When collecting dc yesterday several of my habitats did not give me magic, even though they were giant and had the overflowing coin chest. II collected from 5 seasonal habitats and only got magic from 2 of them, collected from 9 rainbow ( 7 large and 2 giant) and collected magic from 3 of them. Didn’t we used to get magic from all large and giant habitats if the coin chest was overflowing? Ii don’t have Tolzar and had to do a lot of rift breeding to make the 1000. I’m emailing back and forth with Deca about tolzar.
I had the same. Some habitats gave magic while others did not. Another way to earn magic is if you have any eggs in your social menu, you can hatch or release them for extra magic. I tested selling and releasing rift eggs from my social menu yesterday and they both net you magic. 😊 The games show up twice a day, that could help out. 🐨
Ok, these new Golden Hybrids...how do you breed them if you don’t have one? Only in the COOP with a Friend’s? Is that what you call ‘Cloning’?
yes At the moment they are not breedable. You can only buy one with magic or clone it in the coop. Hopefully they will become permanent after the event. (Frond and Thrasher are still not breedable)

Hahaha, ok What makes me wonder is that they changed to be permanent during the day. At (shortly after) the last reset they definitely haven't been permanent. This somehow shows that Deca takes care about problems - also the change of the wrong egg designs of Whirlwind and the other new hybrid. I think this is promissing

There’s a daily limit of 1,000 Magic per day, so habitats won’t always produce Magic. This is to prevent players who have lots of habitats from reaching the cap after one collection of their park.
Deca didn’t override Tolzar for this event to allow us to receive 3 ads for Magic. As a result, I was concerned that players who were missing Tolzar would still not have the Oracle in their park at the start of this event.
Tolzar was returned to my park several days ago, but I will gladly email Deca again on behalf of you and others who are still missing the Oracle. Also, I noticed Quil asked the Deca rep on Discord about Tolzar yesterday. Hopefully with lots of players demanding a resolution, they will work on this issue soon. So sorry this is happening to you and others during this event.

I’m just going to focus on the fact that there are still new Dragons and the game is still going. I don’t know what the long term focus is, or if Deca is going to employ Artists to create more Dragons. These event Dragons might be the last new ones.
Based on Deca’s statement, it appears their intention and overall goal is to create new content and new events. They have hired at least one former BFS employee who worked on DV, so that’s very promising.
A Deca rep on Discord has stated that for now events will be in BFS’s format, and maybe they will create a new Deca-style event in the future. Too soon to tell. Starting a new type of event or one with different mechanics will be a lengthy process. It would take BFS six months to develop a new event, and they had many more employees working on DV and a deep understanding of the game. So I think for now, we can expect the familiar BFS event template with Deca’s dragons soon to be added. After all, the BFS backlog will eventually run dry.

It was definitely changed after reset. I check everyday for them before breeding in the rift because I am missing the rift versions. 😊
So I wouldn’t be so fast to say it is Deca being greedy. This event has got to be a parting “present” from Hasbro. There is absolutely no way Deca had any time to throw this together. I’m thinking the only thing they have actually done is gotten the game moved to their servers, which went off without a hitch from my point of view. This event is really bare bones, only the games tent. It seems to me BFS could’ve thrown this together on the way out the door. We didn’t have any update, and Quil did say there was stuff in the pipeline in December/January. I’m also thinking the Dragons are the missing Goldens and limited from the Halloween and Christmas events, remember all the extra currency we had from those?
Of course Deca might’ve been able to put parameters around the existing event and might be being greedy. I’m just saying that we should wait six months to a year before we start blaming them for the greed mongering.
I also could be wrong with everything I’m rambling about this morning.

I would agree that this is probably mostly a BFS event. I immediately noticed that the splash screen still said backflip studios. To me, that is a good indication that this was entirely, or mostly put together by BFS rather than Deca.
On another note, I kind of miss the daily gift, but I am overjoyed that there are no gifts or visitors to search for. Life is much simpler this way. I like a low pressure event. Life is about far more than DV.

I got an unrifted TLR in the rift while trying for a rifted Cuddlewing with Tree and Love. He's in my main park now, and blue-hearted. At level 20, they give 1063 DC a minute, so this is a very lucky dragon for our parks!
PRO TIP - The Triple Leap Year requires 4 elements but you can use three + a rift dragon for less fails. The rift element serves as a fourth element.
Example : Snow Rift + Pollen Rift is only cold, air and plant but adding in the rift you can get Triple Leap Year as a family game did from this combo and you have less fails. You can even use rift dragons in regular caves to use this method as well.

Same w/me AND Not all Rift habitats yielded Magic either. To get my 1,000 Magic I had to breed 10 extra times in the Rift.
I struggled to hit max in both parks yesterday. Partly because I'm not good at the Name the Dragon Game and useless at Dragon Drop! Bring back Name the Dragon Egg.
While not every habitat gives currency on every collect, it seems that habitats are giving magic right up until you hit max - unlike previous events where you could only receive half the amount of available daily currency, or on unlimited collect events it was capped at 500 for normal days.
I am only getting two Tolzar visits a day. If you have reached max before watching Tolzar's ads, you are only offered magic, which doesn't go anywhere. In previous events, Tolzar used to give a gem. I'm not such a fan of ads that I will watch the same ad over and over without being rewarded.
With the new owners there are bound to be teething problems - the incorrect pedestals for example and there will be changes. My hope is that they read some/all the forums out there and get an understanding of what players do and don't like before making wholesale changes that are universally unpopular. They won't be able to please everyone, but will hopefully get an idea of the game dynamics.

I wish that things would stay put after changing the settings in the Twilight Tower. We had this same problem in the last event. It's a minor problem so I need to just deal with it...while muttering under my breath

Not sure if it has been mentioned by anyone else, but I got a quest of "wicked sad" a couple of days ago, and I used a WICK. I did not remember to check the outcome to confirm, but I am pretty sure that is the one. (I have been getting 2 chests from all of the last few quests...) edit: the quest was actually wicked sick, not “sad”... sorry, senior moment 😅
