I like the snow. It’s very cheerful and it’s fun while playing the scavenger hunt.
i like snow also. its very pretty! i read forum a lot when not login & snow never bothers me.
I’ll change it so the snow is only on the Home page. That should satisfy everyone’s needs. On Xmas, it was switched to every page. So on New Year’s Day, I’ll return the snow to all pages for a day or two.
Also, I’ll be moving these posts to the Forum Updates / Requests thread. Please post any requests for the Forum on that thread. Thank you.

Don’t worry about it, Dreamn! You’re all good! The falling images can certainly get annoying and distracting. It’s better to just have it on the Home page when there’s no holiday. 😊

Please be aware, I’ve only added the spoiler button code to the default theme. So if you’re using one of the Forum’s other themes the button won’t show (I’ll add it to the other themes in the future and incorporate it into the toolbar buttons).
REINDEXING
The Forum’s search function was not accurate, so the site has been reindexed and now searches are working properly.
SNOW!
Snow is now on every page for a day or two. And it’s collecting at the bottom of the page! You’ll notice the snow is magnetised and sometimes it’s pulled to the bottom of the screen. That is exactly how gravity works, my friend 😁. Perhaps after enough snow collects, you can build a snowman. ☃️
FIREWORKS!
The Scavenger Hunt thread has a New Year’s display with some festive fireworks (otherwise known as 'Sparkle Startle' by dogs). If you click New Posts on the navigation bar, or click on the Dragon Park board on the Home page, you’ll see a list of threads. The Scavenger Hunt thread has some fireworks in the background.

If you try to change your avatar by selecting an image from the Forum’s avatar list, the image may not apply and your selection will not be saved.
You can still use a link to an image or upload an image from your computer or device. It’s only the list of Forum avatars that are affected.
I’m looking into the bug further, and will let everyone know when there’s an update. Until then, it’s probably best if you don’t change your avatar with an image from the avatar list.
Email Notifications
AOL and Yahoo are blocking emails from ProBoards, so you will not receive notifications if it’s set up through an AOL or Yahoo account. ProBoards is working on the issue, and hopefully it will be resolved soon.

Love is in the air — and not just in the Vale, but also on the Forum
NEW EVENT THEME
Sweet dreams occur at night, so this event has a dark theme. If you prefer light themes, click on the 'T' icon in the lower left corner of the screen and switch to '10 Years', which is light. You must be a Forum member to change themes, because your selection is retained to the member profile so you don’t have to update the theme every time you login.

Background image is the Hearts Twilight Tower theme. Plus, a Box of Chocolates!
Since the Box of Chocolates hilariously remained in the sky all through the last Valentine’s event, I thought I’d bring back the nostalgic moment. However, the chocolate box is causing some problems and not centring itself properly on a tablet and phone screen. I’ll work on it a little more, but I may remove the chocolates.
NEW FORUM FEATURE!
The Forum can sometimes have lengthy pages with long posts and lots of images. To help you navigate a little faster, Davinese and Fissure are here to give you a hand.
On the right side of the screen, you’ll see either endearing Davinese jumping UP in an effort to fly, or delightful Fissure cracking DOWN on the surface. If you click Davinese, you’ll be taken to the top of the page.
If you click Fissure, you’ll be directed to the bottom of the page. This means Fissure is only visible at the top of the page.
It took a long time to get the animation for Davinese and Fissure correct, so I’m going to leave it for now, but I may change them to images instead of animated buttons. I’ve positioned Davinese and Fissure so they’re small and not in the way of posts or Forum functions, but I don’t want Davinese to be too distracting. If you have feedback on Davinese and Fissure, please let me know.
You can also return to the top of the page by using the Home button on your computer keyboard. On a tablet or phone, tap the top of the screen. There’s also the really cumbersome gear icon on each Forum post, click it and select Back to Top.
But none of these options include dragons. So clearly it was very necessary to add the upward Davinese and the downward Fissure.

I think you should keep them as they are and not change them. They’re translucent so not too noticeable. They’re really adorable 🥰 I think it’s REALLY helpful to have a back to the top and bottom buttons. I use a phone a lot of the time and there isn’t a good way to get to the bottom. When I’m on the forum I usually click on threads and want to go to the bottom of the page because that’s where the new posts are. I know I can tap near the last reply and get there but you can’t do that if you click on a page button, you have to scroll down. I think it’s just easier to have buttons. I use them all the time on my browser. And these are the cutest buttons ever!
At first, I thought it was another scavenger hunt, so kept tapping on the little Davinese and Fissure. Then I came here to find out.. 🤣🤣
That's what I did too. I thought we were supposed to be collecting them, but after tapping a couple times, I realized they made the page scroll up and down.
But I really like having them on the forum. Even better that they're animated, because it's like having your own cute little dragon buddies to keep you company.

I think you trained all of us adlerist . I clicked on them a couple times when I first saw them too. I thought a new scavenger hunt had started with the new event. 🤪
