Hello Everybody,

Thank you so much for supporting DragonVale by submitting your feedback. It is immensely helpful, as it provides the DV Team with player responses and recommendations for the new dragon designs. Here’s a repost of some friendly reminders to ensure all ratings are accurate and counted.

1. You can add comments to your ratings, but please double-check and be sure you provided a number to rate the dragon.

2. If the following is submitted:

But there are 8 questions (or if 8 ratings are submitted, and there’s only 7 questions), the ratings will not count because it’s impossible to tell which rating goes to which category. Using the template will help avoid this issue, but it’s certainly not a requirement.

3. Please use a number between 1-5 to rate the dragons. Numbers outside this range will not be calculated in the rating average.

4. If more than one number is submitted, the rating will not be included.

5. If you change your mind or warm up to a dragon, you can edit your rating, but please inform OboeKade so he can ensure it is accurately recorded.

6. The Rate a Dragon threads will be locked on March 15th, when the event concludes. If you need more time, please message Adlerist prior to the deadline.

1. Animation
1 Earlier on in the event I saw someone mention that Classical seemed too energetic to fit its description. The description literally says it's invited to parties because it's a calm dragon - the "most calm", even! No, it isn't. Even if it did fit the description of the dragon, or the animation is supposed to be ironic, I still wouldn't like it.

1 Why are all the dragons this event so huge?!

3. Price (13,000 Roses)
1 HUH?! It wasn’t even a limited! Even without the silly amount of unbreedables this event, this is not a suitable price for a new release at the beginning of an event. Especially with its low Co-Op cloning odds!

4. How well does Classical fit the theme of the event
1 The only obvious thing relating it to this event is that it gets invited to parties, but that's ruined by its animation. Does it relate to the time period that Beauty and the Beast was set in? There’s a lot of music involved in the movie for sure, and the type of music would (I guess, I’m nowhere near an expert so wouldn’t know) be considered ‘classical’, but this isn’t a clear enough connection. It isn’t even related to the idea of Valentine’s.

5. Design details
2 It gets two points for a gorgeous colour scheme and the fact it looks decent despite being a Melody dragon, but immediately loses a point again for that animation not relating in any way to its theme... Also, the face is weird, and I don’t get the skirt thing – I’m guessing it’s not its actual body because that would be completely unnatural (and there’s nowhere in the description of the dragon that would imply this is a wizard-made dragon) but what is it? Someone mentioned that Classical might be meant to look like a bell, which I can see, but I don’t get the connection to the concept of the ‘classical’ and it still looks odd.

6. How would you rate Classical’s breeding combo (CANVAS + ROSEGOLD)
1 Again, HUH?! The only thing relating Canvas to Classical is that it’s an older form of art than something like digital art but, again, that’s nowhere near enough of a connection. And how does Rosegold fit in besides colour (sort of, at a major stretch)? Part of my problem with the combo may be because I don’t understand the concept behind Classical, but even still Canvas isn’t a nice parent. Something with Chorister or Lullaby may have made more sense.

7. How much do you like Classical (1 = I hate it, 5 = I love it!)
2 As Melody dragons go it’s great. I adore the colour scheme. That’s all the positives I can think of, however.

Comments: I wish I liked this dragon because its colour scheme is simply awesome, but I just don’t understand what it’s meant to be, how it relates to anything, or why it is the way it is.

6. How would you rate Classical’s breeding combo (CANVAS + ROSEGOLD) 4/5 - Neither is really hard to breed, and overall good combo for an epic dragon.


7. How much do you like Classical (1 = I hate it, 5 = I love it!) 3/5 - There were better dragons in the event, but there was also worse.

Animation: 2/5 It's placid. Needs a LOT more.
Size: 2/5 Compared to the other melody dragons, it's big. I can hardly even see them.
Price: 1/5 Four starting dragons and one with a price of 13,000? Whew, that put a dent in what I planned to do with my EC.
Theme: 4/5 Overall fits pretty well.
Design: 4/5 Only critique is the robotic-looking ness of the dragon.
Combo: 2/5 They don't really fit and both parents are rather difficult to breed.
Preference: 3/5 Not the worst I've ever seen.

Comment: I'm genuinely surprised that this wasn't based off of the Ballgown Dragon from the community contest.

1. 5/5 Very animated, clearly moving to a fast tempo.
2. 5/5 Big but airborne so all good.
3. 1/5 Ouch (difficult to breed too).
4. 3/5 Unsure on this. I do think it’s a good fit for a Valentines event but can’t explain why.
5. 5/5 Fabulous colours & just my kind of dragon, floaty & rather beautiful.
6. 2/5 No, no, no, from what I can remember Rosegold is a nightmare to breed & Canvas not easy either. Plus I don’t see the connection.

I think this dragon would have been better if it wasn’t a Melody dragon. If it was a flower dragon for Valentine’s it would match a lot better. That’s the only thing wrong I really see with it. The colors are extremely nice and I like the animation especially the animated rings. There’s a lot of interesting things about the dragon.

Comments / feedback for Deca : I like the ‘ringing’ bell animation. Classical is a pretty, colourful dragon, but I’m not sure how it fits into the Beauty and the Beast or Valentine’s theme. Canvas is a difficult dragon to breed and neither dragon looks like it fits as Classical’s parent.
