Edit the 2nd: Also, other event decorations. It seems a little random. So just click on a decoration you want more of, and maybe you'll be in luck.

You can only get a Rift version of a Galaxy dragon from the Galaxy mystery eggs. Same with all the other Galaxy dragons. It’s a BIG problem that DECA needs to change. Lots of players are using the Vote for the Top Dragon poll/thread to complain about it. I really like the idea of no dupes if you already have the dragon. The eggs get more expensive with each one you buy. I think they max out at 225,000 etherium. We need to not get Rift dupes.
I was afraid this was going to be the answer to my question. This does need to be changed. I very rarely purchase an egg; I seem to need every bit of erethrium for rift breeding.
You need to (realistically) wait until an event comes around offering it as a login reward pick. The player may need to do this up to three times (basic, twin, twin rifted).
In my opinion, the rift breedable Solis should have been chosen as the breeding parent. However, I suspect DECA fancies hard to obtain dragons sometimes. We can only complain in the Ariesian rating thread 😞

In a gravitational force, Gravity dropped away from the rest, and left Aquarian, Pisceian, and Taurian, orbiting for second. Pisceian took an early lead and was swimming strong, but in the final days, Aquarian managed to take home the silver.
And members who rated all the dragons for two consecutive events for the first time, also received the DragonVale Community Forum’s mascot — Lucky Koala. Bonus koala luck!
