I have problems understanding the difference between Darcy and Wapatango pledge. If the Darcy pledge already means all persons after person x then what is meant by "repeated for each subsequent person" ? Is there a typo and the Darcy pledge only means the first person after person x? Or does it mean that when the next person after x breeds the dragon that all left competitors get another gem and after the next one breeds it, all then left comptitors get another gem...?
Example Competitors A,B,C,D,E,F A made a Wapatango pledge nominating B A breeds the dragon B breeds the dragon -> A must pay to C,D,E,F C breeds the dragon -> A must pay to D,E,F D breeds the dragon -> A must pay to E,F Comp ends A must pay to E,F for being winners
Is this right ?

Yes, that’s what the wapatango pledge was, which means I was paying out a lot of gems. I’m much more generous than the other fellow who shall remain nameless. . It also means that lisgie only owes 1 gem to each person in the competition after you get it because she chose the Darcy pledge not mine.

rulilind keeps pestering me to join the competitions. However, it just isn’t the same without GregDarcy to compete against. I mean, what’s the fun of using the wapatango pledge, if you can’t nominate your enemy? However, to please my mother, I will join... I better not win. After all, I think I am still in the running for the title of Worst Woebegone Winner... (I don’t think that chart has been updated recently, so maybe I am not in danger of winning that title any more.) I have a lot of titles already, and I don’t want to add that to the list.

If I am correct, Buffy usually nominated herself, so whoever got the dragon after she did got the gem.

I alway buy the limited the evening before it expires. The evening before instead of the morning of, just in case some unforeseen disaster occurs and I’m not able to visit my Vale. 😅
Will the losing winner be the Valer who doesn’t buy the dragon?

I feel like a runner that fell at the starting line. I had both my caves ready to breed (I put plant and fire breeding in there until reset to get some double pinecones while waiting.) Because I am convinced the breeding odds are higher in the first five minutes/people breeding (superstition I know). Reset happened and... no limited. Now I don’t know what to do with my caves for 24 hours. But you should see the pretty fall colors on my elbow from the fall.

I think that is correct. I would be open to pushing it back an hour to give players the time for last minute breeding and still having time to buy it if unsuccessful.

No, I don't think it is too harsh. It is a possibility to get the dragon without being unfair towards the other competitors.

No, I don't think it is too harsh. It is a possibility to get the dragon without being unfair towards the other competitors.
So, as an example, if there are 3 competitors who haven't breed the Frons by next Thursday, and then they all buy it on the last day, does the last person to breed it become the winner after the fact? Or do we not have any winners? What do you think?
Personally, it think that if someone buys it early in the competition, so they can have more time to try for a twin, they are out. However, I think anyone who buys it at the last minute, say the last 12 hours to allow for different time zone (don’t want someone to have to get up in the middle of the night to buy it) should still be a winner, because they failed to breed it. Just my thoughts.
