HAHAHAHAAAA! I never noticed them 👻 They are CUTEEEEE! Much cuter than the ones from the Weather Station. I feel a little bad they can’t come out of the pit and play with their friends tho.

Typically, I don’t post new quests if they’re listed on DV Wiki, but this one is out in the wild dark, and may not be added since it’ll likely be changed.
'A Swamp Thing' is Ghostly Moss’s quest — a little too close for comfort. So the FB rep requested Etch’s quest be updated.
And here’s one for Funis
Sadly, a perfect opportunity to use 'Soap on a Rope' has been missed.

LOL that’s so funny that Etch’s quest is Ghostly Moss’ quest. There are so many quests it’s probably had to check all the variations. Soap on a Rope would have been too hilarious for Funis 🤣
tornorr suggested 'Sap Trap' to replace Etch’s quest, which perfectly describes the dragon.
I offered 'Etch-a-Sketchy', due to Etch’s 'unnerving and suspicious' appearance.
But Deca will probably create their own wordplay. I think a Quest Naming Contest would be a fun change for the Community Contest. But they’d have a lot of submissions and it’d likely take too much time for Deca to go through them all.

As per a previous event, my evolve strategy is to buy additional plays until I have most of them and then hold out for a guaranteed chest. This time I remembered to do it on a double weekend (I used to just always buy an additional every 12h) and I decided I’d buy an additional play until I didn’t get a chest. This morning I may have underestimated my skill at egg recognition because by the time I finished, I’d dropped 150 gems! On the other hand, i now have 3/4 ghostly effigies, 25/30 evolve decorations, a handful of Macabre pieces, and a bunch of duplicates! I might stop buying now.
Did you get any of the flames in the chests?
I bought 5 extra turns/chests and didn’t get anything, only food, coins and candy. And since I spent 900 gems last week on storage and hiber upgrades, I don’t have extra gems to waste right now.
Flames of Corruption? Yep I got some 15-odd. I’ll sell up the duplicates at some point!

So I can evolve a rifted Love dragon to get a rifted Wrath?
Make sure to breed extra Love rift dragons before evolving. It is fairly easy if you already have two. If you have the currency evolve 2 Wrath dragons so you can get a rifted pedestal. This is currently the only way to get it since it takes two unless you are given one as a daily gift or in a mystery egg. Then if you need regular Wrath or a Wrath pedestal send the two rifted versions over so you do not have to evolve and use more candies.

I'm looking at the list of recommended dragons, and I have one half of each breeding pair. So I've been trying to breed some of the dragons I need, and neither one of them have made an appearance. Which is funny because those two have always shown up in the past when I wasn't trying for them.

The Elder Primary dragons are really ruling this event 😃 I bred Etch with Ghostly Plant Elder took 2 tries Funis with Plant Elder took 5 tries Infernus with Ghostly Fire Elder took 6 tries
Hopefully the Elders are treating everyone else well too.
The Elder dragons are working their magic for me too - and working very quickly.
Fire Elder worked for Infernus took 3 tries Light Elder worked for Funis - first try - was very surprised Dark Elder worked for Etch - this one took a little longer - 5-6 breeds
Really appreciate Deca giving us such good co-op odds for these dragons. Gets the event off to a great start.
The green-blue hellfire campfire… is there any chance Deca will make it available to buy, or gift it to us at the end of the event? My park needs this bonfire!
Ok now, I’m not liking this new reset time. Right around 9:30 or 10am I sit down with my coffee and hatch babies, collect from habitats and play the mini games again. My old reset time was 11am, so I really counted on this morning after activity.
I just opened my vale and it’s already today! This is going to take some getting used to. 🙃
Same for me. The reset doesn't vibe with my uni schedule at all
I'd have to collect at 16.00 and 20.00, which is only four hours apart. Doesn't matter for the rift, but my income for DC and event currency is going down the drain.
I highly doubt I'll remember to log in again at 20.00 half the time.
I don't think I'll delete DV, but it might be a month(s) long break. It's very difficult for me to majorly adjust my routine, and now DV doesn't even fit.
It doesn't fit at all. Hurriedly running rounds 7.15/8.00 is a nightmare chore. The evening 20.00+ one I might forget half the time.
I already feel extremely stressed because of DV. It's seriously unhealthy.
Most of all, I'm bad at playing events and doing extremely poorly. I'd rather completely miss some.
I already bought the new theme. I'll stay long enough, though not every day to buy habitats and then it's officially goodbye for god knows who long.

LynnMarie and samiam - Thank you for the Elder suggestions! I tried for Funis several times with a different dragon. Then first time out with Elder Fire - BOOM there was Funis!
I am very very angry withnDeca, the least professional company in charge of this game. First, three days no that the add in Colosseum blocks and the 2 gems are lost. Worst : logged in on reset, did all the collections, colosseums, tolzar, pumpkins etc all found. Went to rift to collect there and boom game closes announcing double cones ! Loosing probably 200+cones. Have sent mail to support, they better compensate.

I did the same, found pumpkins and Whitbee, collected from my habitats and colosseum first thing after reset. I had logged in after the day had reset and no doubles. Now 2 hours later (not three which I would’ve chalked up to a reset error) it is a doubles day.
Not cool DECA! (I don’t agree that they are the least professional company though, HASBRO still has that by a mile)

I think mine is actually 7AM. I've been paying attention to the timer for the games, like dragon drop and all that good stuff, and it's resetting at seven. I assume the game resets at seven. Idk because there are different timers like for gifting gems, and they all seem to be doing their own thing right now.
Not that I really mind. I check my park throughout the day anyway, so no biggie. Just a little tiny bit confused. 🤔

For US players, reset is 4.00 AM HST (Hawaii), 7.00 AM PDT, 7.00 AM MST (Arizona), 8.00 AM MDT, 9.00 AM CDT, 10.00 AM EDT.
DragonVale’s reset will soon change on 31 October, when Europe’s daylight saving time ends, and Germany moves its clocks and DV’s reset back one hour.

I reported the late Double Day and suggested compensation, but I don’t know if Deca will do this in-game. Players may have to contact support individually and make the request.
If you have the names of the glitchy ads that are preventing the Colosseum reward, I can report them. However, if ads are failing to play at all, you may need to wait a minute longer before completing the Colosseum. Even if Tolzar’s Optical Oracle is showing, the ad is not always loaded. Waiting another minute is usually enough time and the ad will play. This is the result of parks growing larger and gradually slowing the game.

I have immediately sent a complete report to. DECA support and told them which add poses problem. It loads but the check out X is already there, no time to elapse, so looks like finishing but then I get the usually oops message. It’s a Swiss addd. I gave the name to support. For cones I want the full missing ones. Got akn mail from DECA, will see what they do. Will keep you posted.
