You know what's ironic about that? Since the Sun dragons (except Tranquil, Binky, and Lageto) were removed from the event Market, it isn't the right time to breed a few of the available dragons.
The Dusk Dragon, Darkmatter Dragon, and Midnight Dragon are all part of this event, and the Moon Dragon is a required parent of many of the dragons. However, all of them can only be bred at night, which the event theme prevents.
As a result, players are currently forced to buy these dragons, or the Twilight Tower, from the event market as it is otherwise impossible to breed them.
If it’s the regular Day theme, then check after 7pm because it probably changes to night at that time.

I can look in fifteen minutes (it's 6:48 pm here). If it does change, I'll eat my words and delete the comment XD

if the theme is not set to day with the twilight tower then regardless of whether it's during an event or not, it follows the device clock, as harwood mentioned. Since Lightmatter is still available this event this is actually the fairest thing they could do.

There seems to be a problem with Ignaqtus clipping through the bottom of the habitat he's in. It isn't as bad when I put him in a Giant Water habitat, but it's very noticeable in one of the bigger Paradise habitats.

We share our physical lives with those in spirit. For life, like love, never dies. Love knows no limits, not even death.

I just logged into an alt account without the Twilight Tower to see that it's still daytime. So I can confirm that there will not be any night without the use of Twilight Tower 😔

Hmm... unless they changed that since last event, that's a bug. Last event, before I got the twilight tower, everything was changing after 7pm - I bred moon dragons in RBCs, Brutiful was its night form, etc.. I have a small park without the twilight tower so I'll check this evening if I remember.
adlerist The Forum looks amazing. I'm loving these summery colours. Thank you for all your hard work getting everything ready in time for the start of the event. 😊
There is so much to like about this event. The circus has given way to school, so a new theme with more scope for different scholarly and potion themed dragons.
As much as I'd love to have a break between events, it is always exciting to see the new dragons and decorations at the beginning of an event. The loading screen with the witches and wizards flying to school is awesome and I really like the look of the new Broom, Broom decoration.
I'm also looking forward to clearing some of the eggs from my gifts menu with requests from the Donation Boards. As already mentioned, it would be so nice if there was a filter in the Social menu. 😊
Lunis should be available to breed again - as should Solis - as they are both permanent dragons. Deca made them unavailable for the Runic Caves, but they look available again in the Dragonarium.

Looking at the post on the subreddit about it, the Dragonarium never marked them as unavailable. It was only the breeding hint that showed they weren't.
I just checked the hint now and it is no longer saying they're unavailable so it should be fine.
I'm glad to see the unbreedable three dragons this event are 10% cloning chances again... That at least eases off the limiteds a bit. Hopefully there won't be two at the same time this event 🤣
Since I'm fairly new to the whole Donation Board thing, what's the best approach for a user that has more than a few limited dragons to breed during the event? Waiting for the required dragons to show up in the breeding caves by chance, thus wasting some time, or actively trying to breed them (which requires spending time that should be dedicated to the missing dragons)? Or perhaps go after them in the Rift with a few attempts per day?

Breed for the dragons you want. If you manage to get them you'll be saving more EC than you'd have earned by completing the board.
The way I see it, it's more likely to be the case that it's possible a result will fulfill a board requirement if you're breeding for dragons you want, than the dragons you want to show up if you're actively trying to fulfill the requirements.
It looks like all required dragons (at least for the first board) are permanent hybrids so if you're breeding specifically for them there are very few - if any - event dragons that can be a result. But since the donation board dragons are (so far) all permanent hybrids, it's relatively likely at least some will show up as fails when trying to breed event dragons.
If you have any unwanted dragons in your gifts that fulfill requirements, use them. That's the only time I'd suggest actively working towards completing donation board goals.
If you want to definitely have the chance of doing both, then if you want something like Darkmatter, breed for it. Darkmatter requires Aurora, a pseudo (dragon that gives all primary elements), so Aurora + Nightbloom has a chance for Darkmatter if you want it AND all of the donation board requirements. (I'm not sure if there are any other combos like this since I haven't had a chance to plan the event yet.)
If you manage to complete a donation board before the time runs out, does it immediately reset or does it still count down till the fixed reset time?
It immediately resets and you get a new board. I just finished one and cleared half of the second one.
There is a max of 5 boards per day for people who have a lot of dragons in their social, gems and E. (I’m looking at you Ellie) I personally have never hit the limit. Double days do apply to the boards and you do get a board completion bonus, which also gets doubled. Multiple boards on doubles day generally get hard and require Epics. That might affect your recommendation on pursuing the boards. There is a lot of EC to be had on doubles days.

This makes perfectly sense, thank you! I always removed the unwanted eggs from my social section because I found them pretty annoying, but now I regret it a little

Wait, so it's a limited release but in the main market? Just to clarify.
If you haven't already, please can you ask if Loot can be made available? I don't have it yet and there will be many players who want Jackpot who also don't have Loot. The cloning odds are a good reason for Loot to be made available when Jackpot is, because 1.5% is not nice. Especially given how many event dragons can't have their combos met...
Sigh... At least it's not technically a surprise limited.

I know it stinks to have to wait, but at the very least Loot will be part of the next event. 77 days will end up being enough time.
