Why is the new dragon called Nature? Denatured would have fit the description much better.
Now that you mention it, you're right, "Denatured" Dragon would have been much better, as it's not in its original form.
It's like an enzyme-the dragon had a specific appearance in its original habitat, but when it moved to the cold north, its form broke down into what we see now.

Possibly because of the idea that it (as in nature) still carries on besides the fact it had to adapt? And that it looks different but is ultimately the same dragon.
Nature is a beautiful dragon. I don't know if anyone else is thinking this, but looking at the design and reading her story has me thinking of the Elves from Lord of the Rings. Specifically Galadriel, which is what I named my Nature dragon (thanks for sharing, amos ).
Doesn't this dragon look like Galadriel? It's been a while since I watched the movies or read the books, but I remember tales of Elves leaving their homelands as the world grew darker and more dangerous. I also remember something that was said about Lady Galadriel, or maybe it was her dialogue. The quote I'm thinking of came from the movie and it was something like, "Terrible and beautiful like the dawn." That's kind of how Nature is described, "Still beautiful, but in a harsh way."
So yeah, I'm thinking this one is Galadriel in dragon form. Or that's how it looks to me anyway.
EDIT: I did some digging and found the actual quote, from Galadriel herself - "Instead of a Dark Lord, you would have a queen, not dark but beautiful and terrible as the dawn! Tempestuous as the sea, and stronger than the foundations of the earth! All shall love me and despair!"

I wish Deca had turned the backstory around so the Nature dragon had started out completely frozen, been driven to a warmer climate, then slowly transformed into the dragon we see now. It would have put a more positive spin on the story. But that’s just me.

Isn't strength in the face of adversity something positive?
I personally think Nature's description is a bitter-sweet tale of overcoming difficulty. Maybe it's not the most suited to DragonVale itself? But beautiful nonetheless in my opinion.
Remember yesterday when I mentioned that I wanted to re-create a fan representation of what Nature may have looked like before it moved? Well, I did it.
It took a couple of hours to draw it on paper (I can't design something digitally for the life of me). I haven't given it any color yet, but here's how it turned out.
The little spikes on its back and tail are supposed to be leaves. I figured it would be best as an evolution dragon as it is a restored form of nature.

You're an amazing artist 😊
I think it would be cool (or... not cool? 😂) if we could evolve the wintry Nature into this dragon

I think it would be better for the dragon to be evolved as it is an ancestor of the nature dragon. Even though players don't like the idea of a new evolution dragon all that much (ten more decorations).
The Original One is in all things. The Original One is nowhere at all. From all creations, over all creations, does Arceus watch over all.

Ah! I thought by 'Butterflies of Restoration' you meant we'd be restoring the Nature dragon! But from old to new makes the most sense.

This is beautiful Arceus. So well thought out and designed! I'm not a fan of evolving a dragon, but I can see how it could fit with Nature to restore her to her former glory. Not all evolution dragons require 10 decorations (thinking about room to put them) - perhaps there would need to be a butterfly pavilion in the park and a flower decoration? Nature could be a winter dragon and Envireal a spring or summer dragon.

I mentioned the same thing to @metaphoricalrobin. I am also not the greatest fan of evolving a dragon, but a dragon based on nature's original form would be best obtained via evolution. I do agree with the butterfly pavilion, or there could just one butterfly of restoration instead of every color.

K5WC is a winter miracle, twining a new release within an hour of its release — again!
Many cheers, k5wc! You will need to share your twinning secrets and powers with us one day. In the meantime, I’ve sent glittery gems and gingerbread treats to your Vale in great awe and appreciated!

Yes, that’s correct. If you clone Nature with Reminiscence, you’ll receive both the breeding and cloning percentages.
This just worked for me! I LOVE this dragon!
I’m so pleased it worked, mishkasmom! It’s not always possible, but if we’re lucky enough to simultaneously breed and clone a dragon, we’re rewarded with both percentages. So for Nature, the breeding percentage is 2.2%, and the cloning percentage is 10%. By both breeding and cloning it with Reminiscence + Nature (cold, air), the percentage is 12.2, so it’ll be the best pair.
Many cheers to the brillant Quil for figuring all this out! If you’re ever not sure about which dragons to use, check out Quil’s Compendium. Enter both breeding parents and the target dragon to see the breeding outcomes and percentages.

Nature to me looks like a cross between Mesmer and masque.
When I saw Nature, I immediately thought of Masque with a hint of Buttercup. Its egg is very Buttercup-ish. I would not be surprised if the same artist created these dragons. Nature definitely evokes a buttery Masque.

I can definitely see the Buttercup in Nature. I can't see the Mesmer or Masque as well, but I don't have any of the dragons yet so I only have the wiki to judge 😅

I mostly see the mesmer part of it, as its head and horns follow a similar pattern.

Reminiscence and Nature worked for me too. 😊 Now, if only Nature with a trait would come so quickly! 😊
I used longcicle with reminiscence in the rift because, like adlerist, I needed more rift traits for it and it was already a level 20. Got a traited nature on my fourth try.
7 days, one login and DECA being no help later, it's official. Your parks may self destruct and effectively lock you out permanently at any moment. There is no saving it after.
I've been through 5 devices and roughly a hundred loading attempts. It worked exactly once. May this happen to as few people as possible, but once again, seeing the appstore reviews... I am not optimistic. This is my final warning to not invest any more money and to prepare yourselves for the eventual loss. Goodbye.
No, when you find/get a device that Dragonvale does run on, DECA is a great help at getting the park ported over the one that automatically creates. Does require a ticket because it didn’t automagically find my old park, but a little info for them and I was off and running. They are making great strides to keep a very large custom legacy platform working.
(sorry, not event related).
lisgie I use my wish list to identify missing rift dragons, it works beautifully for this!

I'm not entirely sure how this is related to the original comment.
