Mixed results for me too. I did get all the dragons thanks to the co-op but I honestly can’t remember the last time I bred an event dragon in either the EBS or the EBC which is frustrating & a bit odd since it’s the aim of the game 🤷♀️ The rift was a letdown too, I did breed Punk & Techno but tried countless times for Scout & Charlatan to no avail. On the plus side, some of the new decorations were great & the Melody habitats are fab. Although due to my need for symmetry I had to get one small, two large & forgo the giant one but I appreciate that’s my problem 😂
A brand new haunted and thrilling Hallowe’en game is looming this way for all our members. Whitbee’s Scavenger Hunt will launch on 31 October at DragonVale’s reset!
From 31 October to 3 November, there will be an array of candy randomly hidden on the Forum for members to discover. Tomorrow, the full details of the game will be released on the new SCAVENGER HUNT thread.

Halloween was super spooky and fun. For the very first time I was able to breed the three starting event dragons before the limited hit. Even after overspending on the wrong magic chest 🙄 I had leftover candies and purchased 119 Pharoah pedestals! 😆
The scavenger hunt has been great! RL has kept me preoccupied, but I was still able to collect a few items each day. ☺️
Tomorrow starts thanksgiving and xmas right around the corner. My gosh, this year has gone by so quickly. 🙃

Honestly, I really don’t like goldens.
I don’t know that Bramble counts as a golden hybrid- its egg doesn’t match and there’s already precedent for permanent non-hybrid rares (Daylily). Personally I just count Bramble in a similar sense to Daylily’s case- maybe DECA could add an element to Bramble to make it more in line with what we have so far?

Honestly, I really don’t like goldens.
Bramble never made sense as a golden except for the elements. Everyone always questioned if it was or not. Thankfully now we do not have to do that anymore. We have a pedestal that goes with the others. I am glad this was revisited. Goldens only have two elements and are permanent which is pretty nice. My only complaint is I would rather see them as standalone dragons when they are released and not tied to an event.

I agree with your idea of giving Bramble an additional element to make it more like Daylily in the "random permanent hybrid" group. I know Deca Games has said that they won't touch any of the BFS dragons, but perhaps an exception ought to be made. Maybe it can have Earth?

With the back-to-back events there isn't really time to release a new golden hybrid on its own. I wouldn't like to see one being released half way through an event on top of the dragons that are already breedable - new or limited release - to add extra pressure as another dragon that needs to be bred.
The advantage of releasing them as part of an event means that newer players don't have to worry about saving event currency to buy them - they will be made permanent after the event and will be fails for other breeding that they are attempting. It also means that it is one (or two in this event) dragons that will be available to breed with a rift trait after the event and we don't have to wait for a BEB.

I vote for lighting. There’s too many with Earth. Although I think Bramble is fine as it is and doesn’t need more elements.
While Umbra ran away with the top dragon prize, Etch came in second, and Funis edged into third.
It’s been a spookerific Hallowe’en. But now, dusty hills and a bountiful harvest awaits, as the Vale anxiously anticipates the long lost and dearly missed Om of Noms feast.
