Deca Games has developed a series of questions to gather feedback from players regarding their new event dragons. To capture an accurate account of players’ assessments, Rate a Dragon threads are created for each new dragon. These threads will be available approximately one to four weeks after a dragon’s release to allow players some time to breed the dragon and admire its fine qualities.
The Rate a Dragon threads will remain unlocked until the event concludes on March 15th. At the end of the event, your ratings and comments will be passed on to the Deca DragonVale Team.
Please take a minute to rate the Lovely Doubly dragons from 1-5 for each category. You can either post your feedback on this thread or message me. Thank you for participating, sharing your thoughts, and making this game even better with each dragon.

1. Animation 2 The day version is really lacking. The night version makes up for it somewhat but not completely. There's a part of the night version's animation where it lies down as if sad, which makes me think it's searching for its other half and is sad that it hasn't found it - something like this with the day version would have made me like its animation more. (Split points: 1 for day and 3 for night)
2. Rift trait 4 I compared and the traits actually don't cover the colour opposites of the dragon, which is good, but like Nomnoter this is another case where depending on the trait it can really not work well. (4 points for both)
3. Size (if you don’t own Lovonone, please check a friend’s park) 2 The day version is big, but it's tiny compared to the night version. The night version takes up the whole habitat! (Split points: 3 for day and 1 for night)
4. Price (13,000 Roses) 1 It does deserve it but they really should have toned down the expensive dragons this event because of how many unbreedables were released.
5. How well does Lovonone fit the theme of the event 3 The yin-yang connection that adlerist pointed out relates it slightly to the Beauty and the Beast theme, but not completely, and that connection is only there if you happen to realise the yin-yang connection. Yes, it's clearly related to love, but this event has been leaning more towards the Beauty and the Beast theme than the overarching theme of love/Valentine's.
6. Design details 5 overall. (Split points: 5 for day and 4 for night - I'm not a massive fan of the night version's claws)
7. How would you rate Lovonone’s breeding combo (CUPIDO + SCORN) 2 While I do think Cupido + Scorn would have made more sense for Lovesick than its combo, I do think it somewhat fits here too (although something with Misfortune might have worked better; perhaps Misfortune + Melancholy/Entwined). However, Cupido is very hard to get and Scorn has both combo and cloning odds when used in breeding since its own combo is element-only, and it has a long fail time, hence the low score.
8. How much do you like Lovonone (1 = I hate it, 5 = I love it!) 5 Such a sad but beautiful story. And a day/night changer too! Thanks to adlerist for pointing out the yin-yang connection
Comments: I really like this dragon, and I think it's a cool and unique version of the dragons with two dragons (e.g. Pricklefluff, Ponkipong, Entwined etc.). I do think it's sad that you can't have both versions in the same park at the same time, but I realise that's the point.

Trait: 2/5 Also needs more, especially for the night form.
Size: 3/5 A bit too big.
Price: 4/5 Pretty reasonable. Unfortunately the amount of strating dragons this event makes it more difficult to save up for.
Theme: 2/5 In all honesty, I just think it's backstory is the only thing that aligns with the theme. Both forms look like something out of a Star Fall event-it looks much more like a Galaxy element dragon.
Design: 2/5 Dislike how the night form is much different looking compared to the day form. Saying that it was the product of two wizards, they should be nearly identical, except for the colour scheme.
Combo: 1/5 It doesn't fit the dragon, and Cupido is a painful parent to even breed. On top of that, it's breed % is abysmally low, making most players (myself included) having to buy it.
Preference: 3/5 The night form takes away from the dragon.

Comments / feedback for Deca - Great designs, however that breeding combo was horrible due to many fails being long. Low breeding chance didn't help either.

Comments / feedback for Deca: It took me a few days to realize that I was mistakenly calling this dragon “Lovenone”, given its story of not being able to be with his/her loved one. 😢. I was typing Lovenone to search for the dragon and it never came up. Finally I saw that it is Lovonone..😅
1. 3/5 A little dull. 2. 5/5 Really like the placement on both day & night versions. Wish I’d been able to breed one. 3. 4/5 Could be mistaken but I think the night one is a little smaller than day & about right for my taste. 4. 3/5 Too expensive. 5. 4/5 Works with the backstory (if a little bleak). 6. 4/5 Both quite simple but effective. 7. 3/5 Cupido is a really difficult breed. Super annoyed as I claimed one with a trait from the Runic Caves thinking it would come in handy but still failed to breed Lovonone in the rift. My score may reflect this..🙃 8. 4/5 As with Brutiful, I prefer the night version but would rather have my park set to day 🤷♀️

6. Design details: 5/5 I love the two versions and how they’re not overly detailed. The simplicity really fits the meaning of these dragons.
7. How would you rate Lovonone’s breeding combo (CUPIDO + SCORN): 3/5 The breeding combo is really difficult with lots of long fails. It made this dragon difficult to breed.

Comments / feedback for Deca: This dragon is really interesting. It’s not cute, so some may not like it, but I really appreciate that the Valentine’s event wasn’t filled with adorable, fluffy, heart-shaped, dragons with roses. I like how the dragons are diverse and show the other side of love, like the darker night versions of Lovonone and Brutiful.
Really adore the glowing halo behind the day version of Lovonone, and the glowing fairy lights on night Lovonone.

Cupido is challenging to breed, so if you didn’t obtain it last year, or a Rift version for a traited Lovonone, it would be difficult to breed Lovonone this year. Scorn is a frequent and very long breeding fail for the Valentine’s event. It has an extremely high breeding and cloning percentage. Deca really likes using Scorn in breeding combos, but I’d suggest refraining from Scorn, because it’s far too easy to clone and has a ridiculously long 44 hour breeding fail.

I love how the night version of Lovonone becomes the Yin (dark side of Taijitu) and she walks on her front limbs. And the daytime version is reversed. He becomes the Yang (light side of Taijitu).
In Lovolone’s description, the dragon is two wizards whose experiment went wonky and now they’re separated. But even though the wizards are apart, both versions of the dragon has the yin-yang dots of the other’s colour on their chests to show their interconnectedness — there is always a part of one in the other. In a large way, their experiment was successful; they are inseparable. The unity of their opposites form a whole, one cannot exist with the other. So, their story isn’t completely tragic. Plus, it makes for a fine dragon, and the Vale definitely needed a yin-yang dragon (hard to believe we’ve gone 11 years without one).

The two dragons together do look like the yinyang symbol. That’s pretty cool! I like the night (female) version more because I love the color. I also like its design and legs more and it has better animation. But together this is an incredible dragon!
