I've never taken much notice of the alignment in the rift. However, after breeding two light traited Heavy Metals I wondered what would happen if I changed the rift alignment. I changed it to plant and immediately bred a plant traited one. I followed this up by changing first to cold and then lightening and also metal and now have one of each of those happily playing together in my large Melody habitat.
Rather a greedy question, but is it possible to get air, water or earth rifted Heavy Metal.
My other thought is this. If I bred those Heavy Metal so quickly after changing the alignment, would it help to breed the initial Heavy Metal if the alignment was one of its elements?

After many fails getting to even see the add in the colosseum and thus loosing 2 gems escape time, seems the probably has been solved in the sense that Decca just eliminated the add option. You get you 5 gems and no offer to watch an add. Wow, am in admiration of the simple way to get rid of a problem you cannot solve. Cheap.

I completed the Colosseum in my main and secondary parks several hours ago, and had the option to watch an ad for 2 additional gems and DC. I’ll ask, but I don’t believe the Colosseum ad has been removed.

Then two weeks later they end up on the Jerry Springer show, with mommy Lycan swearing that she hasn't been with any other dragons in the breeding cave, and daddy Decay wanting tests to prove this is his child, because no one has ever seen a Punk dragon from this combination before so they're all thoroughly confused.

I've broken the code. One is female decay and male lycan, the other male decay and female lycan. Not the same at all. Unfortunately, dragons change sex every 3.8 minutes.

It was nothing new? Didn’t Bloom and Celtic have the same breeding hint.
And any elemental combos, especially plant earth fire cold ones.
It’s not new, but shared locked breeding combos typically have offspring that are related.

It may not be such a bad thing having dragons share locked breeding combos. With so many dragons being released with unique locked combos, it gets harder and harder to get useful fails when BEB rolls around.
Reposting this because I don’t think it went through the first time. Can you use Ghostly Decay to breed a Punk dragon? If so does it increase your chances?
Ghostly Decay is a totally different dragon from Decay for breeding purposes. So it won't work with the Decay & Lycan breeding combo for Punk.
It certainly won't increase and will definitely decrease your chances of getting Punked.

Yes, and it must be wearing one white glove - or have one white paw/foot/claw - whatever dragons have.
So the group I’m currently into - their fandom is called Melody. Every time I see it in a DV context I’m all eyyy- wait what?
In breeding news - HM and Dragons Week really threw me off track, I’m still missing some 13 of the returnees. I now have all the evolve decos and 3/4 ghostly effigies, but no spare Chromacorn to evolve. Given I dropped about half my candies to get HM, I might have to make some hard choices at the end of the event!
