I’m down to just needing one wooden idol to have all the decos. I’ll wait to get that one from the “giftery” in another week or so.

I only have one Stoneshell and have been breeding for it constantly. I do see that we get a choice of egg/dragon on the last day in the “giftery” so maybe I can get another Stoneshell then to evolve.

I think you can buy the chests with having the decos still in your social menu, but when you unwrap them, you have to be sure that each individual deco has been placed in your park otherwise you could get this.
What I'm trying to say: the point of determination of whats in a bought chest (or chest from the giftery) is not when you buy it but when you open it.

I bought another two games this morning and got three decorations (1 duplicate) and a Twin Gildamane.  Not a bad result.

Buy a Chest and put it in Park right away...repeat that process till you have ‘em all.

Re My Progress on Decorations: Still have 25 unique Decorations.  Played Dragon Drop 20 more times, hit 8 times, got 6 Decorations, all Dups...and on one of the hits I got 3 Duplicate Decorations.  At this point, any more Gems used for Dragon Drop would be a waste.  I only need another E$1,000 to get the rest of the Decorations & the Evolution Fee.

Question: is any dragon able to be bred (not cloned) in the runic caves? Or does it have to be “available “?

You can only breed dragons that are currently "available" in any of the caves.

I needed 8 decorations, and decided to buy the chests. 

I would buy the chests. With 44K eggs, 13 chests costs 19,500 eggs which would leave you 24,500 eggs. You may need to do a little math, and I hope with 24500 eggs + more eggs will be enough for all the dragons your heart desire.

I had in fact totally misunderstood how this evolving stuff s working. Thought I have to have all related decoration and then have to buy the dragon, like Hedera in order to evolve Mono 3 and pay an added 1000 tokens. Wrong! I had all decorations and all the future to be evolved dragons so when we looked at Mono3 I decided to evolve it and discovered I just had to pay a 1000 tokens to get it. That simple! I did the same fir Mono4 and Glyph and Stonesheel, fir Minchi. Gonna buy the eggs cose which possible fails am ot going toplay roulette!

So the percentage is up, but it's still a low 5 percent. At that rate, half the people will get it after a dozen attempts. By 50 tries, only 7-8% of the players will still be trying. By 100 attempts, 1 out of a thousand will still be missing it.

So here I am, 9 days later, still trying to do a two parent social cave clone of my Clairvoyant, and still having no luck.  I've done some amount of speeding breeds up with gems, but it gets pricey very quickly with the long fails.  I appear to be in the lucky 7-8% so far.  Hopefully I'm not the 1 out of 1000!  Maybe I'm offering up the wrong kind of wine?  What do koalas like?  Perhaps a nice Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc?

Koalas like a robust 1945 Romanee-Conti, so I wouldn’t bother. It’s cheaper to just throw gems at them.

A lot cheaper to use gems. Last time I saw Romanee Conti on the wine card a few years ago, the bottle was priced 4000 euros...

I completed my first collection today, I got a long-awaited green rose in a "guess that egg" chest (not a free one, I've been spending about 20 gems a day on extra guesses).I've had nine roses for about a week But there's still no dragon I can evolve, I guess the roses will evolve the magenta colored monolith into a yet-to-be-released Pixie dragon, probably the flowery one on the splash screen...
