B.) buy another paradise island chancing that I can breed the egg after it goes away.
Paradise Habitat - Mylio isn't that difficult to breed (sometimes!). Happy to put one in co-op for you - it is always easier to breed if there are two the same and Mylio doesn't have a lot of elements so there won't be any horrendous fails.

Thanks for the offer of mylio, but I’m in the last call competition and working on combustion twins. I currently have a 60 hour breed going in there. I like the idea of more combustion anyway, it pays so well.

Buy the surface habitat and sell for the 7,500,000. You have enough Paradise habitats, it is more fun to breed for pedestals rather than buy and you will need some money for the next island to place some of those paradise habitats. 😁

It does count but then goes down when you sell. I bought 35 Paradise and then bought and sold Surface habitats. If you stow the Surface they still count towards limits. Also these take 3 hours to build, they are not instant.

I, along with a lot of you, was surprised when the Flower collecting ended. A friend referred me to the FAQ for this Event. It said:

The Memories of Paradise runs through August 27th, and concludes on August 28th at 11am Mountain Time. It will not be possible to earn additional Flowers after this time, but the Beachside Bungalow will remain open for two additional days so you can spend any leftover flowers you may have.<end text
As for this Event...one way or another, I got all of the Dragons & Eggs without having to make any ‘in app’ purchases, which is my most important goal. It was sort of a grind but I think overall, DECA gave us a good balance of rewards for our efforts. Because of that, I made a small purchase right before the end of the Event to show my gratitude. Thank you DECA. I think you are getting DV back on the track we all enjoyed BH (Before HASBRO).

Combustion is not an event dragon. Check the timer in social menu or the dragon market and there are 18 more days of it being available.
I agree this was an excellent event, although I have to disagree that it was a grind. I only managed to breed two of the event dragons and I had a plethora of flowers available at the end after I had gotten everything, resulting in buying 34 paradise habitats. I decided to go for blue fire so I was buying mystery eggs in the rift after being done with breeding through 5kE. I kept all my egg slots full in my hatchery that way. If I didn’t have something to put into the hatchery I bought a cold or Earth dragon to fill the slot (unless I was watching videos or collecting and it was a doubles day, and then I’d buy fire dragons to cook while I was watching videos.) If you sold rifty eggs that you got through mystery eggs you got flowers, but not if you hatched or displayed them. I also would save my last rifty breed to hatch if I knew the next day was a doubles day. I do have to admit to grinding through some plant dragons on doubles day when I was watching tv, but I don’t think they were a significant source of my flowers.
For inquiring minds that what to know, I bought another paradise habitat last night before bed (hence the 34 bought for a total of 36 owned.)

Ugh... I wish I could say the same. After breeding two sets of Party and Lagoon (only option for Humuhumu) for the last two weeks in both the EBC and EBS, and having one set trying the entire event in the EBC, with no Humuhumu to show for it seems a bit outrageous to me. Having the EBC dedicated to one dragon the whole time really limited the dragons I was able to get. I did get super lucky and got a Mylio twin (thank you again Adlerist) on the first try, but that was my only streak of “luck”.
Curious if others struggled with Humuhumu, or other dragons like I did...

RED Tried for Humuhumu in the rift most of the event and never got it. It is one tough bird. Other dragons were not that easy to come by as well in the vale...you are/ were not alone. Some events the dragons come along and then you have the events you really have to work at getting the dragons. You don’t always succeed after all your work😞🐉.

That is very true. I was successful during this event, but it isn't always like that. I can remember events where I spent the whole time breeding for various dragons and only managed to breed one, and that's only if I was very lucky.
Up until recently a lot of the events have been like that for me. Usually on average I'd breed one, maybe two if I had an overabundance of koalas. But these new dream dragons for this event were impossible to breed in my park. I couldn't breed any of them and had to buy the ones I wanted.

I don't understand this. Surely only surface dragons can go in the surface/paradise habitat? I've tried putting rainbow,light,water and combination dragons in my new habitats, but it won't let me. I think that if I want them full of dragons I'd better get breeding more surface dragons?

There are two different habitats. They are in different tiers in the rewards. Surface can Certainly only take Surfsce dragons. But the Paradise can take those other 4.

That would be great if they started letting us have more reward habitats. I'm currently maxed out on the number of Spooky habitats I'm allowed to have in my park, and yet I still have plenty of room for more on my Halloween/fall themed island.
Hopefully they'll let us have an unlimited amount of Spooky habitats when Whitbee's Candy Bash rolls around. I'd really like to bring out some of my dragons from hibernation and add some more habitats to my special spooky island. 🕷🍂🎃🕸👻
Perhaps, hopefully, this is a trend for DECA and not a mistake. Maybe they are letting up on the limits for reward habitats all around. I always thought that BFS was unnecessarily miserly with the number allowed for some of the reward habitats (I'm talking to you, Ornamental habitats!) and it forced me to use up my Omnitats to accommodate new event dragons. Fingers crossed!
The limit on the Paradise habitats was lifted at the beginning of the event because the Game Reps requested this. For future events, if there’s a limited habitat in the event market that you’d like to see the limit raised, let me know and I’ll ask Deca.
I can’t promise Deca will change a habitat limit again, so please don’t have any expectations. If they do, I suspect they will retain a cap. So instead of two habitats, you’ll be allowed six, or whatever amount they choose. Eliminating the Paradise habitat cap was likely an oversight, as they didn’t foresee the consequences of allowing an unlimited amount. On the plus side, it was not game-changing, so the error isn’t significant.

That said, the Paradise Habitat for 1000 is the best long term bang for your buck. As they don't count against your Habitat limit you can get a heap (putting extras in your Storage Tower).
