DV communities everywhere, far and beyond, owe much gratitude to Fletch for his dedication and passion.

Although not a particularly active member on here, I can’t read this & not comment. How very, very sad. From his posts you knew what a genuine & likeable man he was. I remember years ago when the monthly gem dragons were released, rushing on here to find out if Fletch had worked out the breeding combination. He always had of course.
Condolences to those of you who knew him better. RIP Fletch.

That's sad to hear. Fletch_smf was one of the most dedicated helpers on the Forum.

My heart is beyond broken this morning, having to say goodbye to such a special person in my life. There are so many early memories when we were first getting the board off the ground, to trying to maintain the original concept created by Poppy. He cared so deeply for his family, we shared stories as our children grew old enough to leave home and start their adult lives. He was always there to fix my mistakes, always starting the conversation with “Sweetie”. He was a kind human with a great sense of humor. He will be greatly missed.

My english is not so good so I can’t express all that I feel; when I saw the forum in black I immediately thought that a great misfortune had happened… I’m terribly shocked to learn that he is not anymore with us ☹️☹️☹️

Our DragonVale community, and the world, are diminished in his passing. While I did not know him personally, his generosity and passion for the game were a benefit to us all. My deepest condolences to his friends and family. Rest In Peace, brother Fletch_smf! 😢

This is such shocking and sad news! My deepest sympathy and condolences to Fletch’s family and friends. He had been a wonderful and generous contributor to this forum, and he was one of the long time original DV players. Although I don’t know him personally, I have always enjoyed and depended on his posts, tips, strategies, etc…He will be sorely missed. Fletch, may you Rest in Peace. 💐

Shane will truly be missed by so many. He was always so helpful, patient and kind. Although I can read the files myself, I always liked seeing his thoughts on the odds and suggestions of the dragon combos. His charts on the early days of eggy hatchy were amazing. He worked on so much for the forum behind the scenes and posting thru the years. He has helped so many dragonvale players out. The game and the forum were enriched by having him. My thoughts are with his family and friends as well as his many online friends.

I am surprised when I think how much I will miss Fletch and his posts, considering I never met him and didn't even know his real name. He really did touch so many people, all over the world, in our virtual but very real community.

I always thought Fletch would outlive me. His memory sure will. I have a hard time believing that DragonVale or this forum will go on without him. My sympathies to his family. He was a very good person.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Fletch's passing. He has been a stalwart of this forum - always ready with a quip or handy advice. Sometimes divisive but always informative, he will be very missed. My heart goes out to his family as they have a huge hole in their lives, a hole that is in a small way replicated on this forum. Rest in peace Fletch_smf, we will miss you

I rarely post these days but I have been ‘around’ almost since the beginning of DV and Fletch was a beacon of light that we would cone to for the latest advice when BF introduced anything new. I am so very sad to hear the world has lost such a wonderful soul - Fletch you will be missed but never forgotten.

Didn’t know him other than he was a fine contributor.

I think a lot of us think of DV as a place where we can escape real life, if just for a little while… guess not.

My sympathies to his family…
