Remember everyone, both parties need to add each other to become friends on the game. It won't be enough just to put your Friend ID in this thread; you'll need to add people in-game as well.
BFS might introduce in-game friend requests down the line, but for now we'll just have to make sure we contact the people we want to be friends with.
This is one of the reasons we recommend joining the forum (not just a shameless plug, I assure you), so that you can be contactable (through notifications and private messages) when someone has added you.

Hi everyone! I’m new to the forum but have been a bit of a lurker - everyone seemed so nice and helpful, I thought I’d finally join! I’m a longtime player - going since the start! But, I have very few friends since the switch to Facebook and my GC friends bailed.
Would love to make some friends for co-op breeding, and I also have five treat spots to fill to swap treats so please let me know if you’d like to!

I believe I've added most everyone, it's hard to keep up. I'm in a similar situations as many others, where most or all of my gems and treats are being sent to players I've been trading with for years. Don't feel that adding friends is only important for gem trading though, I now have significantly more choices for co-op breeding and my event quests are much easier with so many more element choices. I've added at least 40 new people this week, which roughly doubles what was on my list. Certainly the best thing they've added to this game in years, but they have a lot to atone for with the evolution / decoration system recently!

Is it just my fakebook paranoia, or has fb begun a pushback against this new ingame friending? It seems my fb-only friends (haven’t cross checked that) have slipped from the list, and there is a banner ‘missing friends, login’ (with fb) athe top of the page. I was being blasé about putting everyone onto the ingame mechanism, but maybe I need to do that....
update; yep, I had ‘lost amaranthia and indigo, for eg, and when I ingame fr they returned.... working on the rest 😥
