Missed day 1 since these very important, though recently very short, weeks don't come with a warning. No matter. What does matter is that it now takes me 10 minutes (!!!) to load DV. If successful, the lag is so bad that I'm surprised breeding works without crashing.
I don't know how to feel about this. On the hand, it's finally definitive proof that the lag in this app is mainly caused by behind the scenes workings that shouldn't exist. On the other. 10. Minutes. of. Loading. Time!!! What?? Why!
DV should not take 10 minutes to load. If you switch resolution modes then a lot of content has to download again. How much memory do you have on your game device? Have you rebooted it recently? Memory leaks are still a “thing” in computer programming and can rob your device of working memory between reboots. Do you or others on your network have a web browser, TV, or game open that is also downloading or running content? Are you uploading any kind of content? How fast is your Internet connection? Do you have your own router? If yes then when was it last rebooted? These are a few of the things that can wreak havoc on an Internet connection and a resource-intensive game. I hope something will help.

It's back to normal today, lag included. Something about the dragon week completely broke my game. There were no changes to any of my habits. Other apps behaved normally.
To be very specific, the first load before the game kicks you out with each new event start took 8 minutes. The reload took 2. The lag was so extreme yesterday, though, I was sure it wouldn't just disappear. As of now, DV, however, is back to normal.
AMAZING RAINBOW UPDATE FOR AURORA, PARTY, AND ENFIS!
Since players have been suffering from constant Aurora, Party, and Enfis breeding fails over the years, we asked for an adjustment to their breeding percentages, so if you own the dragon, your odds of receiving it will be lower. Deca Games graciously and wonderfully agreed to this!
Here are the new breeding percentages:
• Aurora: 4% if you don’t own it; 1% if you own it • Party: 3% if you don’t own it; 1% if you own it • Enfis: 3% if you don’t own it; 1% if you own it
The first percentage, if you don’t own it, has not changed. The second percentage has been added to prevent frequent, nonstop breeding fails, since most of these dragons have 50+ hour breeding / incubation times. This is important, because Aurora has been released for Dragon’s Week. Aurora, Party, and Enfis now have breeding percentages similar to the Leap Year dragons, so they’re more in line with the Rainbow dragons and the game. Hopefully, this will help all players breed the dragons they need and end the DV frustration.
Aurora, we love you, but not that much. Now we can love you even more. 🌈❤️
(This message has been cross-posted on the Deca Announcements thread)
Adlerist thank you so much for bringing up the Aurora breeding issue with Deca before Dragon’s Week started. That was a hugely amazing thing to do for the players! All those Aurora fails were extremely annoying. I can only image how disastrous it would have been if Aurora was released during this event! Crisis averted!
And thanks for getting Party and Enfis changed too! I feel like things are back to normal again!

You’re very welcome! I’d like to thank Deca Games for taking the Rainbow problem under consideration and adjusting these dragons for everyone, the other Game Reps for their input and support, and of course a gigantic thanks to all the players who voiced their concerns and made this change possible. Many Forum members complained about Aurora and Party and provided solid reasons for adjusting them or withholding their release. Nothing could have been achieved without the players’ feedback. Cheers to everybody!

And… Deca turned on the animation for the Lunatric Prism because the Prism dragon has been released. The deco isn’t available, but they’re remembering to turn on the animation. I could not be more thrilled!

Nightbloom and Misfortune are now permanent dragons!
Deca Games is looking to hold four Dragon’s Weeks per year so all the limited dragons can be released within 12 months. Using the Dragonarium as a guide, Forum staff organised the dragons by their categories. When I placed the limiteds into each Dragon’s Week, Nightbloom and Misfortune were in three of the four Dragon’s Weeks, because they’re breeding parents for so many dragons and show in multiple events. I recommended they become permanent, since they appear so frequently. Deca Games marvellously agreed to this, and now Nightbloom and Misfortune will be hanging around the Vale a lot more!
(There’s an error with Nightbloom. Since his status has changed to permanent, he is also showing in the Dark and Plant categories of the Dragonarium because those elements are on his profile card. Deca has been notified.)

PSA: The Chrysalis, Galaxy, and Monolith Egg of Mystery have returned for Dragon’s Week
The limited mystery eggs for the Dragon’s Week collections have been added to the Rift Market!
BUG ALERT: It appears the caps for the limited mystery eggs were also raised during the Rift Expansion, and players who were at the previous cap are now at the new cap. Deca has been notified.
TIP: If you need traited Monolith or Chrysalis dragons, please be sure to buy the eggs now. These mystery eggs are typically only available once a year during the spring event.

Not part of the dragons week or the event but because there is going to be a partial Solar Eclipse. It will be visible from most of Europe, northern Africa, the Middle East and western parts of Asia. 😊 ☀️ 😎
I hope everyone had a wonderfully productive and enjoyable Dragon’s Week! The mini event has concluded, so this thread reverted back to DV Progress and Achievements.
How did everyone do? Did you reach your Dragon’s Week goals?
I only needed three dragons traited from this DW: Scryer, Smigi, and Stage. Managed to breed traited Smigi and traited Stage, but wasn’t able to nab a traited Scryer. Scryer will definitely be a traited-twin claim at the Runic Breeding Caves.
I am ready for the next Dragon’s Week!

Delighted to share that today I have red fire for my first time ever. To celebrate and to say a huge thank you for all your forum tips, I joined the forum.
It's been 2 years and 7 months since I started my DV journey, initially encouraged by my kids, who have long since stopped playing DV. Progress toward red fire has been steady. My missing dragons gradually fell from 46 (Dec 21), to 19 (Jan 22), 8 (Apr 22) and 3 (Sep 22). The last elusive dragon for me was Trimera, which never came my way via coop breeding, but was gifted today for a daily login reward.
Nice red fire timing for me, as I hope to enjoy it for a whole week before a new event. Thanks a million for all the tips/resources on the forum - you do a wonderful job of providing wise and good humored advice.

I can no longer find the thread for reporting problems. This looks like the closest one.
Problem: When viewing an ad called “Figgerits”, the ad plays but never returns to DV.
You’re referring to the Bugs and Glitches thread. I’ve moved your post to it. And I’ve responded to you on that thread.
We have lots of active threads with Rate a Dragon and the Last Call competition. If you’re navigating the Forum using the New Posts button, may I suggest using the boards instead? On the Home page, under the category DV Discussions - All Active Threads > click the All Things DragonVale board. That will reduce the number of threads you’ll see.
New Posts will show you all threads; it has 43 pages of threads! Boards have specific threads assigned to them. The All Things DragonVale board only has two pages of threads. Hope that helps!

Just went through my spreadsheet. Need 57 twins and 61 rifts. One step at a time.
Little over a month later I need 55 twins and 59 rifts. Includes dragons to date. At least I am not back sliding, but I really feel like I am eating an elephant. Helped that the EOM bug was fixed, but I haven’t added a new rift habitat since the extravaganza, and I have been releasing everything I don’t need to get every bit of E I can. EOM price raising fast might have me backsliding soon.

Don't give up! I agree it is hard trying to stay ahead, but it's you are two down. This may be a good event for you and you get more twins than usual or manage to get more of the dragons with a trait that you need. 🍀 🐨 🍀 🐨
I hope this is the correct to post this cry for help as it's more of an 'overachievement' problem! I have 800 dragons languishing in the dungeon and I know very well that many of them have been cast in there hastily as I was too busy to check if I already had two/twins. Now it's time for a cull if I don't want to spend 1,000 gems to upgrade yet again.
I'm so far unable to find a method of quickly selling dragons after checking in the Dragonarium for multiples, scrolling through the whole lot in the filtered list in the hibernation dungeon and then returning to the Dragonarium and having to start scrolling all over again. It's taken me over an hour to sell about four dragons - three of which were in the rift hibernation dungeon, which didn't help the main one.
Has anyone devised an efficient system which isn't going to take many many hours?

To check for duplicates, I use the Dragonarium. Under the 'All' subcategory, in the upper right corner of each dragon’s icon, it shows how many you own. If the corner is gold, you have a twin. Since I collect regular, traited, twin, and traited-twin versions of each dragon, if the number is greater than four, I have duplicates.
From the Dragonarium, if you tap on the dragon’s icon corner with the number, the 'Your Dragons' window will open, listing all that you own. Click on the dragon you want to sell, then tap 'Find', and it’ll take you to the dragon. (You can also access 'Your Dragons' from the Hibernation Cave, its habitat, and the Market, by opening the dragon’s profile and tapping the upper right corner with the number indicating how many you own.)
Note: If you’re selling dragons from the Hibernation Cave, you can only sell a couple at a time, then you’ll need to exit the Cave. If you sell too many in a row, the game will crash. The problem is the DC you receive for selling the dragon is not paid until the Hibernation Cave is closed, so if you sell too many, the game can’t retain all the info, freaks out, and crashes. And you’ll lose the DC.

Hi friends, I’m on the path to all eggs and am making my (long) path to blue fire. I remember hearing that you can get red fire without the ghostlies - I have them all but few are twinned. Do you need twinned ghostlies for blue fire?
