The wonderfully talented Shandee created the Nightlight dragon for Deca’s Community Design Contest. Deca Games gave Nightlight a home in the Vale as the Lumineux dragon.

1. 5 2. 5 3. 4 4. 4 5. 4 (would have been 5 if original details were included) 6. 4 7. 5 8. This is a favorite dragon of mine already. I do wish the egg design and name kept to the original. I like Night Light a lot. I love the different sizes and have all 3 different versions in my park together along with an extra tiny level 1 baby as well just for a smaller size. I think Love + Shield would have been a good combo.
1. Animation: 5, I really like how it wraps its wings to form a glowing circle.

5. Design details: 5, love its colors and the patterns on the wings and body
6. How would you rate Lumineux’s breeding combo (LOVE + Dream element): 4.5, now that the combo has changed, I am giving it 4.5 instead of 5, because I think it will be more difficult to breed having to use a dream element dragon. Although the combo makes sense.

8. Comments: this is probably my favorite dragon of this event! The baby is so cute too, and how it grows up to be so elegant! I also like the original nightlight a lot!

6. Okay. 5 4.5. Makes sense but now I can't just limit it to only four elements... Plus. Why remove Light?

8. Should be more than a rare. Dream/Light/Fire makes more sense. Letting you know, adding Dream should not make auto-make that dragon a psuedo. Also, removing Light does not make sense at all. Remember Gargoyle? It needs Trick and a Monolith but yet lacks Fire and Plant or Monolith.
Also, I now have an illegal Lumineux ped thanks o it being epic.
1. Animation: 4 My only complaints are that I wish she did a bit more and I wish she had a night form where she glowed.

3. Price (10,500 Roses): 5 This is a very appropriate price given all the habitats and new dragons available

5. Design details: 5 Honestly, I would have loved a direct conversion of Nightlight into Lumineux, but the changes Deca made are just fine. I miss Nightlight's nose and pointy front legs. Lumineux's horns are very beautiful and I really like the addition of the wing squiggle. The theme of diamonds, large horns and glowing eyes between Lumineux and Lightmare (and Astraline's horns) gives the event cohesion.
6. Combo (LOVE + light + fire): 4 I guess I was expecting dark in there... but it makes sense she's keeping the dark away with love, light and fire.
7. How much do you like Lumineux?: 5
8. Comments: I love Lumineux. Almost as much as Nightlight. Kudos to Shandzii for such a beautiful design! So happy to have this dragon in the game. I can't wait to see where her trait placement is. The egg is gorgeous too.
3. Price: 4 This would've been a fine price for a newbie if there weren't 4 of them
4. How well does Lumineux fit the theme: 5 A lovely nightlight guardian fits the idea of having sweet dreams well!
5. Design details: 5 The pattern on the inside and outside of the wings, the dragon's horns, and the dragons serpent body have a ton of lovely details! However it's also well balanced and doesn't feel overly detailed!
6. How would you rate Lumineux’s breeding combo: 3 Easy combo, which is nice, but I don't exactly see how Love relates to Lumineux. Also gotta knock off points for the redundant fire element.
7. How much do you like Lumineux: 4 So close to being a favorite of this event! If its animations were a bit less stilted and wasn't a rare with a rather generic element combination then it'd easily be a new favorite!

Lumineux 1. 3/5 I think it deserves to be more animated. 2. 4/5 I think it deserves to be bigger! 3. 3/4 Bit pricey. 4. 5/5 Would definitely give me sweet dreams. 5. 4/5 Really lovely original design 👏 & Deca have done a great job with it. Fabulous colouring. Only quibble, I prefer the pointed arms (legs?) of the original. 6. 4/5 Light & fire make perfect sense but unsure about Love. 7. 5/5 Was going to knock a mark off for the arms/legs but I’m letting it go! 8. Should definitely have Dream in the mix.
Great that Dream now is in the mix! Will keep my no.6 rating at 4/5

I love this dragon and I love the idea of a Group Hug – it is comforting just like a nightlight. I would really have liked Lumineux to have a day and a night form. Great design and a nice size - fits well in the habitat. Love is already used as a parent for five other dragons and I don’t think it fits for Lumineux.
Congratulations to Shandee for the original inspiration for Lumineux and getting her dragon included in the game. Deca did a great job without changing too much.

I'm not as bothered with Lumineux losing its dream element from its original inspiration as I am with Lightmare, but it still would've been cool if it kept the Dream/Light/Dark element combo.
