As part of the tutorial at the beginning of the event, you are given a Runestone which you use to activate a cave (part of the tutorial and is compulsory). After you have finished the tutorial, you should have two caves open. One which will be open permanently and the one that you have just activated. This one will have a countdown in days. You won't have any Runestones though.

Ok I will totally read up on the RBCs after dinner (I'm cooking so can't stop now) but I have a few questions hopefully someone more up to date can help with: - how di I use the Prismatic Pantheon/how would I know how to find it if I did have it in my park? - is there a cap on the eggs from each method of collecting per day? I'm still getting some from habitats though I've collected a fair few - are there any strategies as to which I should try breeding for (normal/RBC/co-op)?There's so many available!
- To find out if you have the Prismatic Pantheon, go to your wish fountain/buildings. If you do have the Prismatic Pantheon it will show as 1/1. Finding it your park won't be so easy, it will need to be an island by island search for it. It isn't listed in the decorations to be able to 'find'. adlerist has given instructions on the first page of this thread for which settings are required to find the eggs and Kaleni.
- There is a cap of 10,000 eggs that you can collect per day. However, there is a cap on the number of eggs that you can collect from habitats, 500 on a normal day and 1000 on a double day.

I was thinking to buy three extra caves also. Do we buy the rune stones just once? Like does one paid rune stone make the cave available for the entire event, or just a week???
Let me answer like I have ever bought a runestone (side question: Do runestones ever go on sale? I’m thinking of actually buying some this time.). A runestone activates a cave for 7 days. Once a cave has been activated, you get one claim from the cave all event, no matter how many times it was activated. Make sure if you use a runestone you are activating a cave that has not been activated before so you maximize your claims.
There has never been a sale for Runestones. You can wait until reset and see if double day changes the cost (that’s usually when promos occur), but it seems highly unlikely there will be a price reduction for Runestones.

PSA - Colorado does Day Light Savings this weekend. Even though DECA is in Germany there has still been something in the code that ties to Colorado DST and things get wonky for some when the change happens until the next reset (which could happen an hour earlier depending on where you are.)
Yes, Deca is still planning on changing the daily reset to three hours earlier. It could occur with the next event or maybe later.
Any hiccups that resulted with DST in the past, will probably repeat again, since Deca hasn’t altered the reset time.

Assuming all the mechanics stay the same as in past events, yes another cave activates on double days. This free cave traditionally opens to the right of the one that goes the entire event. The help for the event only said double days and did not mention triple. In the past there was a triple day that opened another cave (again to the right if I remember correct), but I don’t *think* that is going to happen this event based on the help section. In the past we were also gifted another runestone through the colorful benefactortry. Looks like we might get 2, on day 6 and day 24, based on the shape of the shadow. But that is pure conjecture on my part.
I think you are correct about there only being one free cave that activates on double days, and it is to the right of the one that goes the entire event. That one is called a Bonus Runic Breeding Cave, whereas all of the other caves are just Runic Breeding Caves.
So if you're inclined to spend any real money, buying a Satchel of Runestones (7) will allow you to activate all of the caves and maximize your return on dragons that you get to keep at the end of the event. I haven't spent any money on DV in quite a while, so I'll probably go ahead and do it. Considering the amount of time I've spent playing this game over the past 9 1/2 years, it's worth it!
This is correct. If you click on the RBC, it will state it is a Bonus Runic Breeding Cave.
If you click on the Info button, it will say when the cave is activated.
So be sure NOT to activate this cave with a Runestone.
There will not be a triple day, so no additional bonus caves. I agree with Greggerman, a satchel of Runestones is the best buy, and it’ll allow you to claim 10 eggs. I always purchase the satchel.
A couple points to keep in mind
1. The Egg History list is shared among all the caves, so as long as you’ve bred a dragon in a RBC, you can claim the egg from any RBC.
2. Even if the RBC is no longer active, you can claim an egg from it. So don’t feel pressured into select an egg just because the cave’s breeding time is about to expire. As long as you activated the cave once, you can claim an egg from it at any time.

There are 50 eggs to find in the park. Am I the only one that thinks this number is excessive - and some only give a 1 egg reward for finding it. Please Deca, would you consider dropping the number of eggs to find next time? Keep the overall reward the same, but decrease the number of eggs to find.
I don’t even bother looking for the eggs. I’ll be surprised if I ever clear the green border around the Visitors icon. If I find eggs while I’m searching for flag bearers, that’s all good, but there’s no way I’m going to scrounge through every island to find an egg that’ll reward 1 measly magic egg.
I’ll relay your egg reduction feedback to Deca.

Deca have really shown that the listen to their players with the recent addition of decorations. Perhaps there is hope for the bluebird in the Camp Dragonvale becoming a decoration after all. 🤞

Players have been asking for this ice bear for over three years. It’s become a bit of fun with Deca and the Game Reps. I’ll jokingly suggest the polar bear at every turn, especially when it’s least relevant. Surely, by now, everyone thinks I’m polar bear crazed — maybe I am. But if it gets ice bear into the game, it’s well worth it.

How do I get a Rifted Starwing Glowwing? I only have a Lacewing & a Swallowtail in the rift. Will those 2 eventually give me either the Starwing iron glowwing? I desperately want to breed a Pearlescent. Thank you!

Chrysalis dragons have very specific breeding combos. adlerist posted the Chrysalis breeding chart on the first page of the thread. It can be a bit confusing to start with, but if you look at Lacewing and Swallowtail, you will see that the arrows point to Marbletail - that is the only result that you will get by breeding that pair. If you had either a Duskwing or Chrysalis plus either a Starwing or Glowwing, you would be able to breed all the other Chrysalis dragons.
Do you have a normal Starwing/Glowwing? Is it a twin? The best way in this event, would be to breed a Starwing/Glowwing in the Runic Breeding Caves and claim a Rifted version. If you don't already have a twin Starwing/Glowwing, you can select a normal twin and then a rifted twin from a difference Runic Breeding Cave.
It would be a lot less trouble to just buy Pearlescent with eggs - it is not an easy dragon to breed even if you have the correct dragons.

Yes, it hatches as a regular egg, so you can select a pedestal.

PEONI is levelled to 20 and staying afloat in the co-op pond by a glorious floral floaty!
Unfortunately, the peony floaty is too heavy a load, and frequently drowns Peoni. Clearly, attaching a floaty to your back isn’t the best approach.

Thank you, thank you, MinyaZ! I do have a twin Starwing & have a reg Duskwing, so now both of them are in a Runic cave. I will probably take your advice & buy a Pearlescent. I don’t need that many dragons so, should have enough event currency to buy at least a few of the ones I still need. Pearlescent has been impossible for me to figure out. The only other dragon that has taken me as long was the Seasonal, 3 long years of nearly non-stop trying. At least I could figure out to breed the Seasonal! Thank you again!
