I had something strange happen the other day… I received Gems & Food from “A Dragonvale Player”. I collected and sent back Gems & Food. Then I realized “A Dragonvale Player” wasn’t in my list of Friends 🤷🏼♂️ WTH?
'A DragonVale Player' is usually a placeholder when the game hasn’t been able to fetch the name of the friend. Other times, the list of friends will be empty. It’s interesting that you were able to send gifts to the person, and the Free Gift buttons for gems and treats weren’t greyed out. If you continue to see A DragonVale Player in your Gifts, force close the game and reload. Hopefully, your friend’s name will show.

Before the end of the last event, I purchased a Chrysalis EoM and got a pearlescent dragon egg. That's super great! But my understanding is that if I already have a regular (which I do) I will be given a twin variety, but I wasn't? I tried to include both in my screenshot, you can see my previous pearlescent i had before buying the EoM in the top left below my name, and the EoM one I received in my rewards tab that is also non-twin. Is this a glitch in when the egg was given?

Pearlescent is a Rift exclusive dragon, so there is no twin variant. It only has the regular traited version. But you are correct about the order and version of the dragons you’ll receive for the other, non-Rift exclusive dragons.

I’m not receiving event currency for transformation items gained in gold chests. Is this correct?
Yes, Spellform pieces are supposed to sell for 50 EC. At least, they have in the past. I’ve asked Deca to implement this. When we hear back, I’ll let everybody know. Thank you for reporting the issue!

I’ll need to know the name of the ad provider to request the removal of the advert. Here are the instructions to report an ad.
I receive a lot of ads that stop and appear to not close. If you wait a minute, even though the ad is frozen and the countdown timer has expired, the 'x' to close the ad will show. There are a number of adverts in the game that have an incorrect timer. The ad is supposed to be 30 or 60 seconds, but the timer is only 5 or 10 seconds long. So you need to wait another 25 to 55 seconds for the close button 'x' to show. It will feel like a lifetime waiting, but if you time it, it is not more than a minute.

Hi, my app has been crashing on launch (not reaching the loading screen) for the last few days after updating it. I don't have my park backed up/connected, I only have it stored locally so I can't delete and redownload the app to try to fix it. Not too sure what to do, is this a common bug? Thanks

You'll need to contact support. If you know your park ID (that's the long one, not the friend ID) that'll be easiest for them to find your park. But they've been able to restore parks with only small amounts of information (like friend IDs) before, so even if you don't know your park ID it's worth contacting support as long as you know other info like a friend ID.
PSA: Opening event market tiers causes the game to crash
Players have reported crashes when they attempt to open the Traveling Fair and Treasury tiers. Based on similar issues in the past, I believe players who had the market or game open when the new content was added to these tiers are experiencing this bug. On Friday evening, I reported the issue. Deca will likely look into it when they return on Monday. Apologies for the inconvenience.

The instant crashes you described indicate that the update may have made the game too large for your device. This has happened to me as well, several years ago. Delete videos, images, and apps to free up as much memory as possible. If this is a memory issue, that should help. But if you still can't open the game, your device probably doesn’t have enough RAM, which is usually the problem.
Contact support and ask them to turn on Low Resolution Mode. If you still can’t open your game, ask them to also turn on Optimise Memory. Hopefully, you can load the game with just Low Resolution Mode activated since Optimise Memory can cause lagging and other performance issues.
Without knowing your device's specs, it’s hard to say for certain, but the instant crashes appear to be a memory/RAM problem. Which device are you using?

Every time which I attempt to watch a colosseum ad, it causes the game to either crash or give no reward.
All other ads work fine and as expected; there is no issues correlated to a specific type of ad.
I have not been able to receive Colosseum ad rewards for over a week. Thought DECA fixed the issue a little while ago, but it seems the patch actually made things worse, at least on my device.

I finally encountered the advertisement again. After the initial video ends, you get a screen inviting you to "play now" and a link to download the game on appstore. There are no "X"s to close the screen. After about 3 minutes the screen blanks out with only the banner to download the app from app store. No "X" anywhere. After some tapping, the "play now" screen comes back and still no links. Hope this helps.

My game crashes when I click to add enhancements to one of my Enhanced dragons. Now I can’t even collect the piece I just won, the game crashes and reloads, and the piece I tried to collect is back in my gifts (at least it didn’t disappear). Is this happening with anyone else?

It hasn't happened to me specifically, but I do know this is a recurring issue with enhancements. I'm not sure if anyone's found a solution yet. Since this is a recurring issue, it might be an idea to contact support as well as seeing if people here know what to do, since that'll alert Deca that it's happening again.
