Hi friends, I’m on the path to all eggs and am making my (long) path to blue fire. I remember hearing that you can get red fire without the ghostlies - I have them all but few are twinned. Do you need twinned ghostlies for blue fire?
No, you don’t need the Ghostly dragons for red fire, or the Ghostly twin dragons for blue fire. (But completionist will probably want the regular and twin versions.) If you have all the Ghostly dragons, you’ll receive the ghost smoke from the Dragonarium.

This is the most I could zoom out. Oddly, if I zoomed out more, the Megatat and Colossal Islands disappeared.
The Megatat is a new island concept, so here’s some info you might find helpful
• Megatat houses 15 dragons, no decorations can be placed on it.
• Dragons still earn DC on the Megatat. But the DC cap is only 3,500,000, so not exactly a DC farmer’s dream.
• If you’re looking to use the island to DC farm, remember, you can’t place element boosts on the Megatat, so you may want to throw Triple Leap Year, Starshine, and Tien dragons onto the island, as they are the top unboosted earners in that order.

To wish or to gem, that is the question. I could do either.
I’m looking for advice now that I found out you can wish for twins. I can also wish for the topmost rift habitats. But it is a lot of gems for the new islands, and I can speed breed on twin weekend. Wishing for twins also feels like it defeats the whole breeding aspect of the game. But on the other hand I don’t feel like I will ever get to blue fire without wishing.

My main question would be, currently, how many spare wishes do you have, and how many gems do you have?
Honestly, I personally wouldn't spend a wish on the Megatat. It's very, very pleasing aesthetically and obviously can store a lot of dragons, but practically speaking? No, in my opinion it's not worth a wish, certainly not if it's the only wish you have. Apart from one or two, all habitats store at least three dragons, most store at least four, so it's only saving up to 4-5 habitat slots and that space on your island. (Probably not worth the gems either, though with the discount it's 100 gems per dragon slot so it depends on how much you're willing to spend on it.)
I'd wish for the Colossal island if you need extra space. If you don't, or you have extra wishes left over, then it depends. How desperate are you to wish for twins, especially with things like EoMs, end of event gifts and RBCs?
Also, there was a twin weekend fairly recently, so likely won't be another too soon. So if you spend gems on the Megatat, you'll likely have plenty more by the time the next twin weekend comes along, which is when I'd advise using gems for twins.
Just going off this, I'd say gems. But if you happen to have tons of spare wishes and only just enough gems, then I might have a different opinion, I don't know.

If you're just going to wish for the others then obviously spend gems on the cheapest, if any of them.
If not, whichever is cheaper out of colossal/overgrown, and if they're the same price, overgrown since it's prettier.
Looks like there are 5 new upgrades to the hibernation caves too (normal and rift). Eventually allowing 1,500 dragons in each. Storage tower also got 5 more upgrades, up to 500 capacity.

Happy to have the two new islands, thanks for the tips on dragons to use in the Megatat. It looks great on my phone, but low resolution and pixelated on the iPad. Hoping they will fix that.

Do you think that the Megatat might be upgradable in the future to host more dragons ?
I doubt it, purely because if you look at the images of the megatat in-game, 15 dragons can hardly be seen on the habitat menu - their icons are much too small.
The new colossal island looks larger than its siblings. Does anyone have the dimensions? If not I can figure it out on my own. Thanks!
