Just an observation. It doesn’t seem to make sense that there are Galactic dragons listed in the uncollected eggs in the Burcadian cave. Since you can only breed Galactic dragons in the Coop cave, I don’t see how you could get one in the Burcadian cave. Am I missing something?
No, you're not missing anything. They cannot be selected to breed in the Burcadian cave. I'm unsure why they are showing, I think they are showing all current available dragons and they forgot to take out the Galaxy dragons.
No luck with elder fire. Has anyone used anything else to breed the newbies?
I'm not having much luck with Elder Fire either. I've 'moved on' to Elder Earth. Perhaps all the Elder Fires have been over worked and a new approach is needed ......

Yes, me too. Park to Rift and back just hasta use a lot of memory. BFS or/and Apple don’t know how to manage memory...my guess is it’s BFS.
It always takes me at least two attempts to get round the park to collect everything. I've found that what works for me on my first visit of the day is collect & repeat breedings, collect and restart treat farms, Colosseum, Mythic Dragons, Quests (I don't reset at this stage) the Rift. Then I start to collect from habitats, collecting eggs & flag bearers as I see them but not actively hunting them. The game invariably crashes half way around and I have to restart. I can then usually collect from the rest of the habitats and reset the quests. I wait with hunting flag bearers and eggs until a 'quieter' time in the day when not everything needs to be done.
Right, you can’t do it all in one trip through your park like you used to be able to do...this Event, with all the Crashes, is turning into ‘My Life’s Work’...even though I’m retired, I have other things to do besides DV.

Exactly. They seem to think we have time to just sit around waiting for their game to load. Getting really tired of this, been like this for 9 days now. Are they even trying to fix it? Hardly have time for this game anymore.
I have noticed in my game that it always also crashs if i have done things in the park and then go to the rift, a few taps and bang. Similarly, if i workin the rift and then go to park, it does not take long and the game crashes. Now, firet thing i do aftr reset is to go in black and white mode with visitors, all eementd and epic marked and it stays like this until i have collected everthing, usually in two or three rounds with crashes in between. But with this setting, getting all the eggs and visitors etc is relatively easy.
Viv, I think you have hit on the MAIN CAUSE of the Crashes...going back and forth between Park and Rift. I tried it last night, after I read your post and sure enough, it Crashed. Excellent analysis! Well done.

ack, can’t find it, think it might have been from adlerist . Anyhoo, it’s the lack of in the moment brain power as it were, so when there is an event like this with lots of moving bits to track on top of all the usual moving decos etc etc...poor wee lectrik brain can’t cope and sulks. Layperson explanation 😈 so your various workarounds are perfect; possibly even slowing down the tapping, and waiting between realm changes, may help. I know that if I weed out and sell loads of doubles in my hib caves, without exiting the hib cave to allow the dc to be processed, then I crash, and that’s on an iPad Pro with lotsa RAM, so I sell a few, exit, wait for dc counter to stop, and go back to sell more

I cleaned up the data on the Google sheet, I realized I had gemstone and crystalline dragons listed that aren't available today, marked as 'clone'. I removed those extras and added the combos for the few available now.
Edit: I made one more update to it today. I've added a "Points" column, that shows you how many points a breed is worth (not counting the 100 bonus). This may help later in the event when you may have many repeats.
I don't see people talking about the ghostlies, but if you are just breeding element to element, you should use them if you have them. I got a ghostly flower and it had its own bonus 100, which was nice.

No 🐨 here w Elder Fire, so I think it was one of those early event luck thingies that seem to occur each event. If you’re late to the party, the first wave of successful tries is gone i KNOW the statisticians will disagree with this, but it’s been both my observation and lived experience over years now with this game last event I got all the dragons within the first few hours this event, as with every other event, I’ve been several hours late in even updating, and had no extra 🐨 with breeding, except super slowly through the whole event, often not getting all new draggys til way after event is over, or next BeB.
Re upgrading to Elder, I’d do one at a time as your food stores allow; they really help with some things, and not at all with others... There may be some wisdom out there re which one to level up first, I’m not sure

Until very recently, no one would have had the resources to purchase one of the new dragons without spending large amounts of money or hacking the game. In either case, a few of their friends cloned those dragons, and then their friends did the same and so on and so on. Gildamane was one of the later dragons to make the rounds, and it appears Rhino was one of the first to get mass cloned. That's why you're seeing more of one dragon than another, personal preferences of the early owners sharing their first dragons.
As for those saying they've changed the odds, that it's either hard now or still easy, it's still all luck based and nothing really changed. I believe there's about a 5 percent chance to clone the dragon, that's a 1/20 chance. I got mine in 3 tries on the first dragon, roughly a 14 percent chance of that happening and thus a 86 percent chance it won't happen. Lets now say you sped up 20 breeds, each breed averaging 10 gems to hurry (and 10 more to get it out of the nursery). You'd still have only a 65 percent chance of getting it cloned and have spent 400+ gems. That means 1/3 of you won't get it at this point. Most of you will get it with 800 gems, but still 15 percent of you won't. That's when I finally got my second.
Lots of players are doing this with at least one of the dragons, and you're seeing the results as they populate your friends list. If you're one of those who spent 1000+ gems and didn't get one, it's not changed odds, it's just bad luck and unfortunately some players hit this scenario. Even with 50 attempts, 1 in 14 of us won't have had any luck. I usually am in that category. I'm still not able to get the third and gave up after a few hundred more gems. I'll just try without hurries at this point. But a few people are really lucky, and they get 3, 4 or even 5 dragons with minimal hurries.

I am right there with you. Gildamane is stubborn. I have been trying now for three days. Spent 200 gems and no luck. The other ones were easier for me. I want my luck back.
I have been able to clone exactly zero of the event dragons despite spending over a thousand gems so far. It's quite disheartening. It makes me smile though to read how others are having a very different experience. Some have even acquired most of the event dragons. I would be happy with just one! That's probably not true. As soon as I got one, I'd be trying for another, forgetting all about my good fortune and lamenting my poor luck when I failed.
New Limited Dragon: Violetta, 18 hours, available for 7 days. Combo: Faux and Dittoglide (which is really really crappy, come on Backflip).
This is one of the worst moves they've done in recent memory, and that's saying something. First, unless you were extremely lucky and also have lots of friends, you're not going to own both Faux and Dittoglide. Most probably don't have either.
Second, this means that breeds in the rift are completely out. That's where most of us have been getting these dragons, as the breed percentages are so low that you're very unlikely to get them from normal caves. So at the end of this event, we'll have 10 new dragons that we can't earn in the rift until the next BeB event or getting lucky mystery eggs.
The vast majority of us will be spending 14,200 to get a normal, non rift version in 6 days. I wouldn't go out of your way to get these two dragons cloned if you don't own them already, with the low odds of breeding you're very unlikely to breed the new dragon in a week. Better off waiting and cloning it from a friend who may purchase it today.
I was lucky to get a Faux dragon. It's now blue-hearted if anybody is interested. still need all other new plus Starwinb and Glowwing.
Has anybody got a Gildamane? If's the one that I have not found pictures of for the dragon list.
