The long-awaited news is finally here! Deca has been working with Meta for the last nine months, and they just confirmed that the Facebook login issue has been fixed.

You may notice that few or none of your Facebook friends have been reinstated after you log in to Facebook. Calli, the FB Game Rep, said permissions are probably expired. After your FB friends log in and renew their permissions, hopefully, they will show. The FB players are keeping a close eye on the progress to be sure there are no bugs. If there are any, I’ll post them here.

There are now reports of players receiving a third gift from the hacker. The hacker has minimised the amounts to a more reasonable 100-200 gems, so the gift doesn’t look as 'hacked'. 😆 They’re trying to trick players into claiming the gifts.
More players have also had the hacked gifts removed by Deca.

There is currently an event bug that briefly started yesterday and returned today after the daily reset. If you have the bug, the following will be in your park:
• Event Island and Gemstone Island have merged • Missing tiers in the event market • Limited dragons in the event market are unavailable (unbreedable); no green hourglass in the Dragonarium • Cannot collect or earn EC • Mini-games and event market names have changed to Halloween titles • Candy Corn instead of Magic on the EC icon
IMPORTANT: If you are affected by this bug, you cannot breed any of limited dragons in the event market (Berry and Autumn are the only exceptions because they’re on the limited release calendar and were available before the event started).
Many thanks to JDBlood on Discord for checking the Dragonarium, reporting the unbreedable event dragons, and for the screenshot.
Deca is looking into this bug. It likely will not be fixed today. It’s after 8.30 PM for Deca. You can still play DV, but you won’t earn Magic. I know players are concerned about the loss of event currency, and some have mentioned compensation. I have brought it up with Deca.
If something changes, I will provide an update. So sorry it’s not better news, everybody.

I got stuck in an infinite loop, unable to load DV but eventually found a way to exit the loop. This may already be documented somewhere in previous posts but this may help someone. The bug happens when trying to load DV and you get a prompt to update DV. You then tap the prompt and you get an error that the App Store cannot be accessed. Now you are stuck and you can only force exit and try again. When I tried to access the App Store directly to update DV, I got a button that says “OPEN”. If you click that button then you will be stuck in the infinite loop again (since no update was performed). If you try the App Store again you will have the same problem and get the “OPEN” button again. Trying again doesn’t help unless you do the following: force exit BOTH the App Store and DV app. Now load the App Store and try to update DV again. This time the button will say “UPDATE” instead of “OPEN”. Now you can tap the UPDATE button and everything will work now because the update loaded properly and you can now load DV. The bug has not returned since.
EDIT: This worked on my IPad Air 4 but may not apply for Android devices or PC.
EDIT2: There are posts on Reddit about this and a more proper solution (it’s not considered a bug!). My solution may not work for everyone. I was desperate!

The reason why the 'infinite loop' occurs is because the update isn’t on your device yet. You'll need to force the update to show. On Friday, I posted instructions on how to do this on the General DV thread. It’s not posted under Bugs and Glitches because it’s not a bug.
Unfortunately, this is how Apple distributes their updates. It isn't an issue with the game or Deca. Since Apple has been delivering their updates in this manner for many years, there isn’t much chance they will stop. It’s best if players know how to force an update to display, not just for DV, but for all their apps.
On Friday, I posted this PSA on Reddit. Perhaps that’s the one you’re referring to. The information in that post was already on the Forum (see the first link). I always post info on the Forum first, then Reddit, so players don’t have to sign up to Reddit to receive the information. I hope that helps!

Funnily enough, in one of my alt parks today it finally let me watch an add to double my gems, and I got 50. So I think it is possible. The odd thing is, it never crashes when I watch an add to double my DC (been doing that lately to get ready for the expansion event.)

It works fine for me. Though I've only had the double gem option once, when I tried it I got 50 gems and all was well.

If the Daily Reward is 3-6 gems, the game crashes. No opportunity to watch an ad to double it, and the 3-6 gems are lost. The only gem reward that appears to work is the 25 gems (although Calli said it caused crashes for the players in her FB group, so your results may vary).
I was able to double the 25 gems to 50 as recently as yesterday in an alt park. Since the 25 gems only appear three times in the 100-day cycle, it’s more difficult to test. The 3-6 gems are a frequent reward. Based on the complaints over the last month, this bug appears to affect iOS players more than Android, could be iOS only. Deca said they are looking into it.

All I know in general I have noticed the game is crashing frequently since they implemented the feature throughout the day besides just the initial daily reward. This morning was the first time I was able to double a 3-6 gems. I guess I never even knew 3-6 gems was a possible reward as I don’t keep track of what’s in to come. I’ve only been able to double the 25 gem reward twice between my main and alt park and it would crash the other times. But the frequency of the crashes is frustrating for sure. It happens after or during races, collecting coins, hatching eggs, etc and will restart and will most likely start you a few seconds before the crash as I generally will still have my egg if I am trying to collect on that at the time. I have reported, but got the standard restart, reinstall the game…which I have done and has not helped. Still being patient and hope it works itself out soon.

This feature doesn’t work in either of my parks for gems, dc, or whatever is offered that day. I loose whatever is being offered because the game crashes. I have just stopped doing it is better to get what is offered than gamble on the 2x and lose all.

The random crashes while collecting from habitats, switching parks, breeding dragons, etc, have been in the game (and increasing in frequency) for several months.
The Daily Rewards/Double Rewards crash with 3-6 gems is a bug associated with Double Rewards. Double Rewards likely isn’t causing the other crashes because those issues were in the game before Double Rewards was implemented.
Deca is aware of the frequent game crashes and the Double Rewards bug. Hopefully, they can quash the bug and optimise the game so the crashes are significantly reduced or eliminated.

i play with Android and at first it only crashed for Daily Gem Rewards but since it crashed for something else i no longer even think about clicking that "double" button!
i wish DECA would concentrate on fixing things asked for and leave these "new" ideas for later ... if ever.
I have suffered from the disappearing event bug. I had not yet chosen my egg from day 2 of the event and it was chosen for me - How do I go about fixing this? Clearly not collecting the egg from gifts is step 1.

I don't what it is about this latest update, but almost every ad is crashing my game. It's very frustrating as it either doesn't pay out and I have to relaunch and watch again, or it crashes and I lose the reward and then can't rewatch (in the case of the launch reward ad, or the arena). I saw that Merge Mansion was mentioned, Whiteout Survival is another one that I've noticed, but it has been happening with about 4/5 ads.
