Has anyone purchased a Toy Chest? I'm sorely lacking in ornaments from the last event, and need to evolve many Gift and Coal dragons. I don't know whether to keep trying or just give up...

Lattelover, No toy chests appearing in my park, so I guess they’re only there if you don’t have all the ornaments? My strategy fwiw, back in the event, was to move to buying chests, for the guaranteed original/missing content, once I had begun getting multiple duplicates through the game; so, for the last 2 or so pieces of each ornament collection. If you’re at that point, maybe buy one chest and see if you get a missing piece? I seem to recall that some folk found they were getting dupes in the purchased chests... not totally sure of that memory tho. For me, I got a new piece every time, but I also bought with time gaps, in case there was some kind of rotation like rift theme rotation... Hope this helps🙂 🐨🐨🐨🐨🐨🐨

I don't have all the ornaments, and I haven't seen any presents in my park at all. So if we don't have missing ornamentals, are we stuck buying those chests to get the pieces needed? That seems really unfair; as much as I love DV, paying hundreds of $$ just to get missing dragons is a blatant, greedy cashgrab. Or is there something I'm missing?

The Toy Chest offer is in the Decoration section of the Market. 175 gems for a Toy Chest and Sparkling(?) Spruce, or 500 gems for three Toy Chests and a Spruce. Silly me- I thought there would be multiple Toys in a chest, but there is only one in each. I did receive Toys I don't have, but am nowhere near having enough of anything to evolve dragons.
I didn't have a lot of time at Christmas to spend on Dragonvale, so collected very few Toys. I think I'll just have to be patient and wait for next Christmas season.
I must say, this new collection procedure is very complicated, and I'm not a fan.

Be careful when you buy from the market you may not get what you bought. Back Flip wanted my park ID and a copy of where I paid off Amazon gift card. Sent in and the person came back with they couldn't open the receipt so nothing was done. Same thing happened tonight. This a way for BF to make money and you get nothing. Also tired of the dumb wizard showing up to tell you you have reached your limit on the roses------like we can't figure that out. Can't wait till this Rose game is done. Have had a lot of problems with and BF can't or won't answer questions. May have to get rid of and go find a game that doesn't take money from you and give you nothing.
For buying/breeding planning remember that those of us playing since daily rewards began and have logged in daily have a rare dragon coming in less than 3 weeks. 😉

It would be cheaper to just buy the decos you need when they are available from the market for 50 gems. This new deal is NOT a good deal!
Examples for 10 decos to get 1 dragon: Toy chest offer 3x500 + 1x175 + 100 to evolve = 1775 gems Single deco in market 10x50 + 100 to evolve = 600 gems

so all remaining 5 element colors will be unspelled by the 5 houses. This is a clever move. each house has one of its elements colored yet and one has still to be freed. This will show in which house are the most active players. didn't someone here on the forum want such a contest ? it will be much more interesting than working for each element one after the other. I only hope that the needed amount is a bit less than before, otherwise it may be difficult to get all needed roses until the end of the event. Go Iron Blossom, GO !!!
