3 It’s okay.

1 Why is it so huge? Fair enough, not all dragons are going to be the same size, but this one takes up an entire habitat even at level 11. I can’t see my other dragons!

3 A good price for a new release (comment is the same as Ichigo’s). 1 point deducted for Solary being released alongside Cherrie.

4. How well does Ancestor fit the theme of the event
2 I’m not really sure of the relation apart from the fact it has a weird way of finding out its age, like trees, and trees are associated with life, which is associated with spring (hey, I’m trying my best to find a connection here, with basically nothing to go on). Spring’s more associated with new birth than old age; I notice this dragon was on the winter side of the loading screen, but I still don’t see the connection.

5. Design details
3 The baby’s cute and I like that it actually looks sort of like a dragon. Since it’s so giant, the bright wings are annoying. The main thing I don’t particularly like is that the beard doesn’t change at all between the juvenile and adult stages. Given that that’s the literal point of this dragon, it should do.

6. How would you rate Ancestor’s breeding combo (PANLONG + REDBEARD)
2 Redbeard doesn’t make any sense except in name and I don’t see how Panlong relates. There’s quite a lot of breeding involved in getting Redbeard (if you didn’t already have a hidden dragon you’d need to get a monolith and its corresponding dragon to breed one of this event’s hidden dragons) and since Celtic wasn’t actually in the event it isn’t a fair dragon to use. When Ancestor returns and is breedable, I would like to request that Celtic be made available throughout the whole event too. It gets one point back for Panlong being a relatively nice dragon to use given it's element-only, even if it doesn’t make obvious sense. I’m glad Panlong was available in this event and looks like it might be available in future ones.

3 Definitely not my favourite, but I can see why others might like it.

Comments: I know juvenile and adult stages tend to be the exact same design with a size difference, but I feel like this dragon needs to be an exception. The whole point of it is that its beard relates somehow to its age, and literally nothing changes about the beard between the juvenile/adult stages.

I went for Ancestor first in cloning. Nice & chonky.

Animation: 5/5 In all honesty, I kind of expect this dragon to be kind of lethargic. I really like the animation on his beard.

Size: 1/5 Holy - why so big? I can't see my dragons! Even after using the fountain of youth, this big chungus may have to go into a separate habitat.

Price: 5/5 Reasonable.

Theme: 2/5 I don't really get much spring vibes with this dragon, other than maybe the melting of ice.

Design: 5/5 I really like some of the use of the Glyptodon/Ankylosaurus tail. It makes it seem more prehistoric.

Combo: 3/5 In all honesty, there could be more more fitting combos. ZILLA + CENTURY would have been perfect.

Preference: 2/5 I would like it more if it wasn't so big.

Ancestor Dragon

1. 4/5 It seems to be trying its best & I find the animation endearing.
2. 4/5 This one is SO ridiculously huge that I’m embracing it. Put one with a fire trait (from the RBC) in a cold habitat all alone & it’s bossing it. Can’t do that with all these oversized dragons though.
3. 4/5 Could be worse.
4. 1/5 I don’t get it.
5. 5/5 For once I really like a dragon because of its bulk rather than inspite of it. Love the beard & the battered wings. Ancestor looks worn out but not ready to give up.

Comments / feedback for Deca : I love the colour scheme of Ancestor, the green and orange look great together. Ancestor is tooooo big. He is so big, he can’t fly even with his huge wings. Panlong suits ancestor as they both look like ‘old’ dragons. But Redbeard is an odd choice – a hidden Epic dragon to breed a rare dragon. It doesn’t make sense. Not only does Ancestor have an overly complicated method to calculate its age, it also has an overly complicated breeding combo.
