By its nature, Aubergine is rifted - if you co-op / breed in the Vale, is that how you’d get a normal version?
eta : and should I be evolving two of every evolve dragons, as I hear the breeding rules are different?
Yes, that’s correct. If you breed Aubergine + Aubergine in the Vale, you can receive an untraited version. The evolve breeding rule requires both parents must be the target dragon. This is also the only way to acquire a pedestal (outside of a mystery egg).
If you collect regular and traited dragons and pedestals, the most economical approach is to evolve two traited versions of the same evolve dragon. Then you can breed them together for the traited pedestal, and move the dragons to the Vale to breed the regular dragon and pedestal.
Thank you!
Given most of the evolve dragons require level 20s - ouch. That's a lot of food!

Currently breeding for whatever twins I can possibly get my hands on
Can we breed khamsin and razor tail now? There is no hourglass for them at the dragonarium.
Looking at the Dragonarium, it would appear that they can now be bred. I would have expected them to be unavailable for another couple of days until the event ended.

Anyone need a dragon blue hearted? Send me a message or leave a message message here, I will check back in every couple of hours. I was lucky enough to breed every dragon, but not the rifted versions.

I didn't have twins of any of the choices for the final day's gift AFAIK (pretty sure, but not certain) so it didn't make a difference which one I got when I forgot to pick before bed yesterday, but it would be nice if there was something more than a small blurb buried in the event help panel or a removable countdown timer in the final tab of the social panel to signal "Hey it's the last day to progress/select stuff for the event, you might want to do something about that"... Maybe thematic fireworks around the event island? or a checkered flag on the island somewhere reasonably obvious (or on a corner of the current tracker icon), as a less graphically intensive option...

But we have a timer?
Am I missing something, or does the event island & gift disappear at the same time?

The last day to collect event currency and the event island departure occurs two days early (for this event, 6 December). Since the Savory Silo is on the event island, all prizes need to be claimed before it leaves. The in-game countdown timer is for the conclusion of the event (8 December).

No, not that one. Wasn't there a timer for time to collect currency? I'm asking if the end of that one is joined with departure of the island.

I’ve mentioned another timer or a pop-up notification again to Deca today. A pop-up notification would be much easier to implement. Backflip used to do this in the early years to inform players it’s the last day to collect event currency. Deca did this the last time the Runic Breeding Caves were in an event to tell players they had 24 hours to claim their eggs. Would a pop-up notification work for you?
It’s not as elaborate as a timer, but I think it’d be effective and the most probable solution (although there’s no guarantee it’ll happen).
In the meantime, if you don’t visit the Forum daily, then setting a reminder on your device to claim the event calendar prizes will likely be the best way forward.

There is no countdown timer for the last day to collect event currency.

I haven't looked for the last two event endings, but wasn't the currency countdown timer added because people kept forgetting when the event "really" ended?

Some sort of visual indicator that can't be cleared out weeks in advance (like the event timer under the Social panel) is really all I'm suggesting, so yes a pop-up would do just fine. I was just pondering options that were more thematic/integrated is all. :-) (I usually try to pick out which egg/dragon I want within a day or two of the last prize opening, but the last week or so here's been crazy and there was at least one day where my daily playing consisted of one round of the event games and a mass currency collection and that was it.)

Thank you! I managed (using Rift breeds to 20k 😅) to get two additional Leaf and two more Sprout so at least I can evolve them to Rifted Curly and Blotato respectively, as soon as the treat farms are ready. I only have the one Rifted Seed so am not sure if I should evolve that when I already have non Rifted of those two in my park already

Cheers! I will continue to work on the idea of a pop-up notification. They said it likely couldn’t be implemented for the next event, but maybe in the future. I’ll also suggest a reminder under the News tab, since that too would be easy to implement.

If you’re short on Spice but were planning on picking up some of the returning decorations, the Berry Patch, Bounteous Basket, and Pumpkin Pad are currently available in the regular Market, even though they’re limited decos and are in the event market.
Also, the treat decorations (Beanstalk Barrel, Berry Bauble Bowl, Blushroom Log, Cacti-snack Planter, Cube-tuber Bowl, Dragon Fruit Barrel, Dragon Root Planter, Dragon Snaps Planter, Fiery Figs Planter, Omega Squash Barrel, Jelly Plant Log, Jive Chive Planter, Kraken Kabbage Planter, Meta-carotene Planter, Nubbleberry Bowl, Pumpermelon Planter, Sarjin Pepper Barrel, Star Pods Bowl, Talontaters Bowl, Zazzberries Planter) are permanent decorations so they should be in the Market after the event.
