What combo are you using for Apex? I’m using Minchi and Arid, been trying to 10,000 everyday and still nothing, not even a nonrifted 😕
I've been using Karroot and Alpenglow, both level 20. And in fact, I just got my third non-rifted Apex as I'm writing this. Sigh...

Like hidden double days. Factor is x5 day x-y with a max at 25... x2 days x4-y4, etc.
That would definitely work too as long as they specify in-code that the max for everyone is 25- wouldn't require a complete collection amount reset but might take some time to implement.

Yes, personally I think it'd be best to just reset everyone's collection progress. I won't go into details, but essentially people who buy the Circle after rerelease will have the option to collect 25 shards a day for the first week while everyone who already owns it has already lost that chance (because of already owning the building for longer than a week and being unable to collect past the cap).

Good news for those that want it. But DV has always been a dragon breeding game for me. :-)
Monolith and Snowflake dragons originally were not able to be single parent bred, so you had to buy two of them in a corresponding event. This has evolved to allow single parent breeding so that you can use one Mono/Snow and parent clone it. Once you had two, you could then bred all of them.
If I remember correctly, you weren't buying them per se, but you were collecting event currency, to unlock the rewards in a specific order. Good times.
The rift added a new dimension to DV and because of the Mono/Snow breeding requirements BFS had to make a way to allow Mono/Snow dragons in the rift. They did this with the introduction of Mono/Snow mystery eggs.
You only need to buy one egg Fletch_smf (providing it is traited ) and then you can breed all the others. Otherwise you will have to wait to strike it lucky on the Daily Rewards and get a traited Mono/Snow that way.
That's a great point about the mystery egg work around. But the Rift is just super boring to me. It's just a handful of new dragons, and then all the others repeated (just slightly different) and then only habitats (but no-where near enough to display all the rifted dragons) and no decorations or anything else fun. If there's no way to breed a monolith or a snowflake in there, then so be it. :-)

I've always felt the same way about the rift, Fletch_smf . It's incredibly boring, 95% of rift dragons are basically recolors, there aren't any decorations, and it's really a dull place overall with nothing exciting going on. That's why I take my rift exclusive dragons and put them on display in my main park, where I can admire them.
EDIT: And now that that's been said, I finally managed to breed Whimsical... in the rift!
The rift is good for speed breeding, but my Whimsical has a plant trait. At first I wasn't sure if I liked it with a plant trait - looks a little too green honestly. But then I moved it to my park, fed it, and now I think the plant trait doesn't look half bad. Sort of like a glowing neon green.
Tl;dr the rift might be boring, but it's still a good place to breed dragons without having long timers.

The Rift is why I stopped playing DV. It came out, I commented dubiously here, and then… stopped
To come back and stay back, I had to find a way to interact with the Rift that worked for me. DragonMoonX is right, it’s handy having another breeding location without the timers, and to be fair, some of the recolours are /pretty/. It’s been really useful trying to catch up on the dragons I missed.
I’m pretty sure I’ll never get purple fire and that’s alright with me.

I got a second traited Coldcoil when I actually need an traitless one.
On the bright side, they look good. Just like the Three traited Moriante fails while I was trying for traited Bastion.

Hi I've been trying to breed a traited Coldcoil for a long time. What combo worked for you?
First one came from Stoneshell and Hypnotic. Second one came from Pond and Glass trying for traited Whimsical and Apex.
Well guess what. Got yet another untraited Whimisical via Rift Breeding and I had enough and bought a couple of Mystery Eggs and what did you know. I got my traited Apex among the bunch! In fact I got Apex twice from Mystery Eggs from the binge! I felt maybe the Rift Gods are mocking me or even just forgiving me for a bit...
Anyway, other Mystery Egg binge highlights:
At least I can finally switch combos. I suppose traited Whimsical can wait.
Also why does my gifts have to scramble whenever the game reloads. T_T
I wanna be a volcano~
Now I should calm down for a bit. 🍷🍷🍷

This is my first official WHINE. Trying to co-op breed a burrow dragon..started with poison after a few days, with only one 10 minute timer, I moved on to using elder earth b/c someone said they used that and got burrow…. Been trying for more days , speed breeding etc….so. Many. Lava. Dragons! Every time it’s a 10 min timer I get super excited, eveytime it’s a LAVA! Ugh. If anyone could spare some koalas I promise to feed them and return them in good condition. TIA!

I am with you. After 2-3 days of constant coop breeding I was able to get zip zap. Other than that I have lava, obsidian and wisp over and over. I went from about 500 gems to 60 in one Park. I give up. I am not spending my reward money as chances are the limited will be out soon and I won’t be able to breed them either. Each event appears to get more difficult. I don’t have many of the dragons needed in this event so may just collect my pine cones and not worry about it. I quit for awhile and may do that again. Just too many events way too close together, which is great if you have all the dragons from prior events. I do not. Thank you for sharing a wine 🍷.
@jacquirebriggs - Just send your two traited coldcoils over to the vale. With clone + breed chance right now you should get pretty easy.
Oh shoot, why didn't I think of that?
I bred another plant trait Whimsical this morning and then I sold it. I should have kept the dang thing and bred the two of them together in the vale for a dragon without a trait.

I already got an untraited through my traitorous rift cave. With the same combo.
I’m switching to Valor + Aubergine so i can try for traited Ignis/Frons/Scout/Combustion.
I know the odds decrease, but it’s more painful to use recommended combo and have it never show up.
