Over halfway complete on my Oasian dragon island/army 🌴🐢
Hard to believe it all started with one (the one DECA gave me).
This is awesome and perfect!!! I love Oasian. Nice job and congratulations on getting your design in the game!
Etherium can only be earnt in the Rift.
I think the point of the main park Rift habitats is to house Rift-element dragons in the main park without taking up space in your other habitats.
They're most useful lower level before you've developed your Rift much, which also means your traited dragons are likely to be lower level due to the higher treat costs. DC-wise they'd be wasting slots in other habitats with larger caps - the main park Rift habitats have lower caps than other habitats.
I don't use any anymore, but that's because I try to earn as much etherium as possible so keep all my traited dragons in the Rift.

The Rift Habitats don’t count against your park’s habitat limit.
You can also own an unlimited amount (no cap), and they can be upgraded with Etherium instead of EC, DC, or gems. So that makes them very attractive for endgamers.
I really like the Rift Habitat because the regular and large versions don’t have a big footprint, and I can house one of each Rift exclusive, so when the dragon is needed for a quest, I can send the one from the Vale and let the one in the Rift continue to earn Etherium.
It’s just a nice habitat that lets you display more dragons since there are only 75 habitats in the Rift, and most players have a lot of traited dragons in the Rift Hibernation Cave. I am definitely planning on purchasing more Rift Habitats during the next event.

I didn't mean that the rift habitats waste slots, I mean lower-level dragons waste slots in habitats with higher DC caps. The part you highlighted is referring to dragons not habitats.
I already know that you can have as many as you want.

Thanks for the reminder about the Rift habitat coming up! And that there’s no cap! I’m going to splurge on those. I really like the small and large habitats. It fits the spooky theme perfectly and you can fit a lot of dragons on the island. If new players can’t afford to feed the Rift dragons you can put babies in the small habitat.
I also like that they’re so cheap to upgrade with E. I don’t feel like I’m getting ripped off buying the smaller sizes and upgrading later. It’s hard for me to know which size to get because it depends on how I design my island.
Nice tip about putting the Rift exclusives in the habitats for their quests! I’m gonna start doing that. I seem to get their quests a lot.
Cool, it’s been so long since the habitats were available!

That raises an interesting question strategy wise - can you put rifted gemstone and crystalline dragons in the Rift Habitats? That would allow me to send them on quests without disrupting my gem production (and they really are very pretty) If so, I think I could dedicate quite a few islands to Rift Habitats! One for Traited Gemstones and Crystallines, another for Rift Exclusives, maybe others for specific traited Epic families, I can imagine Galaxies looking gorgeous…

Any traited dragons can go in Rift habitats and Omnitats, even if they earn gems. However, if they do earn gems normally, they earn 0 DC when stored in non-gem habitats. If you're not fussed about DC it's definitely a good idea though.

You’re a genius! All my traited Gemstone / Crystalline dragons are in permanent hibernation. Thank you so much for your brilliance!

Slight correction to the above - traited gemstones cannot live in Omnitats

Oh, I was sure they could... I must have misremembered from a post a while ago. Thanks for the correction
Does anyone have an updated link to island placements? I've been searching and cannot seem to find one that goes beyond island 25. Thanks!
Yes, Tornor created one after the last Expansion Extravaganza. I’ll add it to the Help Desk. Cheers!

I recently saw a post on the subreddit about Corrupticorn's etherium earning rates. According to a lot of the DV community (including the wiki's page for the dragon), Corrupticorn earns more etherium than other Rift epics. Mine doesn't even at different levels, but since the Corrupticorn earning rate was so widely talked about, I just assumed my Corrupticorn was glitched so didn't earn as much as it should do.
But the post also agrees that Corrupticorn doesn't earn more than other dragons. So... is it true that the Corrupticorn earning rate is in fact a myth, or are both of our Corrupticorns just bugged?
So far, we do not have confirmation on the details of the update. When we receive it from Deca, I’ll post it here.

DV update 4.29.1 includes backend and Time Skip Token fixes. It does not address the iOS ad crashes at the breeding / incubation locations. That bug is still being investigated. The update may also include a change to the dragon icon display at the Megatat. This change is only for smaller phone screens.

DV version 4.29.2 is here. This update includes more of the same — internal fixes, nothing visual and nothing that will affect gameplay.
