So, I just got Chromacorn as a daily log-in gift, but I really would've preferred to have been able to breed it, as I've been trying for it the whole event (and in the past). Very disheartening to feel that in a breeding game, one can't achieve targets unless gifted by the game system or spending money. Haven't even seen any chests in the dragon drop or the wheel for days (though they're both rigged to hike up the difficulty compared to in the past anyway, and like I said during a past event, the ball in dragon drop bounces madly about like a wasp on heroin), and I've been refusing to spend gems. Seems like the game is boycotting me back! Monsieur de Whitby, by the powers vested in me, I dub thee Señor Stingy for withholding the bounty I KNOW thou doth possess and freely giveth to others thou loatheth less than mine own self.
As soon as I saw the effigy, my thoughts were, "well that's not very creative or attractive" and "oh no...this is the Rift part 2, isn't it?! Endless new forms to have to hunt after when we've already been trying to be optimistic about the Rift being a 'long-term thing' and having to come to terms with needing time to collect everything." The odds are lowered, we're constantly bombarded with new dragons and events, and they're already introducing more? Again, seems like an obvious ploy for financial gain, as when there are so many targets to reach even for old time players, the obvious and 'easy' solution and conclusion most will reach will be to just 'spend a little' to keep striving toward the ever more unattainable completion. I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd prefer fewer targets and instead have the satisfaction of near or total completion, in terms of personal goals apart from periods of measured growth and regular maintenance.
On a side note, what good is 1000 or 8000 or whatever food the pumpkins give after maxxing out going to do for anyone above level 10 or something?! My dragons done been eatin' their victuals by the millions, mateys.

I was going to evolve a fire rift but the “evolve” button only shows with a regular fire dragon after buying the effigy. Is that true for others? Also, finally got a chest from Whitbee in one game and it was a piece I needed in that game. The idea of a whole new Magical realm, a ghostly one.... hmmm. Not feeling excited about it yet.

The ghostly fire doesn't have traits. Thus no rift version.

Just wondering if there will be any other use for these decorations once we evolve the dragons we need other than as decorations. I suppose it makes sense to hold on to them for awhile and see how it goes. They just clash with my decor. More tchotchkes I don't need!

Hm...your observation makes me wonder if They in the Hasbro Laboratory of Evil have been experimenting on more than just our abducted koalas to extract the magic inherent in the beasties? Studying small flying creatures on substances most heinous, all in order to design wild flight patterns for the dragon drop, perhaps? We might be onto something here.
A few things: -BFS switched the methods for earning pieces, so now Day is the Dreaded Wheel and Night is Dragon Drop (of course right when I only need Day pieces). It’s cool that it can be an Elder too. For all those who are having trouble evolving it, make sure you place the decoration somewhere in your park, you won’t be able to evolve if it’s still in your social menu. -I lucked out and got like 7 pieces yesterday, so now I have both Porcelain and Wrath, and I’m one pieces (daytime) away from Corrupticorn. I really hope I’m lucky or that they switch the mini games back lol. -The new Ghostly Fire looks really cool - I got one in my secondary park but not my main one. I imagine we will be getting at least all 10 elements ghosty too. -Has anyone tried and been successful in breeding it using a dragon other than a ghostly fire in the CBC? I know there’s reports of getting it in the Rift, but I think that glitch may be patched now because I didn’t get one breeding up to 5 or 10 k E3M.
-Overall, this event is probably the first (hopefully the last but I doubt that) that BFS has removed banking event currency altogether. •The Arena where your and a friend’s dragons earn candy doesn’t allow you to send that friend candy. •Gifting treats/gems doesn’t give candy to your friends. •We don’t get the balance candy when we play the mini games when we are close to our daily max. I think this, and the 5 gems for the pieces, are what’s contributing to the negative view of this event. I like the idea of evolving dragons, but the style and event layout is really cruddy, probably one of the least generous events we’ve had. Maybe BFS was too kind in the beginning, but it set up an expectation that is now not what they want.

I have a new limited dragon - Chitin - dark and metal. My goals say "This dragon can only be obtained from the Bizarre Bazaar during the Candied Conjuring or by breeding." I do not have a breeding hint for the this dragon.
I also cannot evolve a fire dragon even though the effigy of the flame is on an island. I choose evolve but the Confirm button is not highlighted. Will send backflip an email
I’m hoping it’s a chitin, got a 26h timer in the co-op of promethium x chitin. No luck in the rift.
Just to say whether it was rapidly patched or not yesterday, ghostly fire bred in the rift was a rare occurrence from fire rift x chromacorn. I bred up to 5K and only got the ghostly fire once. I now have 3 ghostly fires, 1 egg pedestal and no effigy.

Chitin can be bred with metal and dark. Just bred one in rift with this combo.

Something interesting I've just had happen 4 times in a row breeding ghostly fire dragon in coop. When my nursery is full, I click to hatch the new dragon, and I get the message my nursery is full. I clear one spot in the nursery and go back to hatch my dragon and it is the ghostly fire dragon. Leaving the nursery full I breed the 2 ghostly dragons in the coop and it's another ghostly fire dragon. 4 times in a row. Previously I had bred 6 regular fire dragons - but I had kept clearing out the nursery. Would be interesting to see if others get this same result. (hope what I did makes sense)

I have blown through so many gems, it’s ridiculous. All I’m missing is the blue tendril to get Wrath. I have my Corrupticorn and Porcelain already. Bred Chimneypuff easily, and bought the Ghostly Fire outright. Breeding now for Chitin.
Should I waste candies on buying a chest from the market and hope for the best?
I’m not a fan of this event.
