breed with in the rift, just a bunch of traits from all the dragons I thoughtlessly sold off...

Thanks, cyn, I hadn’t noticed that, so now don’t need to stress so much. Eve & Sprite will arrive in my park eventually.
And thanks for the well-wishes, nagini. I’ll just keep trying in the co cp cave& see what happens. It might take a year or two, but even the hardest to breed show up eventually.

Worthless RNG chrysalis eggs... Dumped my remaining event currency into nothing but (still need Oracle, but I'll fish in the cave or BIABs since there's not much I can do about that other than gamble)... and got nothing but a couple Lacewings and a million Marbletails. That's not even a bootstrap-able pairing! /sadface

Well I bought 11 of them. Only 4 were unique! But all I need is a Lacewing or a marbletail so i can get a complete set. It’s rigged!

Worthless Chrysalis is right! So far six (6!) and nary a Lacewing, Marbletail, Duskwing, or Swallowtail in sight.
