I think the baby is awfully cute. It looks like its dressed up and ready to go to a costume party. I think it's adorable. The adult isn't bad either. However, I think a breeding pair of Masque and Psyche would make more sense.

Got the new mesmer dragon rifted and in co op. For the record, although I like the egg design, I don’t have the words to describe how atrocious/unique I think this dragon looks. Is it supposed to be similar to the hypnotic dragon? Again this is my personal opinion, but I don’t like it
Mesmer isn’t my favorite either. I’ll probably put it in the fountain of youth. It’s based on Franz Mesmer whose theories were controversial but hypnotism is based on mesmerism. There’s a link to Mesmer in this post vvBefore leaving the Vale, Gardenia made one last stop to MESMER’s lair with the Scorn dragon. 'Mesmer, all the dragons’ hearts are singing, but Scorn cannot find a tune' pleaded Gardenia. Mesmer peered at the contemptuous Scorn and pulled a small Hypnotic dragon from his coat pocket. Immediately, Scorn was mesmerised. 'Whatever causes you derision, you can walk back and forget it behind you,' said Mesmer. Scorn slowly turned from growling and galled green to mannered and mellow mauve.

Mesmer has everyone entranced at the co-op. Take a break from your troubles and fall into those eyes. Also, baby Mesmer looks like a koala!
Breeding hint: MASQUE + SCORN
Status: Limited tier, 10 days
Breeding/incubation time: 30 hours
Hidden elements: Mesmer contributes lightning, earth, fire, cold, plant, air
Breeding odds: 3%; social 1%
Habitat: Aura
I got extremely lucky and bred Mesmer on the second attempt in the Rift (Masque and Scorn both at level 20). But it wasn’t traited (tears). So more work ahead.

Mesmer definitely looks like an offspring of Psyche. I think Mesmer’s breeding combo should’ve been PSYCHE + HYPNOTIC. It seems so wrong to not have Hypnotic involved.

I would just like to say thanks to Fletch and Adlerist. I managed to breed Mesmer first go in the Coop using Cactus. Quite shocked really, considering my abysmal lack of success in breeding Masque in the rift. I thought I would end up having to buy this dragon.

It's bad enough when you're trying for a new dragon and you get a long fail. But when you're trying for Mesmer, and instead of a one day six hour timer you get a one day FIVE hour timer... 😭
I was so close! Why did it have to be off by one hour?

I've managed to breed several Mesmers in the rift with earth, plant and fire traits. However when I go to the Dragonarium and make the Mesmer maximum age, the traits are really undetectable! Did they perhaps forget to do them?

First try on cloning Mesmer gave me the right timer. Again, I’m hoping for a twin with adlerist 😊

Once I realized Mesmer was a Mardi Gra dragon, I understood the design of it better and like it more.
Now if I could only breed one. Maybe Fat Tuesday will be the trick for me.
