So I looked back at the first page and the post that said gardenia came back 12 hours after you collect her is gone. But the ways to collect roses picture is from last year and still needs updated to show this year’s locations (like the produce of love 😉). I’m not being critical adlerist, you do so much wonderful work for all of us and you get it done so fast. Just trying to help.

Lisgie, I updated that post two hours after the event started and 12 hours before you posted. The first page of the event thread is regularly updated, so revisiting it is advised.
Everybody, the post that has the various ways to collect event currency is never going to be totally up to date when the event thread is released. For this to happen, the thread would not be available until several hours after the event started, and that would be disruptive to players.
In the past, I’ve posted in large bold font that the post is under construction, but players still commented that it wasn’t accurate. I’ve considered removing the post altogether, but I didn’t think that’d be helpful.
Since the event thread is now posted in many different DV communities, delaying its release is not an option. I can eliminate the post, then later in the event when the NPCs are confirmed, it can be posted on the event thread. It will no longer be on the first page.
I understand you’re trying to help, Lisgie, and I’m certainly not upset at you. But this has been an ongoing issue, and I don’t see any way to resolve it unless the post is removed from the first page.

I honestly wish that the Aura Habitats can still be purchased in the normal Market... I am officially out of habitat space and need to buy more if I want to hold any more Aura dragons.
Thing is, I don't want to use my roses on the habitats in the event market, especially with them being 2,200 per habitat. Since I have three returning dragons I have yet to obtain (those being Entwined, Canvas and Mesmer), as well as two brand-new epic dragons, I will likely end up spending my roses on those. Besides, I am planning on using the spare roses to get as many Omnitats as I can, like I did during Frostivale Yulebration.
As a result of that, and the fact that I usually earn ~15 gems per day, I have been wanting to purchase Aura Habitats from the regular market rather than with Roses.

Haven't seen anyone here share these cute new visitors 😄
It's all over the subreddit 😂
I love the fact that they just quietly added them. A bunch of other companies would have done something similar, specifically in June, and made a massive thing of it
Another one of one games released a related item, also without comment. It’s the stealth approach 😂
I started DragonVale as a collector, became a decorator, and then added being a Visual Storyteller. For co-op friending my ID is GKVale # 4024

Definitely agree. Last event I wanted both ornamental and surface habitats but had loads of spare gems and no spare EC. I don't understand why they remove them from the main market. I realise it's probably to force you to spend EC, but people are just going to wait if they're desperate not to, so it's not like making it a shorter time to wait is going to make anything significantly easier. If people don't have space during the event they'll use spare omnitat spaces or the hibernation cave.
When you have finished the Eggy Hatchy towers and your tickets are back to 5, don't forget to watch a 'vision' (ad) to receive another ticket. It will give you a head start the next day. 😉

Removing content from the Market when it’s in an event was a strategy Backflip implemented many years ago. Deca has continued on with it. There’s several reasons why the items are pulled: it prevents the Market from competing with the event market; it encourages players to use event currency, which can increase in-app purchases; and it helps players who don’t have a lot of gems, by allowing them to buy the habitats with EC once a year. It’s unlikely Deca will change this anytime soon.

This is four twins, right? Two Prickles and two Fluffs — quadruple the love. Thank you so very much, NinjaKiwi. — you are absolutely amazing! Gems and treats are in the mail. 💕💌💕

Thinking that there's a pair of dragons, I would say it's two twins, though it's a good question.
And, if they are two twins, wouldn't that also mean that a twin entwined, andromedan, pisciean, ponkipong, etc. have four twins? And the Brood Dragon... all of its babies would count as twins.
Also, that makes me wonder... would Amalgamate have four twins? It's similar to the others yet different as they are conjoined.

Thanks for explaining 😊
I figured it would be to do with making you spend/buy EC, and I wasn't suggesting that they shouldn't appear in events, I just meant both should happen at the same time. But I get that it probably won't change.
(Sorry for seemingly random formatting, I was trying to link what I was saying to what you said and I'm still trying to get my head around how the forum works, as shown by the absolute mutilation of the poor quote box... How do you highlight quotes in yellow like you sometimes do?)

Sadly, highlighting isn’t an easy button, like bold and italic. You have to add the code in the BBCode tab. This is the code.
[span style="background-color: #ffff00"]highlighted text[/span] #ffff00 is the HEX colour of the highlight. This one is yellow. Since I change the Forum’s theme with every event, sometimes I have to adjust the highlight colour, because it’ll bleach out the text. You can be sure it looks okay by switching to the Preview tab before posting.

Has the possibility of changing the amount it costs to upgrade a habitat like the omnitat ever been brought up to DECA? I'd like to upgrade mine to the large, but it doesn't make sense for them to charge the same amount of event currency whether upgrading or buying outright. It would be awesome if it was just the difference between them.
New temporary arrangement in place until next year. I like it more than the one I've had before. I'll certainly have to dig it up sooner or later, though.
Following are Compendium social cloning stats for the new market dragons. Fletch used to provide this information. Please feel free to double-check my numbers.
The Divi dragon comes with a 10 percent chance of being socially cloned and includes the plant, earth, air, and light elements. The Wind dragon provides the shortest average fail time of 12 hours 28 minutes and 7 attempts will get you to the 50 percent success threshold. The Forest, Pollen, Sand, Sandstorm, and Snootroot dragons are good alternatives at the expense of slightly longer average fail times.
The PrickleFluff dragon also comes with a 10 percent chance of being socially cloned and includes the fire, cold, air, and light elements. The Wind dragon again provides the shortest average fail time of 14 hours 18 minutes and 7 attempts are required to reach the 50 percent success threshold. The Blazing, Ember, Inferno, and Snow dragons are alternatives with somewhat longer average fail times.
The Classical dragon comes with a dissonant 1.5 percent social cloning chance and includes the plant, fire, earth, air, and metal elements. The Flower and Poison dragons provide the shortest average fail times of 13 hours 36 minutes with 46 attempts needed to reach the 50 percent success threshold.
The Brutiful dragon comes with a paltry one percent chance of being socially cloned and includes plant, fire, earth, cold, lightning, air, and metal elements. The Flower dragon provides the shortest average fail time of 15 hours 47 minutes and a whopping 70 attempts are required to reach the 50 percent success threshold. These numbers are just brutal, not brutiful. The Cactus and Poison dragons are good alternatives, though both have average fail times that are 9 minutes longer than Flower - negligible in the context of 16 hour average fail times.
Thank you to Quil and everyone who helped bring the Compendium into existence. It is a fantastic resource.

Though I also dislike the feature, I think the reason why it costs the same to upgrade is because the cost to upgrade a habitat has always been equal to the price of the upgraded habitat in the Market.
For example, the Aura Habitat costs 35 gems and the Large Aura Habitat costs 75 gems in the Market, which is why it takes 75 gems to upgrade a regular Aura Habitat to a Large Aura Habitat.
Or the upgrade cost from a Large primary habitat to a Giant Primary Habitat is 25 gems, even though it is the same price in the market, and you can effectively sell it to get back some of that money you paid to build the large habitat.
Habitats from the Event market are the same, except they need the cost to purchase them with event currency rather than gems.

Alderist, thank you!! Got the pricklefluff on the first attempt. Wasn’t a twin but I got it at least. Now level 16 in co op
I haven't got pricklefluff yet Hopefully my luck turns around soon.
