Had to burn a wish to get a second proto-Corrupticorn (or at the very least I got fed up trying to clone my then-only), but woop Corrupticorn! Still need a purple fan-thingy but I'll waste more currency on that tomorrow. :-)
Also, why do I only ever get the insane bank shots when there's no chest there?

I have the ghostly fire dragon and have been breeding it with a friend's ghostly earth in the CBC to try for a g.lava or g.obsidian. All I've bred are regular lava dragons, numerous times. This is possible isn't it?
I have an update on my experiment using no gems or event currency for decorations. I am up to 23/30 decorations! It has been a true test of patience. 👻
I wish we could have golden chests on Name that Dragon 😜 because these games are difficult to land on the chest or at least have 2-3 chests appear on the same game to up the odds of landing on it.
P.S. I am inserting a whine - still no Nightbloom Rift. 😫

I got a summoning chest of night as my last gift in the hall of hallows. The pink flame is my final piece, i have all the others. Unfortunately that's a day piece. I wish I could give my chest to someone who needs night pieces. Oh well, at least it's 150 more candies.
What have been your most difficult decorations to acquire?
Mine are/were:
Pink Flame Purple Porcelain (still need it) Green and Red Tendrils (still need them)
Pink Flame and it seems like they are running low on flames in general cause it's rare that i see one of any color. I'm still waiting for a pink flame, and I am still trying for a second chromacorn in the rift. I have been trying since the beginning. I didn't have a chromacorn dragon at all, so I did get one with the rainbow/d rainbow combo, but that was early on and I have been trying for another to evolve using chromacorn and mirage for almost the entire event. I have pretty much wasted all rift opportunities and stubbornly stuck with trying for my 2nd chromacorn. That might not have been the best way to go, but I'm dug in now. I guess this is an official whine.
I was hoping for a double candy day being that it's Halloween and all.
I don't recall if they were there before, but there are now more Ghostly dragons. The Ghostly Decay, Ghostly Bone, Ghostly Spectre, Ghostly Ghost, Ghostly Oni, Ghostly Nosferatu, and Ghostly Spirit dragons have been added to the Bizarre Bazaar! At least they didn't add another effigy...
Ghostly Nosferatu = Ghostly Mountain+Ghostly Fire (according to the breeding hint).
This is officially the worst event in my book. I have bought 31 chests and used well over 1000 gems and I don't have all the Tendrils and Flames. I have all the ornaments, so I got the Porcelain. But that is it.
I think Rare Limited Ghostly versions of Limiteds that require Rare Limited Ghostly versions of Hybrids that require Limited Ghostly versions of Basics that require Limited Event Decorations to evolve from basics using Event Currency is the most ridiculous thing I've seen in this game and I think only the sunk cost fallacy is stopping me from saying, welp, DV has jumped the shark, time to stop playing. I liked the Rift. I hate this in every way.
The spooky habitat has just appeared too and they’ve increased the limit to 5 (to store all the new ghostly spookies I guess). I’m not impressed with this event either. I don’t like the look of the ghostly dragons so I’m not going to bother with them, although the eggs look cool. I’ve been trying for a second chromocorn all event with no luck. Managed to get a porcelain and wrath but still missing the orange and blue flames and a second chromo to evolve. Happy Halloween everyone 👻

Got a needed Red Tendril in the Free Night Chest but still need a Green one.
Spent 85 Gems on Dragon Drop to get the final (Purple) Porcelain. I’m now down to 987 Gems (started this Event with 2400).
Evolved my lone Chromacorn. I figured that if time runs out on the Corrupticorn, it might be a long time before we get another chance at it whereas we still have chances at breeding a Chromacorn. (I got that Chromacorn with a Mystery Egg).
Still need a Green Tendril and unless they change Dragon Drop back to Night I’ll never get it, the Wheel is a waste of Gems. Only way now to get that Green Tendril is to spend Candy on Chests but at 855 a pop my remaining 2900 Candy will be gone in a hurry and even if I do get that remaining Tendril, I won’t have enough Candy left to do the Evolve.
I started this Event Burnin’. I’ve got each of the Breedable Dragons (not Ghostly), all 3 of the Basic Element Ghostlys and 2:3 Ornamentals but now, with this deluge of new Ghostlys I’m in the hole 13 Dragons. In the past, it was all I could do just to keep pace with the new Dragons. Now, it will take months to catch up and I’m not even sure that will be possible without spending real $.
This Event has depleted everyone’s Gems. But it will soon cost us D$ and even more Gems...with all these new Ghostlies and other new Dragons which are bound to appear, where are we gonna put them? We’re gonna hafta buy more Islands and Habitats.
Recent Events have been bad but this one has gone way over the top. Complaining to BFS one-at-a-time really doesn’t show them how many of us dislike the way things are going with DV. What we need is a petition listing our grievances.

Off hand, I’d say they haven’t just “jumped the shark”....this is a great white (with the greedy jaws to match).

Agreed that this is the worst event in DV history.
Didn’t think it was possible to beat the evil Burcadian cave and the bingo cards from hell but yup backflip has done it. Very bad word you backflip. Either the new game director goes or I never spend another dime. Pissed off.

It would have been fine if the purchase cost of the each ghost dragon was in the 500 to 1k range. Then you could actually buy the ones you failed to breed in time. The cost for these things are off by a factor of 10. Given that many of the fails are in the half a day range, there's not much time to attempt any of these, let alone get them. Sadly, I expect their thinking is that we should be buying gems to speed up the attempts since our gem stashes are at 0 from the chests.
It would also help if they removed the non ghost fails, so that ghost fire and earth would never get you a normal lava dragon.
This may have been asked/answered earlier, but I can't find.
Will we be able to elolve the first three after the event is over if we have all the pieces collected? I've got all the pieces but have yet to get my second Chromocorn.

I don't know anything, but I have wondered from the start if the three sets of decos might be used in future events to evolve other dragons, and so they might again be available for event currency or as prizes somehow for those of us who don't have complete sets. The fact that you have to actually select a dragon to evolve to (even though now there is only one option, there is space for more options to come in the box) further strengthens that suspicion. I have mixed feelings about whether this is something I hope happens or not.
Okay, the fact that the ghostly eggs float over the nest is adorable.
The ghostly eggs are my favorite things in this event. I don't collect pedestals, I just keep the ones I think are pretty (and recently, the ones I think might show up as unique prizes to unlock event prize tiers), but I would rather have a set of ghostly eggs than ghostly dragons.
