Deca Games has developed a series of questions to gather feedback from players regarding their new event dragons. To capture an accurate account of players’ assessments, Rate a Dragon threads are created for each new dragon. These threads will be available approximately one to four weeks after a dragon’s release to allow players some time to breed the dragon and admire its fine qualities.
Updates: Deca asked players to rate their dragons and provided questions for the categories they would like to receive feedback on. Please keep all comments related to the dragon. Opinions and suggestions about the selection process Deca utlilises to add player-designed dragons to the game, requests to include or exclude a player’s dragons from the game, and other off-topic comments will not be passed on to Deca. In addition, excessively rude, graphic, or offensive remarks will not be relayed. Criticism is certainly welcomed, but try to keep it constructive and related to the dragon.
The Rate a Dragon threads will remain unlocked until the event concludes on May 3rd. At the end of the event, your ratings and comments will be passed on to the Deca DragonVale Team.
Please take a minute to rate the Thawsome Spring dragons from 1-5 for each category. You can either post your feedback on this thread or message me. Thank you for participating, sharing your thoughts, and making this game even better with each dragon.

Please rate the Somnig dragon on a scale of 1 to 5 (1 = worst, 5 = best). If a rating below 1 or above 5 is given, or if more than one number is provided, the rating will not count.

The post below is a template you can copy / paste into your reply so it’s easier to rate the dragon. Please be sure to use the template assigned for the dragon, as the questions may vary.
1. Animation 4 I like everything except the part I think is meant to be it stretching. It shouldn’t be that sudden or fast. The point of the dragon is that it’s perpetually sleepy, so if it’s stretching, it would be slow and drawn-out, like waking up after a long sleep.
2. Rift trait 4 It's one where depending on the trait it might not look great but it's well-placed.
3. Size (if you don’t own Somnig, please check a friend’s park) 2 Because of its colours it stands out. It might fit in a water habitat but it’s still large.
4. Price (12,500 Eggs) 1 As a second limited goes this would be good especially as there wasn’t a massive jump after Chikipea, HOWEVER, because Fae is horrible to breed, Snooz requires Dream so won't be fun to breed, and Snooz + Fae is a disgusting combo, Somnig should have been a LOT cheaper. There were probably a few people who bought Fae and didn't manage to breed Somnig, so that's over 20k EC. More if they needed to buy Snooz too. 1 point deducted for Solary being released alongside Cherrie.
5. How well does Somnig fit the theme of the event 5 Pretty obvious.
6. Design details 5 That blue is quite possibly the most gorgeous blue ever. I love how it’s hugging its tail like a blanket. And the baby is really cute too
7. How would you rate Somnig’s breeding combo (Snooz + Fae) 1 No. No. No. No. No. This should not be a combo anyway, but a combo for a RARE DRAGON?! Especially when this dragon would clearly make sense as a Dream-element dragon!!! There are dragons with five shown elements; please add the Dream element to this dragon. Please remember that people are still downloading DragonVale for the first time, all these years after it was first published. This is something to celebrate – not try to put people off playing with these kinds of combos. 99% of new releases are very much aimed at people who have been playing longer (difficult combos, including expensive dragons from last event/evolution dragons; expensive themselves; constantly being added so that people who don’t have permanent dragons to try for have something to do; and so on); this is understandable, but it is not fair on newer players. If someone wants them then that may well be pretty much all their EC gone in one fell swoop. Balancing it out with combos like Chikipea’s, or high cloning odds, will help mitigate this somewhat, but not enough to make it fair - especially since some people don't know about cloning. Please try to avoid evolution dragons or dragons newly released in the last event in future combos. Or, if you’re going to use dragons from the last event/an evolution dragon, make the parents a lot cheaper. And maybe don’t use two hard-to-get Epics, one of which contributes all ten primary elements, for a RARE dragon.
8. How much do you like Somnig (1 = I hate it, 5 = I love it!) 4 The combo half works thematically (but what is Fae doing there?!) but is horrible nonetheless, and while it has nice cloning odds this doesn’t make up for it completely. I do really like the dragon though.
Comments: Either add the dream element or change the combo to something a LOT nicer. If you add the dream element, keep the four current elements as shown elements, and preferably don’t add all ten primary elements as hidden elements.

Trait: 4/5 Overall good, though could even use a tad more.
Size: 4/5 A bit big.
Price: 5/5 Still reasonable for limited dragons.
Theme: 5/5 Hibernation is key to the turn of spring.
Design: 4/5 The baby is adorable, though I feel like the adult could have been better in some places.
Combo: 1/5 Firstly, I 1000% agree with @metaphoricalrobin. Two parents which are ridiculously hard to get already for a RARE DRAGON? And, one of which was both released last year AND contributes all elements? This is one of the most disgusting limited combos of all time. And that's saying a lot because most dragons this event have nasty breeding combos.
Preference: 4/5 I love the baby, it's cute. Good job!
Extra Notes: I am with @metaphoricalrobin; I would prefer this dragon to have the dream element. What a missed opportunity.
I think I will have to rename my park to SomnigVale after getting four twins... and I am still getting more.
The Original One is in all things. The Original One is nowhere at all. From all creations, over all creations, does Arceus watch over all.
3. Size (if you don’t own Somnig, please check a friend’s park) - 4/5
4. Price (12,500 Eggs) - 4/5
5. How well does Somnig fit the theme of the event - 2/5
6. Design details - 3/5
7. How would you rate Somnig’s breeding combo (SNOOZ + FAE) - 1/5
8. How much do you like Somnig (1 = I hate it, 5 = I love it!) - 3/5
Comments / feedback for Deca - Cute concept, odd execution. The tail patterns flipped is an odd choice, especially when it's not holding its tail. Breeding combo is not a good fit, Snooz could. Not Fae. I don't mind it being a rare however for its combo, doesn't seem that fair to players.
1. 5/5 Great animation. Love the way it cuddles its tail & it makes me feel sleepy. 2. 4/5 Nice placement but could use a bit more. 3. 4/5 Big isn’t it!? 4. 4/5 Could be worse. 5. 3/5 I think I’m missing something? 6. 5/5 Fab design. Gorgeous colours & you can almost feel its fluffy tail. 7. 1/5 Nope. 8. 5/5 Love it (despite the awful combo).
4. Price (12,500 Eggs): 3, given the difficulty in breeding it.
5. How well does Somnig fit the theme of the event: 5
6. Design details: 5
7. How would you rate Somnig’s breeding combo (SNOOZ + FAE): 1. It was a painful, frustrating, and disappointing week trying to breed one. With Snooz having all 10 elements, the odds for breeding one is 0.5%! I was never able to breed one, vale or rift. Fortunately I was able to clone one in the co-op in each park. 😅
8. How much do you like Somnig: 5
Comments / feedback for Deca: as mentioned by most, regarding the breeding combo.

Didn't get a chance to rate because of my power being out for a few days but finally back! Let's get the show on the road
1. Animation 3/5, most of them are nice but some feel out of character for what it's meant to be based on (the hop animation and the stretch animation are out of character imo)
2. Rift trait 3/5
3. Size (if you don’t own Somnig, please check a friend’s park) 5/5
4. Price (12,500 Eggs) 2/5
5. How well does Somnig fit the theme of the event 4/5, honestly, this dragon's design kind of reminds me of a bear. They usually hibernate during the winter and come out of hiding during the spring. In that case, I think that this dragon fits for the most part!
6. Design details 3/5
7. How would you rate Somnig’s breeding combo (SNOOZ + FAE) 1/5, yikes. While I can understand snooz being a requirement, fae I don't get at all. It really feels like they put all of the dream dragon's names in a hat (besides snooz) to randomly choose for a combo and it ended up being fae
8. How much do you like Somnig (1 = I hate it, 5 = I love it!) 3/5, it's alright
Comments / feedback for Deca These ridiculous combos have to stop
5. How well does Somnig fit the theme of the event : 5
6. Design details : 4
7. How would you rate Somnig’s breeding combo (SNOOZ + FAE) : 2
8. How much do you like Somnig : 4
Comments / feedback for Deca : Baby somnig is adorable! There’s not much animation, but he is a sleepy dragon. I love how Somnig holds its tail like a security blanket, but the colour seems to be upside down. The blue looks like it should be on the bottom of the tail. Somnig fits the theme well with waking up from hibernation, but he is too big. This is easily the worst breeding combo this event. Why such hard to breed parent dragons for a rare dragon? And Fae was only released for the first time last year.
3. Size (if you don’t own Somnig, please check a friend’s park): 5/5 I have him, and he's large, but I love it.
4. Price (12,500 Eggs): 5/5 Pretty good for a limited, only 500 more eggs than Glasswing.
5. How well does Somnig fit the theme of the event: 5/5 His backstory is what makes him fit, otherwise I wouldn't get it.
6. Design details: 5/5 I love how fluffy his tail looks, he has such rich colors, and his little details like the scales are just all so nice. It looks like a lot of work went into him, and I can tell. This is perfect.
7. How would you rate Somnig’s breeding combo (SNOOZ + FAE) 3/5 Very difficult combo. I only have him because I co-op cloned him. I have Snooz, but not Fae, and she's both hard to breed and expensive, so I didn't even bother.
8. How much do you like Somnig (1 = I hate it, 5 = I love it!): 5/5 I really love Somnig.
Comments / feedback for Deca Please keep it up, this dedication and level of detailed design is really exciting and keeps us all coming back!

SOMNIG DRAGON
1. Animation 5/5
2. Rift trait 4/5
3. Size (if you don’t own Somnig, please check a friend’s park) 3/5
4. Price (12,500 Eggs) 3/5 expensive, but i would still purchase the dragon for that price
5. How well does Somnig fit the theme of the event 4/5
6. Design details 5/5
7. How would you rate Somnig’s breeding combo (SNOOZ + FAE) 1/5 Best dragon, worst combo. 2 dream dragons for a rare dragon is pretty bad.
8. How much do you like Somnig (1 = I hate it, 5 = I love it!) 5/5
Comments / feedback for Deca alongside Crackle, this is my favourite from the current event. Well done DECA.
