Traited-twin Sea Shanty was an instant pick for me. The only traited dragon I was missing. Like Hawk, I usually wait until the end of the event to select the dragon from the final prize, not this time.

Congrats on your Sea Shanty! Completing an event collection, especially a Rift one is a monumental task, even as an end-game player! Deca keeps us on our toes with the three ‘unbreedables’ every event. I hope he sings you some wonderful tunes! Though being traited, I wonder if they might be a tad ‘colourful’.

Also, a random thought - the main reason why I don't want to try for purple fire is the fact it's impossible to get traited versions of unbreedables in non-RBC events. Even galaxies are theoretically possible, with a lot of patience and luck, but unbreedables aren't because of how they work. By the time you can breed for traited versions, plenty of events have come and gone with their own unbreedables. I think people have suggested buying unbreedables working like EoMs before and DECA wasn't too keen, but do you think DECA might implement a feature where if you've got the unbreedable from cloning (whether the requirement is having a normal variant, a twin, or both), you can use its combo but only in the Rift? The chance of getting untraited dragons works like usual so it's still not guaranteed you'll even manage to breed a traited version, and you still have to balance this will getting the limited new releases, but certainly for me if that feature was implemented I'd be more willing to try for the currently impossible purple fire. I definitely don't think this would cause a balancing issue with getting traited versions, especially since the main thing it does is make getting traited versions actually possible. It might also encourage people to spend (and therefore possibly buy) gems in order to clone the unbreedable as soon as possible so they can start trying in the Rift. Has something like this been suggested before?

Some way to add/remove traits would be great. Maybe a tower for the park that could do that only for a level 1 dragon because of the food difference? I think the main reason you can't buy draons like EOM is probably they don't want that you cold get a twin that easy? With so many dragons EoM's become too low a shot for something you need.

Some time ago, when trying to clone Misfortune, I bred a Lodestone dragon, and (due to it being a time of over a day) momentarily thought it was an epic before noticing the suspicious timer. Just now, in the very same small park that did eventually clone Misfortune, I was trying to clone Efreet. I got excited at a timer of one day, one hour and... twenty-nine minutes.
But it gets worse... I had just gotten a Curse dragon in that park with my gift, so I may have set that park's curse in stone.

I’ll suggest your idea, but it may be complicated for Deca to change the breeding rules for specific dragons at a specific location. Perhaps the dragon could be breedable at any location, not just the Rift. So essentially, the dragon becomes available once you’ve cloned or twinned it.
Right now, the only way to obtain purple fire is by breeding the unbreedable event dragons when they’re released during Dragon’s Week and using the Runic Breeding Caves to claim the unbreedable dragons that haven’t been released yet.
It’s not impossible. I was able to do it before, but the problem is having enough Etherium to unlock all the traits for all the dragons. It’ll take a year or two to earn that much Etherium if you’re frugal, collect frequently, and have most or all of the 75 Rift habitats at max level.

Letting players buy twin and traited dragons ruins the challenge of blue and purple fire, so trying to achieve blue and purple fire will lose meaning. It also works against a dragon breeding game and supports a dragon buying game which many players, including those on the Forum, are wholly against. Most players want to breed dragons, not purchase them.
A mechanism to add/remove traits at the Rift Breeding Cave has been suggested and submitted to Deca. I think the difficulty would be developing the feature. It would be time-consuming and expensive, so I’m not sure it would be worth it from Deca’s perspective. The enormous number of untraited dragons bred in the Rift is a problem. But the unbreedable new event dragons and Galaxy dragons are a different, additional problem since they can’t even be bred/traited in the Rift.

Yep. When EC collection ends, everything except buying and breeding returning dragons ends (there are no limiteds available and the unbreedables are clone-only anyway).

I've found the easiest way to check when the event ends is to check the timer on the last limited dragon. When he leaves, the event is over. The event island goes, daily reward disappears, runic breeding caves/eggy hatchy/donation boards leave (if available) and event currency can no longer be earned.
Then you have two more days to finish your shopping of event dragons, pedestals, decorations etc. The dragons in the market remain breedable for this time. As @metaphoricalrobin mentioned, the three new dragons in the last tier can only be cloned, as they have been all event. 😊
Just got this new quest: Oh Shiny. I suppose it is Aurum? My Aurum is kind of busy at the moment 😉, so I will just throw in a treasure dragon. I guess it will need to be confirmed later. 😅

Aurum is the only dragon that doesn't have a quest yet, I think it is a safe bet. 😉

I should have checked before posting. In that case I will scatter my growing collection of Misfortune dragons around the park and give some of my Visitors the opportunity to depart in an ambulance or a hearse, payable in advance.

Oh excellent! I was able to breed Aurum (though to be fair, I did have to spend some gems), and am in love. I do wish he were larger, though. He's so tiny in my treasure habitat.
How was everyone's luck this event? I got lots of dragons, but those were mainly elemental-requirements only bred in the rift. I was able to nab a few others, and even though there wasn't a big extra way to earn EC besides farming treats, I managed to get most of what I wanted. I didn't buy any gems or spice at all.
I bought: Relic of the Epics, Monument of the Epics, Water theme, Sun theme, Rainbow theme, the new water path, some paradise habitats, a few giant habitats, Chromacorn, Spectropod, Rigel, Scarab, Glimmerwing, Yarr (end of event gift egg), Delicia, Tebori, and Pharaoh.
Managed to breed all the elemental combo dragons except for Sunscorch and Alffa (not counting the ones that come with fancy dress wear - I only managed to breed Ruckus out of those). I bred Tidal, Kann, Oasian, Mantasu, Tutal, and Aurum!!!
But thanks to me developing my alternate parks more during this and last event, I was able to use my end of event gifts to try for dragons that I can likely clone in my park, such as Ikatako and Spinky. Overall a very great event for me.
Anyone else excited for the next one yet? I'd like a break ... however, I'd really like to see if they do the camping event, and if so, what the new zodiac dragons will be!

As far as I'm aware all pedestals sell for the same as the dragon. (Unless they're affected by a bug; I think there was once an issue with Solarflare's pedestal.) My luck wasn't as great as previous events but I'll manage to get everything in at least one park, which is fine for me. Now all I have left is about 13 dragons from Camping, about 13 from Halloween and 10 from outside of events and I'll have all dragons in at least one park. (At some point I'll get around to sorting out my small parks so that they actually get treats since I always forget to harvest them. 😂) I'm absolutely excited for the next event - I started playing DV again halfway through Camping Under the Stars and when I discovered the Zodiac dragons I knew I was going to become obsessed with the game again. They're like Galaxies but even more sparkly! I believe DECA confirmed in the last AMA on Reddit that they would be finishing the Zodiacs so I'm really hoping this event will be it. 😁
