Shiver and the other ones from the event can only be cloned in coop correct?

I don't think it's your fault... I do think BFS explanation of their logic for the confusing original markings is weak, plus the "if you misunderstood our intention, too bad" attitude is very ungenerous, plus the whole lack of transparency when they realized people were misunderstanding but they made no effort to actually let us know we had the wrong idea.

Yes, it is "just a game" but an important aspect of the game is escape into a rewarding, predictable, more controllable fantasy environment as a relaxing break from the uncontrollable, unpredictable stress of real life. Sharing this world with the kind, generous, and good-natured people on this forum is also an important aspect, and that spirit used to be shared by the game creators/controllers, but their attitude seems to have changed a lot. My 2 cents...
But I want to repeat, Arkynos, I don't think the misunderstanding is your fault at all.

(Edited to add: I wrote this before I read the rest of the thread, so I am repeating a lot of what has been said by others... but it does feel right to add my agreement)

If you own a Shiver or other dragon that you would like another one of, you can clone them in any of the breeding spots using it as a parent. 

The only exception to parent cloning is the dragons that needed to be evolved (Trepak, Aubergine, Corrupticorn etc) You need to breed two of them together to be able to get another one as a result.

I wanted the Seasonal theme and thought I would have to wait until next BEB.
Now, I bought it
To be fair I have to say that I got a message at login,saying there'd be a deal in the market.
But most times it's just a deal to get gems or event currrency for real money, in which I'm not interested - so I didn't check.

Well, Kiwichtis & Amos, thanks again for 💙Ing your Daffadowndilly. I spent a bunch of Gems Speed Breeding but ‘no joy’...😟

Funny thing...the breeding odds on all the recent Dragons seem to be very prohibitive (0.4, 1.6 etc) but the odds for a Daffadowndilly using a Daffadowndilly and a Tidal in the COOP were 6.6, the best you could get. So, using that combo, what do you think I got? That’s right, Watchs, Roots, Fireflys, and others, all with Breeding odds less than 1.0! Oh yes, I did get a Tidal whose odds were 6.6. Smells fishy doesn’t it?

So, I have seven Eggs of Mystery saved up from this event. 🥚🥚🥚🥚🥚🥚🥚
I also didn't get the Brilliant and Fever dragons. 🐉🐲
The description of the eggs says they exclude the newest dragons. Does anyone have any experience as to how long I'd have to wait before I'd have a chance to get the dragons I missed from the eggs? Is it the end of the event, or perhaps when some other new dragon is released so that they are no longer the "newest"?

I think that it is dertermined what's in the egg at the moment when you get it. So it's of no help saving it up.

But if this is true then you should look at it like this : if you miss only 2 dragons and get a mystery egg and don't open it and then get another mystery egg, the second egg might contain the same dragon because the unhatched dragon in the first egg isn't registrated.
Therefor I wouldn't leave the eggs unhatched over a longer time.

I find it’s often a trade off between odds and numbers of offspring; the Daffy x Tidal gives sooo many possible offspring I didn’t use it... I’m still plugging away on Daffy, so mine will be 💙 for a while for cloning 🐨🐨🐨

I'm not aware of any guarantee that you'll get a dragon that you don't have yet.  I don't think that I have gotten one that I already have, but I most often get a twin or a rift version that I don't have.

I am 98% sure that the odds show when using Tidal in the Sandbox are a bug in the combo finder. For many dragons they're showing higher chances than Like + Like cloning, which should pretty much always be the top result.

I'm going to tag drow here actually, to try and draw his attention to this. Hi drow, if you're reading this!

Yes, I agree. I’ve also noticed this when using the Parent Finder option in the sandbox. It’s definitely a glitch that results with Tidal being in the top breeding pair for various dragons including, but not limited to: Epoch, Elysium, Hidden Bolt, Kaiju, etc. If the target dragon selected in Parent Finder is a limited rare or limited epic and shares at least two elements with Tidal (for example, Daffadowndilly), Tidal will appear in the top breeding pair, despite adding unnecessary elements (Tidal adds Dark and Lightening to Daffadowndilly’s outcomes, which triples the number of offspring). However, the Tidal glitch doesn’t occur in the breeding results for permanent rare and epic dragons, like Wisp or Gold Olympus. And it also doesn’t appear in the results for limited epics that have all the elements, e.g. Aurora, Muse, etc.

grandpakenny, if Tidal is erroneously in the top breeding combo, it’ll have an unusually high breeding percentage (in the sandbox, the difference between the best breeding pair and the second best shouldn’t be more than .1%). When this occurs, I always look at the number of outcomes and ignore the breeding percentage.

Regardless of glitches, I still find the sandbox is the best breeding tool out there, just use it with a little caution, like everything else in life.
