Either completely change the Galaxy Egg of Mystery, so it recognises that a player is missing a traited Galaxy dragon and awards it first, before providing duplicates, or let players wish for traited versions of dragons. If there’s a new Galaxy dragon in the next event, then it’s only going to push the demand for a solution to acquire traited Galaxy dragons.
Hopefully Gravity is in the final day reward. That would mean (hopefully) that Deca has recognized the issue exists and is at least giving us a way to get new Galaxy releases traited. I know that’s hardly a good answer to the issue, but it’s one avenue. I, for one, hope we get another Galaxy or more this event. To mitigate the trait issue though, they should never be used in breeding combos ever again. Ever.

There are a lot of Galaxy dragons. It’s a large collection. But we keep getting more and more with no end to the madness.

I didn’t update the game but my iPad must’ve automatically updated it because I have no spice & a suspicious $36 million dragon cash sitting in my gifts box that I have not opened. This always seems to happen to me. I can never decide what to spend my event money on so I just save it up until the end where I spend the last day checking on my DragonVale & thinking “oh I have more time maybe I’ll choose later” until I either miss the window to spend it because I’m so incredibly indecisive or a bug happens where I lose all the event money I have saved up & never get it back. Am I able to get it back? If I can any idea on what dragons to get? I’m so horrible at making choices. Sincerely, Hazel the Inconveniently Indecisive. So sorry to hear this happened to you, Hazel! In this post from yesterday, there are instructions on how to turn off automatic app updates. I highly suggest everybody does this because if there’s a problem with a new update for any app, including DV, your device will automatically download the glitchy version. It’s better to have control over the updates and download them when you want. If there’s an app update ready, a red badge on the App Store icon with a number on it (indicating how many updates are available) will show. Tap on the icon and select the apps you want to update.
You can contact Deca and ask them if they’ll let you exchange the unclaimed DC in your Gifts for the event dragons. But I have a feeling they won’t allow this. It would be a lot of work to manually add event content for all the players who forgot to make purchases before the event concluded. I know people are very busy and keeping track of a mobile game isn’t a priority. We post warnings on the Forum’s event thread when the event is coming to a close, but of course, most players cannot visit us every day. I’d recommend setting up a calendar reminder on your device so it alerts you when the event deadlines are nearing and you don’t miss out.

They did get the currency back to me so I bought a Yarr and another dragon to spend most of the spice.
I informed Deca last night that you did not have your Spice restored. Since we’re DV friends, I provided them with the Friend IDs for your main and alt parks. They informed me several hours later that they resolved the issue. It sounds like you didn’t contact Deca. In the future, if you need compensation or currency restored, please open a help ticket and support will assist you. Thank you!
I did open a ticket with support. Then replied when I noticed I had 0 spice. I think the problem was my reply was 4ish eastern so they were gone for the day. They responded about 3 hours before I got up so I spent the spice this morning.

Is a possible solution the runic caves? All they’d have to do is allow galaxy breeds in there then you could select a traited.

Is a possible solution the runic caves? All they’d have to do is allow galaxy breeds in there then you could select a traited.
Galaxy dragons can only be cloned at the Cooperative Breeding Cave. Lunis and Solis bend the Galaxy breeding rules and can be bred outside of the co-op. As a result, they crash the game if players try to breed them at the Runic Breeding Caves. That’s why they’re always unavailable when the RBCs are in the game. It doesn’t look like a bug Deca can easily fix, because it’s been years. So, unfortunately, Deca cannot allow any other Galaxy dragons to be bred or cloned outside of the co-op.

I feel your pain! I was not feeling well and slept through the end of last year’s Halloween event, and while I managed to get the unbreedables through some kind coop friends, it took a lot of time and I’m still missing eggs. These days I make myself spend as soon as the event earning ends, even if it’s just to fill in the dragons I don’t have and I decide on any decorations later

Evolution dragons are nowhere near the same problem because you can purchase them and their decos in the event market. You can also wish for them. You cannot purchase from an event market or wish for traited Galaxy dragons.

It’s hard to explain to players who aren’t actively trying for blue or purple fire what the problems are in trying to achieve these goals. It’s good that some players aren’t interested in the different fires but it’s also good that other players are. Blue and purple fire should definitely be challenging and a long term goal, but it doesn’t need to be near impossible. We’re just explaining some of the flaws in the game that make these goals unnecessarily difficult. Trust us, they do exist and we experience them constantly.
