Yeah, trying to optimise breeding timers to maximise new breeds during doubles would be very annoying. This way is better.
It took me about 700 gems of speedups to get Rhinotorch, so evidently I'm the other side of the distribution to a lot of you here. I guess it's Egg swings and Dragon roundabouts, as literally nobody has ever said before. Thanks to one of my friends for the twin though, and sorry for not catching your name!
I got Rhino on the third try. Ditto after 600+ gems. And then I've spent a couple hundred trying to get Busby and I'm burning out. Will save gems for a while now.
I'm hoping this might be of help to others. I wanted to get the most out of the Burcadian Breeding Cave, so I needed a way to track the dragons I've found in the cave and the ones I still need to collect for the 100 bonus. I created a Google doc with every dragon in the game that can be bred or cloned. I sorted it by incubation time (the new 80 percent off time for the cave), so that I can focus on the shorter incubations first. It also lists if the dragons are available to breed today, the combo, and if not it will state 'Clone' if that's the only way to get it. There's a completed checkbox on the right for when you find one, and if you want you can create a simple filter to filter out completed rows.
To maximise the chance of 100 magic eggs with the Burcadian Breeding Cave, I am just going through Primary + Primary making hybrids then move on once I have 2 of the possible outcomes.

Neat idea, thanks. Sadly I don’t have google account, so can’t use it; woncderd if I might be able to print it off somehow and fill in by hand? Urgh, 58 pages... Hmm, managed to copy and paste to Notes but it’s too many pages for it to handle and it crashes however Evernote seems to be handling it so far thanks@quil, I was just randomly breeding different elements 🤪

I'm showing 12 pages if I click the print button. There's 469 breedable dragons, at 58 pages that's only 8 dragons a page! I also copy and pasted it to notepad with no issues, it's not that big. I wonder if something isn't showing right with the link...
It's free to make a Google account, and has a lot of other benefits. Or you can download it as a .csv file and load it in Excel or another other similar application.
Just an observation. It doesn’t seem to make sense that there are Galactic dragons listed in the uncollected eggs in the Burcadian cave. Since you can only breed Galactic dragons in the Coop cave, I don’t see how you could get one in the Burcadian cave. Am I missing something?

I believe that was me, Arkynos. Thank you for having your Rhinotorch up! It’s always nice to get the twin reward for your friends. I’ll put up my new Rhinotorch right away and then move on to the next one! Though I do need to be careful not to blow through too many gems. Patience is a virtue!

Game Crashing...
I have an iPad Air w/only 20GB of 128GB used (lots of available memory) yet, in spite of ‘cold starting’ every morning before playing DV, it crashes before I can even finish collecting D$. Now, I used to start at the left end of my park and work my way to the right, collecting D$ and Event Eggs however, when the game crashes 2/3 of the way across my park, restarting the games reorganizes all of the remaining Eggs, causing me (and you too) to have to start all over again to find those remaining Eggs. Frustrating? You’re darn tootin’! In order to not have the game crash reorganize the remaining Eggs, I have come up with a way to find all the Eggs in only two trips through my park:
1. On the first trip through your park, collect all of the D$ (Using Ts’aishen speeds this up). Collect Eggs but only if you spot them. Don’t go through each Habitat collecting D$ AND Eggs. This will likely cause an eventual Crash BEFORE you get all the Habitats ‘searched’ and then you’ll have to start from the beginning searching for Eggs. 2. When all of D$ is collected (it might have Crashed while collecting but it doesn’t matter), shut down DV and ALL OTHER apps running. 3. Do a full ‘Power Off’ of your device. 4. Wait 1 minute and then power your device back up. This should reorganize your available memory to its optimum. 5. Restart DV. DO not restart any other apps. 6. Go through each Habitat searching for Eggs only. Don’t do any other game functions until you have completely searched all your Habitats for Eggs.
I’ve used this method the last 2 days and it hasn’t Crashed. Give it a try, it can’t be any worse than it already is. 🤞

First time post in this forum, been following for quite some time though. Attracted to this site for its aloha spirit and some koala animal head things that I only just figured out was a koala post.

There was an iOS update last night. I’ve had crashes when I miss an update

Last Update I saw (and made) was 3 days ago...it still Crashes on initial (and subsequent large) D$ collections. The goal of my method is not to eliminate crashes, it is to not have it crash while looking for Eggs, causing you to have to re-examine Habitats you already searched.
PS. While searching for Eggs, I should have mentioned that you can also tap Flaggers and other VIP visitors.
I have noticed in my game that it always also crashs if i have done things in the park and then go to the rift, a few taps and bang. Similarly, if i workin the rift and then go to park, it does not take long and the game crashes. Now, firet thing i do aftr reset is to go in black and white mode with visitors, all eementd and epic marked and it stays like this until i have collected everthing, usually in two or three rounds with crashes in between. But with this setting, getting all the eggs and visitors etc is relatively easy.

Burcadian Breeding: I think we can all agree that effective Burcadian Breeding results when we get the 100 Egg bonus in the shortest amount of (Breeding) time. My plan is:
Using the Filter and starting with the Plant Element, work your way through each other Element, one breed at-a-time until all the other basic elements are Bred with Your Plant Dragon. eg. Plant&Fire, Plant&Earth, Plant&Cold etc. Then move over to Fire Element and proceed in the same manner BUT do not use Fire&Plant as this might produce the same Dragon as your previous Plant&Fire combination and then you won’t get the 100 Egg Bonus.
Im into Metal now and, so far I have achieved the 100Egg bonus in around 2 hours or less. It won’t let you breed combinations such as Fire&Cold (incompatibility) but there I used a Fire&ColdForge.
Hope this works for you.

Yes, me too. Park to Rift and back just hasta use a lot of memory. BFS or/and Apple don’t know how to manage memory...my guess is it’s BFS.

It always takes me at least two attempts to get round the park to collect everything. I've found that what works for me on my first visit of the day is collect & repeat breedings, collect and restart treat farms, Colosseum, Mythic Dragons, Quests (I don't reset at this stage) the Rift. Then I start to collect from habitats, collecting eggs & flag bearers as I see them but not actively hunting them. The game invariably crashes half way around and I have to restart. I can then usually collect from the rest of the habitats and reset the quests. I wait with hunting flag bearers and eggs until a 'quieter' time in the day when not everything needs to be done.

Kiwichris You can highlight and copy the cells to Excel. Works a treat.
Thanks Quil for the spreadsheet - I've been struggling with which are the best dragons to be breeding.
