Holy Kairos. When I was just losing hope after many days of failing all week, traited Zero decided to grace its presence to me!
Is my luck coming back? Traited Ribbon didn't want to show up yet... I still needed to get that and traited Sleighbell and maybe pick Traited Dazzling from the final day gift.
Time to head to the Whine Lounge. I've been trying to breed a rifted Zero with no luck. Will bring Sangria, fresh fruit, a cheese plate and good music. Oh, and chocolate... can't forget that!
Same with me… no luck on the Zero, so, as it’s ending soon, I bought two.
Meet you in the lounge, I’ll bring Gewurtztraminer and my guitar…

Before claiming the final gift and the eggs from the RBC - does anyone want to share their opinion on what’s harder to achieve and why. Twins or rift trait?
Move over, Rudolph, Zumi is in the co-op with a sleigh full of presents and reindeer games. Koala-umi to all!
Zumi’s ice orb is pretty enormous at level 20. Similar to how it looks below. It floats above him like a snowball moon. It’s quite hilarious.
Breeding hint: SNOWBALL + KETU
Breeding/incubation time: 19 hours
Status: Limited tier, 10 days
Hidden elements: Zumi contributes cold, dark, air
Habitat: Ornamental
Breeding percentages: breeding hint 4.25%; social clone 1%
I was able to breed Zumi in the Rift in 5 attempts, but it was untraited — ugh! Don’t even get me started. Will be trying the rest of the week for a traited version.

Well shoot, I forgot to buy Zero at the last second before he left. And he was such a nice dragon too. Good design, very colorful and pretty. It's almost humourous in a way, because after all this time I was finally able to get Libretto from my glacial gifts. I've been wanting that one forever, and now whoopsie, I guess Zero has been added to the "things to collect" list.
But that's okay because I know he'll be back eventually. It gives me a goal that I can work torwards in the future. And in the meantime, I have a cute Libretto baby to play with and keep me company.
Zumi is just the cutest thing ever, by the way. I have enough currency. Tempted to buy this one early so I don't miss out again.

We share our physical lives with those in spirit. For life, like love, never dies. Love knows no limits, not even death.
So far, it looks like Zumi is the last dragon of the event. Zumi’s Rate a Dragon thread will be released on Wednesday, January 19th and all Season of Goodiness rating threads will remain open until the event concludes on January 26th.
EDIT: Deca has confirmed Zumi is the last dragon of the event.

I found some interesting history about the origin of candy canes, and it may explain Deca’s design for Chorister.
Candy canes first emerged in 17th century Europe. A common folkloric story claims a choirmaster in Cologne, Germany gave his choristers candy sticks to keep them quiet during the long Living Crèche (nativity scene) ceremony. To honour the occasion, the candy sticks were bent to resemble a shepherd’s crook.
Fast forward 350 years, in Berlin, Germany, Deca Games creates Chorister with striped candy cane colours and a crooked candy cane neck for the Xmas holidays!

I was able to breed an untraited Zumi in the Rift with a 16 Snowball and a 16 Ketu - also on the 5th try. Then I bred a traited Zumi with the same pair on my 9th try! 😲😲
I’ve released my 🐨🐨🐨🐨🐨🐨🐨 back into the wild! May their trip be quick and their success legendary!!!
Before claiming the final gift and the eggs from the RBC - does anyone want to share their opinion on what’s harder to achieve and why. Twins or rift trait?
Do you mean twin versus traited-twin? Or twin versus regular traited?
From mystery eggs, event rewards eggs, and the RBCs, you can receive a regular dragon (if you don’t own the dragon), a twin (if you own the dragon), and a traited-twin (if you own a twin). There’s no regular traited dragon. It’s by far more difficult to obtain a traited-twin, than a twin, because traited-twins can only be acquired through mystery eggs, rewards eggs, and RBCs. Whereas, twins can be bred.
If you’re asking to compare a regular traited dragon with a twin, that depends on the player and where they’re at in the game. Regular traited dragons can only be bred in the Rift. You cannot buy them or obtain them from mystery eggs. The only exceptions are the special limited mystery eggs for Monolith, Snowflake, Chrysalis, Galaxy, etc. If you don’t own the dragon, you can buy their special egg from the Rift Market and receive a regular traited version, because these eggs are specifically for the Rift, so all the dragons are traited; there’s no regular untraited dragons.
So if a player has a well-established Rift, it won’t be too difficult for them to acquire traited dragons, provided that Deca allows them to be breedable. If a player has a less established Rift, but a lot of gems, then acquiring twins will be easier, provided that they have friends willing to co-op with them, and most especially if Deca holds Twin Weekend regularly.

This is an amazing! Thank you for the history knowledge! TIL where candy canes came from and how it got in DV! 😃
Edit: I forgot to say how much I love your Sumi pfp! 😍

Yes, it’s fair to say Zero has been a stinker to breed. For me, Glitter as well!
I’ll probably buy a Zuni, too. He’s adorable!
I’m adding Snowball to the stinker list! ☺️

I’ve been trying and trying for Snowball in at least one cave for most of the event and an currently trying in both Island and cave - still no joy but lots of Olys! Half considering purchasing it so I can get started on Zumi (which is adorable)
In other news, I am delighted to announce the arrival of both Jamjam and Sleighbell to my park!

Same here. I thought it was the last dragon so started buying habitats and dragons I didn’t have. If this is as hard to breed as the last two…Zumba will not be in my Parks.

BagMom, it looks like the koalas that left your park headed directly over to mine! I was able to breed 2 traited Zumis in my Rift today. I used those 2 Zumis to breed a regular Zumi in a few tries. I also bred a second regular Zumi with my level 20 Snowball and Ketu on the second try. That's all the Zumis I need, though I might as well use my Co-op to try and breed a twin for the heck of it. It's not important to me to have twins of everything, but it's something to do!
I've released this wonderful band of 🐨🐨🐨🐨🐨🐨🐨 to hopefully rain good fortune upon someone else's park! Hopefully the bushels of tasty eucalyptus leaves that I gave them won't weigh them down!

I had a few koalas stop by my park, but they were a bit confused. I bred a Zumi in the rift with the second breed - but untraited. Please try again koalas. Another Zumi on the 8th breed, but another untraited one. In the Vale, both the social and the EBI have a Rainbow brewing. It is going to be a long week, if this is going to be a pattern.
Perhaps this is a stupid question, but can you evolve event dragons after the event ends? I've done a poor job considering my rift evolve dragons!
This is not a stupid question, it is a very good question. Yes, you can evolve dragons after an event ends - providing you meet whatever requirements needed. After an event it will cost 100 gems.
