Does anyone have any spare koalas that I could borrow? I cannot breed an Astraline. I've checked the breeding hint to make sure that I'm breeding the correct flower dragon - I have cloned enough Petunias that I'm breeding in all 3 caves plus the rift. Still nothing. I'm not desperate yet, but some koalas would be very welcome.

Hey grandpakenny. We are now friends and I have 💙ed my Lightmare dragon. Thanks for your offer as well. I'm currently just working on getting a twin Astraline. There's nothing that I really need, and I don't even care that much about twins. It's just something to do. If I can use your help on something, I'll let you know.

I have had very poor luck this event. Eggy Hatchy is not my thing so rose accumulation is slow. Also, it took a lot of speed breeding to get buttercup and lumineux. Lullaby and lightmare are completely ignoring any attempts at luring them to my park. I have gone through around 3000 gems speed breeding for lightmare but so far not a trace of the little beauty.. The only 24 hour timers I get are surprises. Which is both a terrible surprise and really at this point not much of a surprise at all. Astraline is a no show as well. I will continue to throw gems trying to breed lightmare for a short while longer but if I don't have any luck I think I will readjust my expectations. I might be happier if I play a smaller, tighter game. It could be a smarter choice to not speed breed at all. Just do it naturally so to speak. That way I won't deplete my gem stash and I won't be so disappointed because I've spent a huge amount of gems and I still didn't get the dragon. I will learn to be happy with what I can get just letting the breeds finish naturally and then see what I can afford to purchase with event currency. If I think about it I'm really in no hurry to acquire everything. It's just that I have developed a way of playing that has me frenetically attempting to get everything that is available for every event. It is exhausting and so frustrating, as well as disappointing, when I am not successful as with this particular event. It is in my best interest to change the way I play. I need to relax and just settle for what i can get playing a small tight game. I think it will work for me. And I won't burn out and wander away from the game. I would hate for that to happen. But I think this adjustment will straighten my game playing out. Also I plan to be more grateful for everything that I do get. Between playing a more frugal type of game and focusing a bit on gratitude all should be well in my Dragonvale universe.

So sorry to hear that, and I know what you mean. I think adopting your new strategy will certainly allow you to enjoy the game more and feel happier and more satisfied.
I have been playing DV since May of 2011. I just play the game as it comes and breed the dragons accordingly. I hardly use any gems to speed up; and I have acquired all the dragons, given not all are traited. I don’t collect twins either, but have learned that without a twin, I won’t be rewarded with a rift version, so will keep them when they come. But I don’t deliberately breed them (unless I need a twin to get the rift version from the runic cave). And I don’t mind the twin rifted either. In all the events, I was able to either breed or buy all the dragons of that event (again, not all are traited), and have currency to spare. So it can be done, if you are not a “perfectionist”. I look at this game as my relaxation, and when I adopt a more patient and carefree attitude, I am able to take the time to examine the dragons and discover the beauty and magic within them.
Wishing you all the 🐨🐨🐨 and happiness in your vale. And of course you can always visit the 🍷 lounge. 💐💐

24 hour timer in the co-op. It's a real surprise because it's not a surprise at all. It's a lightmare. I guess such an elaborate lengthy whine could not be ignored. I still need to ratchet down a notch or two though. Too intense. I need to take time to smell the dragons.

Awww thanks.
Your kindness and generosity of spirit is legendary. Equally compelling are your tireless efforts to improve the experience on these boards in so many ways not to mention your relationship with Deca, mediating when and where you can regarding the game itself.
We are so lucky to have you on these boards.
All the staff and moderators here are amazing and I am grateful for each and every one of you.
And I have learned so much from the people who come here and post about their game and to help others with their knowledge and experience. For me Dragonvale and the Dragonvale community Forum are irrevocably entwined.

I am very happy to share the Koalas who have been playing in my vale! They are Regular Koalas who like to attract regular dragons. I have one Rifty Koala running around somewhere, but it’s very shy and doesn’t play well with dragons. 🙄 My Vale does not however, have any Twin Koalas, only seen one this whole event😳, who must have been just passing through and needed an Airbnb for the night.🤷🏻♀️

Thank you for this lovely post. I really enjoyed reading it. Very good advice that I intend to heed. Just reading it was relaxing. I want to take the time to discover the beauty and magic of my dragons.
I'm not sure when I started playing DV but I joined this group in Jan of 2015. There were a couple of times when I had all the dragons but I don't at the moment and it's been awhile since I did. I do try to get twins and rift versions when I can. Pedestals too. But I don't try that hard. The only thing I try very hard to do is get one of every dragon. But I won't uses wishes on them. And I do have a few wishes but I horde them. And I horde gems, although I spent quite a few this event to speed breed. Not sure what I'm saving this stuff for. A rainy day in my DV universe maybe? I don't know. I just feel better when I have some wishes and a stockpile of gems. So I shouldn't complain if I don't have every dragon because I could just wish for it. Also I generally prioritize habitats and islands over dragons so when I can get habitats for event currency I'm all over that. And this event has a lot of habitats available so that's where I want to spend my roses. So really it's all choices I'm making and nothing is happening to me. As long as I keep that in perspective I shouldn't have problems doing without a dragon or two. I'm just going to relax and enjoy playing my game my way and my embrace my choices. It's all good.

LynnMarie - thank you so much for sharing your koalas. ❤️️ A Regular Koala visited my park today - he did get a little bit lost as he ended up in the rift but he had a regular Astraline with him. Your shy, Rifty Koala visited my other park and brought a rift Astraline with him.
I haven't seen any Twin Koalas in my parks, I think that they are very rare or it could be I'm not tempting them with the right food for them to visit.
I will feed your koalas and give them a rest before sending them back to you in time for the new release tomorrow.
Before leaving the Vale, Gardenia made one last stop to MESMER’s lair with the Scorn dragon. 'Mesmer, all the dragons’ hearts are singing, but Scorn cannot find a tune' pleaded Gardenia. Mesmer peered at the contemptuous Scorn and pulled a small Hypnotic dragon from his coat pocket. Immediately, Scorn was mesmerised. 'Whatever causes you derision, you can walk back and forget it behind you,' said Mesmer. Scorn slowly turned from growling and galled green to mannered and mellow mauve.
For more on Franz Mesmer and mesmerism outside the Vale, here’s a link.
Mesmer has everyone entranced at the co-op. Take a break from your troubles and fall into those eyes. Also, baby Mesmer looks like a koala!
Breeding hint: MASQUE + SCORN
Status: Limited tier, 10 days
Breeding/incubation time: 30 hours
Hidden elements: Mesmer contributes lightning, earth, fire, cold, plant, air
Breeding odds: 3%; social 1%
Habitat: Aura
I got extremely lucky and bred Mesmer on the second attempt in the Rift (Masque and Scorn both at level 20). But it wasn’t traited (tears). So more work ahead.

This is just a Fursona. Also, it's yet another pure Aura where Dream is literary right there. Don't know what's with DECA and being too persistent with Auras. If you love Auras. Why don't you go marry them.
I'm gonna buy it and just shove it in the hibernation cave.
Got the new mesmer dragon rifted and in co op. For the record, although I like the egg design, I don’t have the words to describe how atrocious/unique I think this dragon looks. Is it supposed to be similar to the hypnotic dragon? Again this is my personal opinion, but I don’t like it
